  5. I went with cheaper drawstring bags and we did have the resort name large print and our names a name very small in bottom corner. I went with bright yellow and my guests all love them and used them everyday of our trip.. They loved the colour because you could spot each other a mile away and knew no one that wasn't part of our group would take a chance on picking it up... My List of items that was a total hit! tylenol +10 Aloe vera +10 Tummy Meds +10 Bandaides-+10 Nail polish cloths -+10 ladies Nail Files - +10 Blistick +10 by eveyone (I got a thanks Sue ten times a day because they were spf15) wrinkle release spray- +10 playing cards & poker chips +10 we had card games and good hearted banter going on a couple nights of our trip hand sanitize +7 I seen many people using it snacks peanuts/pepper sticks/ pringos/ pop tarts for kids 10+ water guns - Over the top fun!!!! When our guests were leaving they gave them to kids around the pool and it was so kool to see those kids so excited. gum/breath mint/jelly beans+10 Spanish cheat sheet (basic spanish) +10 Beach balls +5 seen a couple people use them... again little kids loved them when they got them from our guests as they were leaving. waterproof containers - total +10 and then some (everyone used them day and night) Fans for ladies I seen them used at the wedding only wash gloves - ladies loved them Tim Hortons coffee packs - well what can I say it costed a lot I gave one pack to each couple and it was a huge hit!!!!!! Small flavor packs for water bottles - no one said much other than Husband's aunt she keep asking people if the had anymore green tea ones... I think she got everyone that I bought. Sunscreen.... I did not see anyone using it at all and seen it sitting in most peoples rooms untouched. I did hear a few people talking about the sewing kits and I guess they needed them at that time... glad I did it. Oh one very big hit Tide packs.. Everyone love them because they got to wash their bathing suits and have them fresh to wear again. Tide sticks - one per couple was great I seen people using them... After bit one per couple - everyone got bites the first couple nights so they were a great hit. I think that covers most everything I can think off at the moment, screen was the only thing I didn't see used. Otherwise I have to say people were extremely grateful for our efforts to make their trip more enjoyable.. I did receive amazing comments and I am so glad I did the bags. Good Luck ladies
  6. Rayanna ask her if you can wear hers... Just tell her I want apart of yours and dads life together with me at the alter and I am sure that will just make her day.

  9. I did alot of thinking yesterday, being home from my wedding/honeymoon and it's all over and the pictures are done and I have looked at them many times over. I am not sure if you gals read the thread about the poor bride that had be married only 6 weeks and found out her husband was being unfaithful? I read her thread and I looked at her pictures and I went "damn she is beautiful and she went down that road of planning her special day, she had her family and friends there and she couldn't have asked for more. She had the whole package and now she has the realization and pain that it all may have been a lie. (I don't care if he new hubby gets online and says she was the she devil to live it) No one deserves to be treated like that... No One!!! I felt like total crap reading her post, because it all should have worked out for them because they are the picture perfect couple!!! We're am I going with this? Let's count our blessing ladies!!!! We are married to men that seen our physcial flaws (in our eyes) and they married us and loves us. We all can look at the pictures and say, "damn I wish I was thinner". Seriously!!!!! We are married/marrying men that found a deeper connection with us other than our dress size and what their friends think... We are blessed ladies!! My heart does go out to the young lady that had her heart ripped out... And I didn't mean anything negitive about using her story as a reference to our situation... Happy weekend!!! Sue
  10. Good luck Chris we love you... enjoy every single moment of your day... dont forget to look around, listen and smell... take it all in "every second of it.... we be waiting to hear every detail...
  11. Mean - ex husband... (sorry I don't often complain)
  12. Ok if I read to the bottom the Lovely Raykel as answered these questions lol

I've been told not to worry about anything till we get there.. so that's what I've been doing so far, but I just feel like im going to get there and be upset that nothing is planned.. I feel like a crazy person right now..lol So, I have a few questions.. What do most people do for the dinner/reception?? I would like a poolside reception, so should I do a dinner at one of the resturants, then just the reception by the pool?? Or do it all by the pool?? And which one is more cost efficiant?? If I do choose to have the dinner at a reasurant, should I book that now?? Do you have to pay per person for that?? From what i've read, you are not allowed to have outside photogragher, but is that the same if the outside photogragher is also your guest?? last question for now.. Do you think a dj is needed, or would an ipod be alright for the reception Sorry for all the questions... lol I there i just had my wedding at the Tulum... we were offered two different restaurants for our wedding dinner the gran Tortoga or the tequila.. We choose the Gran Tortoga because of food varities. The Tequila is right next to the Gazebo and the Gran Tortoga is a 5 minute tram ride away. I loved the Gran Tortoga because we were in a corner tucked away from everyone else. That isn't an option at the Tequila because it is more open layout. Poolside reception is available, however it gets windy there and rain can blow in quickly. We just had a poolside dance reception after dinner it cost an extra $8 per person for two hours. I cheaped out and used an IPod and it worked.. however i found it was a windy night and the sound seemed to just blow away. There was also a very loud show going on at the same time and drown out my music... I would try to rent speakers or the DJ is music and quality is important. Good Luck Sue

Timberly, I know it is impossible to do but try not to worry, once you get there everyone will be SOOOO happy to be out of the crazy weather, it will just make it 10x better! Our resorts are used to weddings, so for them they just set up and take down... We had a fantastic time, it truly was a dream come true. All of our friends and families got along and said how wonderful each other was. It was so special and beautiful and all of the hard work paid off. I have a link to a photo album from our photographer.... Alison and Austin Also, Austin loved the photobook (boudoir).. Everything was so wonderful and I am so excited for you guys to go!! breathe taking and now we get to sit back and watch and enjoy these gals have their day... thank you for sharing
  15. I hear ya gals... my wedding pics are here and all I can see is back fat and fat arms.... why the hell could everyone wear a wedding blanket instead of a dress... I try to look at the reality... I am who I am and he loves me... life could be worst!!!!
  16. Brooke can Timberly and guest drive to Toronto and fly out from here... Oh I feel so bad... Mother nature is one hell of a 8itch!!!!!!
  17. I am home and thank you ladies... My day was a dream... The dream I dreamed!!!!! I couldn't have asked for anything more... I know the stress of planning that special day we sometimes forget the happiness of being a bride and that this is our moment, my advise is to remember it is your moment. From the time you put on that dress until you take it off at night, try to remind yourself to take little seconds to take it all in. While I sat with my girlfriend back in my room waiting for the cart to come get me... I just sat back for a few seconds and made a mental note of how I was feeling. I did that throughout the day and I am so glad i did. it was truely the best day of my life...Thanks Again for all your love support and best wishes

  19. I am back.... it is 1.30am in the morning and i had to get a post off to you ladies.... Those of yo that are away I hope you get to read this before your I Do and those of you that haven't left... Listen to me..please.... don't worry about the details and how they fall into place... they just do.. Don't fret over who isn't there, celebrate who is. That moment when you put your dress on... Start breathing and take in every moment.... suck it all up and feel it!!! I honestly absorbed every second of my wedding. from us walking to alter together, each and every step... Mark holding my arm and telling me "this is babe, we're here". Him holding my hands as we exchanged vows and him rubbing my knuckle as he spoke. I remember the sun on my cheek and hearing the roar of the ocean. I could smell the flowers on the table and i could hear my son's breathing and tears behind me. I never once thought about what was missing... Nothing was missing not one detail.. it was perfect. Just take it all in ladies... celebrate that moment and let go of the things you have no control over... You will not miss someone that let you down or disappointed you. Your dress will be perfect and your flowers.... It will all be perfect. Take little steps and enjoy every single second of your day.... Love you gals... nitey nite.... Sue

I am a little paranoid about letting people know we are not in the room, but at the end of the day how many people are in their room at all during the day.....of course then I read all these posts and it makes me more paranoid again! LOL So I probably won't do the white board! I love the walkie talkie idea and $20 a set is cheap enough.....even if we just get enough for parents and wedding party:) I had gotten some for my nephew a few years ago as a gift and they were bringing them along so they could stay in touch with the kids....maybe will just have to find a few more. Hi ladies, With the main pool their is a bridg that is pretty high and you can scout out where everyone is. we had 23 people and they we're all accounte for every day and we knew where everyone was hanging out. We had bright yellow drawsring bags and we all hung them under the grass umbrella and they stuck out. People wonder around with a drink and find you... You will find that people mostly hang out around the noisey pool and the ones that want the more quiet area find their spots and like it that way. I refused to play the social director for my wedding and people made dinner plans and trip plans and I just stayed out of it. I was really suprized when people that just met on the plane ride down grouped together for different dinners and tours. It was really kool

They worked great. It was so nice because my husband would sleep in every morning and then go for a run on the beach. Where as I was up by 7 and ready to eat breakfast. So it was lovely to just turn on my radio and see if anyone else had theirs on and were eating. Every morning we'd find each other via the radios. It worked out great! I agree with you!!!!!! We had a couple issues here, nothing too bad but however things do happen. I would not recommend the white board.. It basically will give people the knowledge of where you are and how long your gone. It gets very easy to have someone watch you group at the beach or poolside and loot your room while your playing and having fun. We found that word of mouth and our group was together 90% of the time.. No one was left out unless they were looking for alone time. We all had this habit of 3pm swim up bar drinks and discuss everyones dinner plans and then arrange a time to meet at the lobby bar around 7 or 8. It'll be fine no worries
  22. I am married!!!! The internet is super slow here.... I am having trouble posting pics.. there are a few on facebook.
