So basically we pay the same amount regardless if the DJ is there or not? This does not make sense to me. Can anyone please provide some insight on this? Who has used the resort DJ and did it cost $190 per hour? Who was able to rent equipment to hook up an iPod and how much did it cost you? Did the DJ come to make sure everything worked okay? OOOOOH Girlie you and I are having the same fight... I have my TA working on this ... No way in hell am I paying $190 dollars an hour for someone to push "play". Just not happening.... i have told them Fi and his crazy cousins will bring their guitars and we'll have a sing along before I pay that.... It would not be pretty.... I'll keep you gals updated on my progress... Cause she has offered to allow me to rent speaker from a vendor in Cancun... Damn I think I might just start a speaker rental business in Cancun.

Last night I was checking zappos.com (the US version) and they carry them but were sold out of my size, but I entered my email to have them notify me when they were in stock and they already did this morning!! Problem is I have to ship them to them to VT but at least I could pay with a CAD credit card. I don't need them for a couple months anyway. So excited!! Only $45 USD too which I think is a good deal. Damn, I have spent so much $$$ on summer clothes for this trip, lol, I am going to be set for years. Now my feet are going to be so comfortable in the Mexican sun. I love my reef's I got the white and pink and they are so comfy.... I have worn them around the house so much just breaking them in and really!!! truely!!! there wasn't any breaking in... Their perfect. Mine ended up costing me 58.00 canadian with the shipping from ebay. Chris I hear you on the shopping for the holiday/wedding... I have spent so much bloody money this past 4 months. Even on my stepdaughter who at this time should be wearing a garbage bag in the street... I have bought her 3 dresses and two bathing suits.. One she is getting for xmas because it was a hundred dollars nearly. I have bought several dresses for myself. I take vacations every year and I did have dresses and stuff but I have dropped around 25lbs since our last vacation.... I don't weigh myself so I am not sure of the exact amount. I just know I have dresses that are look pretty baggie. I know shut the hell up!!! it's a good thing.... Chris my thoughts and I am sure the rest of the gals on here, If you still have the house and you haven't sold any of the kids to make it happen (hmmm there is a thought!!!) it is the most special time in our lives and you want to look great. Just make it happen!!!!! -

I got the browns for my moms, the cobolt blue to match my girls dresses, 2 black ones just for me--- I mix and matched colors because you are allowed to so thats really nice. I love the colour she had in her hands... My postal code is L3X 1T2, I think we just need to know the weight of the packages, which i am sure is light weight. Thanks for checking bella -

Hi Brooke I was thinking that if anyone in the US (sorry everyone shipping gets CRAZY outside of the US) needs some cool OOT bag stuff that I could post the photos of the pashminas, keychains and lanyards and I can go pick it up and we can ship it if it would help anyone out-- paypal acct it or something because Timberly found some awesome things REALLY reasonable prices!! I am wondering if it would be that expensive to ship to Ontario, I sent a box of 24 flip flop luggage tags to Ohio and it wasn't more than $14.00.. The price you gals got for those pashminas is totally amazing... Is that the pashminas that Timberly is holding in her hand.... the colour is so beautiful. -

My biggest stress factor is making sure all the details are covered and worry about other people.... FI is very laid back and doesn't worry about anything.... PS not sure which bride made the comment most men are not into the getting married thing.... Mine actually is... We were living together for just over a year and he asked me to marry him..I was fine with just living together... he really felt we should get married and has done his share in the planning process.... Sometimes I laugh with the DIY projects because he is right in there sticking labels and making sure things look 100%....

Oh she is grounded!!!!!! she has a semi formal party next week that she isn't going to anymore... How sad she has a new dress and shoes... Oh forgot I bought both for her.... She is also not allowed on the internet or to hangout with her friends, sleepovers anything until after the holidays.... She not only has she lied and tried to pull a couple fast ones... She isn't keeping her school stuff up to date... That history project still isn't done.... It was due last wednesday... -

Hi Ladies, I am having a great day... my honey is home and I am so happy.... He is dealing with the little PMS monster and I just feel so free. Damn last week was stressful!!!!! I didn't tell you what she did to me... wednesday she never came straight home from school as she is suposed to do. She gets out of school at 2.45 and I have to leave the house with her by 4.15pm to get her to dance for 4.30pm.... So by 5.45pm I am having a meltdown her dad is thousands od miles away, I have called all her friends and they tell me that they have no idea where she is, I call the dance studio thinking maybe she took the bus there. She is missing it's dark and it's been three hours. She finally comes in the door and tells me her teacher kept her because she didn't have her project done. Ok at first I am just thank god she is ok and then the old bitches brain starts working, I am not that stupid. The teacher would have called her had her call home. So next day SusieQ calls the history teacher and does the inquirey " Was Little Miss at school for three hours yesterday? AH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the teacher proceeds to tell me that she probably went to meet up with her ex boyfriend because he has been bugging her to see he one last time (oh that is a whole other story). Ok I don't confront her I play all nice for the next couple days and then I guess History Teacher told her I called. So Little Miss cover her tracks comes home on Friday and tells me that her teacher told her I called and that she now remembers that she was in actual fact in the Library the whole time and that I better not call back the teacher because she thought I was extemely rude. Can You See Smoke Smell Smoke?? Oh and the best part was that she told me she had to babysit for her dance instructor on Friday and I called her dance instructor and she was totally like "Ah nope didn't ask her to babysit". So when little mess came home from school on Friday I told her tat Crystal (her dance instuctor) called and said she didn't need her to babysit....hahahahahahahaha she was eating a yougurt and I am sure she found a huge ass lump in it that she couldn't swallow...... Damn I am good.... -

Susie..I know this is from a few days ago, but I have been working, so I can read, but not always answer! You said the resort is trying to make you hire a DJ...funny, I am at the same resort and that is what they are telling me too, but I think it was two of the girls on the other thread who just got back....rented speakers for $20/hr and plugged their iPods in. At our same resort! So I sent an email off asking the WC about that and some other price differences...still waiting after almost two weeks. Nada. Maybe if we both stick to our guns and anyone else who is going there we can win this one! Let me know if you hear anything. My TA is working on this issue and I'll update you as soon as I have an answer. I am not paying nearly $400 dollars for some dude to push the play button. I have told them FI and his cousins will bring their guitars and we'll have a sing along around the pool before I have a DJ. Trust me that will not be pretty. My TA has cut and pasted areas of post on here that clearly states other brides were giving that option. -

SusieQ replied to msmoodyr's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I am traveling Air canada and they allow two checked bags and one carry on. Checked bags can not exceed 50lbs each so that gives us a 100 lbs each.... Their are five people leaving from my house. So I think I am fine with the weight. I am bring receipts for the stuff. I am hoping my MIL and kids can bring back my extra bags. We have large and medium bags so they fit into each other. Good luck gals... I am leaving Jan 27th I will update as soon as I return. -
