I am an older bride as well and I have found that this site have been a great resource for information about the planning of my wedding, DIY projects, and a great support/sounding board for me. I have to say that I have been treated like one of the girls and welcomed! let us see your dress and give us a chance.

Raykel, So today I got an email from Jazmin today - no price list like Swankster777 got (thank you for posting that!) telling me a cost for the two hour reception and that it is $18pp. That is the only option she gave me....then she told me I could not rent speakers because the resort does not allow this? I would have to hire the DJ. So I am wondering what is going on. Jazmin is giving me the same BS and saying it isn't possible to rent speakers and I currently have my TA contacting her and giving her a blast!!!!! I am so fustrated with the no communication and the lies.... I mean I know they are running a business and they are trying hard to sell things to make money... However I don't want a DJ I shouldn't be forced to hire one. I am trying so hard not to have negitive feelings about the whole thing but it is very hard not to... Keep me posted ladies as to how you make out.

Funny Lisa Like you say some days you feel totally at peace with your body and actually feel good about yourself, and then you catch yourself in a mirror or see a picture and you go WTF is that me? I had a fitting for my dress a few weeks ago and I felt so awesome in the dress and was smiling ear to ear, my girlfriend took a picture of me. We come home and she emails me the picture, I open the email and nearly start to cry.... I felt I looked like crap in the dress and not to mention a hippo. I try hard to focus on who I am as a person and not my body type.... I think, this wonderful guy loves every inch of me and what more could i ask for? Don't get down over it hun.... Chin up... beauty isn't a size.

Here is your laugh for the day! I am rushing getting a shower last night and in the panic of shaving legs and trying not to cut myself... I step on the stupid little plastic cover and jump in pain and I kick the tiled shower wall, well snap goes the big toe nail.... OUCH!!! oh did it ouch... few curse words.. I am now staring at a very very short toe nail and I am about to cry... NOT FROM THE PAIN... I am freaking out about how short it is and if it will be long enough for french manicure in time for the wedding....Total Drama Queen!!!!!! How do we get so twisted and absorbed? lol Have a great day ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning Ladies I was cheating you gals last nite.... I was out on a cougar nite with my gfriend... We went to see American Idol winner david Cook. He won two years ago... I really love that guy... bad boy cute... We had a blast and gambled alittle, concert was at the casino. We are planning a Jack and Jill, Stage and Doe... whatever the lingo for the pre wedding drunk feast. lol we are doing it in Mexico a couple nites before the wedding. Or plan is a poker nite and we have included 100 poker chips in each OOT bag, kids included. I think it will be pretty tame and just a hoot. I don't want the drunk binge, I am just too old for the hangover.... Registery issue!!!! I am not doing that I have had my own home for over 20 years and we just combined two homes and got rid of the seconds of everything we had. I have told people NO GIFTS!!! please... Ok i am the old bag on this thread!!!! lol I don't care. I do if it interesting that all of you ladies are in your 30's and getting married for the first time. Mature strong women!!! I was 18 and stupid when I first married and trust me it was brutal and I stayed for 15 years. I started dating him at 15 years old!!!!! My step-daugther is 15..... Holy Hell what was I thinking? I just think you ladies are at an age where you know what you want in life and can stand up for that. It's been great getting to know all of you... I am going to see David Cook tonight.(american Idol winner 2 years ago). My Gfriend and I are doing a cougar date... Two forty somethings cougars waving our bras at a 20 something cutie pie.... lol... I would never wave my bra around someone could get hurt.

SusieQ...is there any particular store on ebay you like? I tried looking on ebay and just entered a search for summer dresses - which gave me a return of about 700+ I narrowed that down and still ended up with around 400...sheesh. I like to shop, but that is a lot of scrolling! So I switched to Victoria's Secret on line catalogue...no sales, but pretty dresses and stuff! So if you could point me in the right direction I would love the help! Raykel, sorry hun I just random ebay shop... I think you have seen my posts about not sleeping and being awake at weird hours, I shop online.
