Is/has your fiance seen your dress?
SusieQ replied to KJT1985's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Funny!!!!! When i started looking at dresses I found most everything in the wedding books was very formal and I really didn't want the formal wedding dress. I am a second time bride and I have been there done the big dress. At my age I just couldn't pull it off...Just not me. So I had many printed internet pics in a folder and FI seen the folder on the coffee table one evening and went through the pictures, he posted a sticky note on the dress that I actually loved the best. I ended up seeing the note a few days later and I had the dress made my a seamstress. I changed a few details to make is fit better for me. A few weeks ago I get the dress and my Gfriend comes by and I try it on for her. We're in the guestroom and FI came home and knocks on the door and Gfriend answers "yes can we help you? in her smart ass voice. He opened the door and his face was priceless. Not to mention gfriend nearly smashed his face in the door slamming it shut. I don't care.. doesn't bother me!!!! -

But thinking about the look on her face should make you smile a bit ... Ok Raykel!!!! then SusieQ gets the FMIL's parcel and Timberly was probably sending her, her xmas gift and with knowing how she feels about FMIL I wouldn't blame her if she was mailing her a smelly fish. lol -

We have a sitter/nanny that goes and picks up our daughter from school and takes her home to get prepared for a bath and dinner. Well, last night we kind of had it out over the phone and I let her go. She was not doing her job and had the nerve to expect that we would keep her around! Um, I think not. It was really cheap labor, I think she was an illegal alien, but so good with our daughter shhhh, don't turn me in! Because I fired her, I had to hustle and bustle to get way across town to pick her up. On top of that, I went to the post office to mail Susie's package only to find out that I grabbed the wrong box this morning because I was rushing, I had the box for my FI's mother (whom we all know I can't stand) the horrible thing is that I didn't find out I had the wrong box until I had been standing in line for 27 whole minutes!!! What is there an unwritten rule in the US Postal Service code that the workers ALL have to be slow as ? I mean what the don't they think that people have lives, do we just want to stand in line ALL day? OK, enough venting. Oh No!!!! I hope you weren't cussing SusuieQ lol.... Sucks about the nanny hun. I had to do that years ago and it is brutal because then you have to tell the little one as nice as possible. Ahhhh -

I'll show everyone my appreciation with a big juicy kiss and hug, LOL I hear ya doll... it kinda snowballs out of control... You have to do what your good with and nothing more. -

Ok for your entertainment, a monday morning funny from Sue Saturday I go for a pedicure, as you remember I snapped my big toe nail pretty short. So I go to the same place for years and they know me pretty well. Amy is the little Asian chickie that I always have, she looks at my toes and is "oh no what did you do"? she knows my wedding is 2 months away. So I tell her, "I did it in the shower" She responds in broken english "oh bang bang in the shower". Ok you see where this is going!!! I go, "yeah I banged it in the shower"..... well there is oh about 30 customers there and they are all killing themselves laughing as these little chickies are going on about me getting some bang bang on in the shower and breaking my toe nail. Why does polish take so long to dry when you have a red face and high blood pressure? The best I am about to leave when the owner David yells out to me "Susie no more bang bang in the shower, your not married yet". Dear God!!! Good thing i have SENSE OF HUMOR!!! Now I am off to work -

Why am I back to being a noob?
SusieQ replied to Glamourina's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
If I went back to being a Noob, I think that would be the stresser that would put me over the edge. lol -
Welcome and Congrats... You have started planning early which is great because you can take advantage of some very creative minds and get tons of advice.

Brooke I actually have slept prety well the last few nights, I have been trying to do a hot tub before bed, I find it actually helps me relax. I also got something from the health food store that is a natural sleep aide. So I am feeling me again today after few good nights.... I know it is so hard once you start that whole spiral down of not sleeping. Good luck hun.... -

I could have used a pina colada last night when I tackled that job.. It's done and my diningroom looks amazing with this red and green tissue paper sticking out of all these little bags. I thought I posted my the flowers I made a while back. If you need to see them i can post them again. I have to say my FI is very excited about the wedding and the planning and he has helped with pretty much every project and is currently loading up the ipod for our big day. he has choosen all the music and has done a great job. At first he wasn't telling me what song he had picked until I nearly came unglued. Now I feel kinda silly because he has done a great job so far and I love the songs.
