I have been to showers for second time brides and I am fine with going. Myself second time around I have advised everyone that I do not want to have a shower. My girlfriend has pushed the issue a couple of times and I have flat out told her no. I am just not comfortable with the gift thing and it isn't the second time around thing it's the gifts. I don't want people spending money on me.

Oh I was out shopping to today for client gifts.. Just a little xmas bag with chocolates and candy canes. Oh and doggie bones for the puppies... I went to the local dollar store and bought 160 tiny xmas bags 90 little xmas puzzle books for the kids and 160 candy canes and 160 chocolate santas. 11 doggie bones... Ok you had to see the little chickie on the cash when I pushed my cart up to her. She is probably 16 and just overwhelmed with numbers... Some stuff was 3 for $1.00 and others 2 for $1.00... I seen her panic and I knew she thought she had to ring everything one by one... Her manager came over and helped her out because she looked like she was going to cry. Poor baby.....

Hey Ali, I made my own bouquet with real touch flowers and they look pretty real. I hear you on the blues... I was feeling it this morning, I had a bit of a wine hangover and stayed up really late. FI and my neighbour (best friend) went to a another neighbours house for xmas cheer. We came home 2am in the morning... I wasn't feeling pretty this morning. Then I got online to see what my lovely Timberly had rounded up for me yesterday and it put a smile on my face. Good girls on this thread "good girls"... Some need to be told to close their legs... hahaha sorry Shells... couldn't resist!!!!! Hang in there girls and have a great evening....

We are not having a wedding party either... Just us... too many issues to deal with when you sart asking people to be apart of the whole process... I just can not be bothered with the drama.

That really sucks that she is treating you like that... I am thinking she is jealous and just wants to create a situation about her. Oh Raykel Big Hug from the Momma Bear here, People suck big time!!!! It isn't possible to plan something wonderful and exciting and not have someone say I can not believe you doing this to dispite me. I really hate the "all about me people". You will never make those people happy.. If you had the wedding home there would be the people bitching that you guys are doing this and it all a big money grab... Close your ears to those people... You can not make them happy because their bitter people......

Hi Ladies, I have fought this speaker issue like you would not believe... I have finally got Jazmin to agree to allow me to bring my ipod and my own speakers. I have to contract stating the resort will not be liable if there is a power surge and it blows up my equipment. I have speakers I use with my ipod around the pool here at my house and they are great. I paid about $60 dollars for them at the surplus electronics store. they retail about $150 the great thing is they are the size of tea cups and powerful. So that is how I have beat the DJ issue.
