Then this morning she was on MSN and she isn't allowed in the morning because she is always late for school. Oh got the bathroom door slammed in my face. So just waiting for FI to come home he is dropping her off at dance for 5 hours yippee..... Tonite is date nite... unfortunately we have to discuss these issues and deal with them. She has been very difficult at times... Yeah what I don't share with my girls? Thanks for listening

Hey Shells, Glad to hear FI got a new job. Futuremrsgoodrich, I agree with vdaybride, you just want answers and it is a stressful time with the holidays just around the corner. I would be pissed too, it has to go into the budget and it is just a couple months away. I totally would be freaking out and demanding a price list and some pictures. Sorry is 3am here "Sue" isn't sleeping, I read the post about the friend wanting to do the brides hair the day of the wedding (sorry I forget which lovely bride this is) I think I'd be worried about her and her baby and she being able to focus that day. Just tell her I am sorry I just need you there as my friend and not to be worrying about my hair. I had another fitting on my dress tonite "forgot my camera". my FMIL probably wouldn't have been able to work it anyway. the dress is looking great and should be ready next week. I am very excited. I also talked to FMIL about the fur coat and explained how I was feeling about owning something so beautiful and accepting something so expensive the I know I'll never wear. She was really good about it, and was totally ok with the thanks but no thanks. So guess what? In two weeks we're going shopping for a dress for her (not sure where with all the winter stuff being out) and we're going shopping for diamond ear rings. She really liked that idea. So no worries about a paint can being thrown at me for wearing a fur coat, I will just sparkle and a sparkle looks good even if your wearing jeans and a t shirt. Very happy girl here. I should try to go back to bed... nite chickies

I had FI's cousin here for Easter, she has a 3 year old and "oh my dear god", I thought I was going to loose it. I had never in my life seen so much energy and damage in the wake of kid in my life. I had dishes broken, he smacked the dog and bit her. He tried to push a pen through my leather couch. Oh he threw the candle in the bathroom in the toilet. I could go on... Good luck... I found a large glass of Sherry took the edge of the whole event. lol

I have a plan to deal with FMIL, I am taking her to dinner before we go see the the dress. I called her last night and she is very excited, she has another DIL that she gets along well with however they would never do dinner together. She pretty happy when i called her last night and suggested dinner and a chat about the wedding. She hasn't had any input into the wedding because she has been away for all of September and October. I actually looked at some diamond ear rings yesterday at the mall. I am really liking that idea. I could even wear them for the wedding... maybe not.. I want dangling bling.lol I think I am going to try the local "Shoppers Drug Mart" they apparently do make up applications for free here. My gfriend told me that the one closest to me has a really awesome girl there has done her makeup a couple for times. My one gfriend never goes through the door without looking polished to the 9's. Hi Shells I will talk to FMIL on wednesday, I have another dress fitting and she wanted to tag along to see my dress. I will have to tell her, Just the thought of having her spend that kind of money on something I will never wear is just wrong. I know I would never feel comfortable with it on. Funny enough I know she has two fur coats and I have never seen her with either on... I went to Sephora today and looked their stuff... holy smokes for about $250 I could have got the basics for my wedding day.... That is way too much.... I wear make up on the weekends and sometimes during the week. Mostly nothing!!!!! I think that is alot for makeup. I will maybe go to the local drug store and check out the brands they have. $54 dollars for a foundation was a bit extreme.....

Thanks ladies for your two cents! I am awake this morning and no wine in my system, I can think straight! I will be thanking her for the kind offer, however saying no to the coat. First I am not the woman who would just wear that anywhere, shopping, the grocery store where ever. I would be uncomfortable with the stigma attacked to the coat, the yes it's a fur coat and the who the hell is that in the coat. I would be embrassed if i ran into a friend while wearing. Silly but I am modest!!! Second I don't have the rest of the attire to pull it off, boots, purse and personality. I hardly think my over worn knock of uggs would flatter the coat. third I never go anywhere to actually wear it. Even our company xmas parties are at local pubs. I just would not be comfortable owning one or wearing it. My step-daugther wouldn't even hold the folder for me to put on my shoes last night, she thought the whole concept was disgusting. I know there are tons of people the feel that way about fur coats. Now i just have to find a nice way to tell my FMIL. My FI suggested that I tell her to buy me diamond stud ear rings (simple). Now on to the make up thing, if you ladies are trying different lipsticks and mascara please keep us all updated as to your trials and results. Please please

Hi Ladies, I am home it's just after 8pm... Finished dinner at FMIL's nice dinner,i am still in a state of shock. First of all FI told me she called him this week at work to chat about the wedding. She was feeling that I was cutting corners with cost and she understands I am still paying off my son's schooling and trying to get my business going. She offered my FI money towards our wedding. Which he politely declined and said we're fine. Which we totally are and would never accept her help. Love her dearly however we're both over 40 and yeah if we don't have our crap together at this point we shouldn't be getting married. so we're there for dinner and she brings this up again and I say thanks and we have it all under control. I am by not means cutting corners and i am not spending a ton of money on things that are not important to me. Anyway she leaves the room and comes back with this huge red folder thingy and gives it to me. Holy Flippin Crap!!!! I am looking at the cover and it has a lady in a mink coat on it. I am looking totally baffled, so is FI, she then says to me " I want to buy you a mink coat for a wedding gift from me. I am speechless "yup me, not a word can i find. So I open this folder and it is about custom made coats and they start at $6000. First i am not sure how I feel about a fur coat and second not something I would ever think about owning. So here I am stunned to no end, speechless and overwhelmed!!!! I finally got out of my mouth "I don't know what to say". I am very grateful that she cares that much about me and would think to buy something so expensive for me as a wedding gift. BUT I don't know how I feel about it.... Where the hell would I wear it and would I wear it? She asked me to call her this week she would like for me to have it or be fitted for it before she goes away the beginning of December. I am totally shocked!!!!! I feel like crap because I thought she invited us for dinner to complain about the wedding... What would you gals say? I am really not sure how I am feeling.
