Any suggestions? Also, what are you girls planning for receptions? I want to keep it simple! I am thinking a nice reception dinner, then just going for drinks at the resort and/or going out afterwards. I would love to hear your thoughts and plans! As for colors, if you want something on the darker side, what do you think about a dark green or a navy? My AHR is on the day of your wedding ) As far as at the resort, we aren't having a formal reception. Probably just go to one of the restaurants either on the resort or walk to one in the community... maybe hang out at the pool. We want to keep it casual since we are having the AHR later. Someone I personally know raves about the resort you've chosen! She went on a trip with a boyfriend and when they were married, he told her to choose anywhere in the world to go and she wanted to go back there!

Far and Away : Style 878 From AllureBridals.com Private Label By G I love the first one since it is a destination wedding, but I do love the mermaid style too! I have tried both on, and I love them both...help! They are both awesome. Have you tried either on?? My dress is Private Label by G and the dress LOOKS expensive but wasn't and the fit is amazing.
  3. Like. That's show is ridiculously hilarious. Makes me feel good about myself, lol. Job interviews?

  5. Never tried. Might like if I could keep stuff alive. miniature golf?
  6. My TA says 10-12 months ahead RESORT prices come out, then 8-10 months ahead for FLIGHTS. As far as colors go, I think we're pretty set on a Marine/Electric/Royal type blue. Something on the darker but still bright side. And also a Lime/Kelley green (again bright!). IDK what I'll do for flowers, probably green orchids w/white lillies and bright blue ribbon. That can all be determined later. I am HOPING to find cute blue dresses, get the girls (2-4 serving) lime parasols. Just realized I have to buy a veil for my AHR at least for the "money dance" cuz I don't want to get poked by pins and my dress is pretty fitted. But they are about $13 with free shipping all over eBay if anyone else is looking.
  7. Dislike... not keen on speeding tickets, haha. You get them "fixed" around here but people will only do you so many favors. Concerts?

Funny, I've heard GREAT things from a friend of mine who was married at Dreams PV... but I've been to PA (stayed at the Catalonia next door twice) so leaned that direction. If I go again after getting married, maybe I'll balls up and head to the Pacific side of Mexico.
  9. Like. Waxing? (getting my hair cut in about 40 minutes, donating 8 inches, aah!)
  10. Like, but not my fav. Getting a haircut?
  11. Congrats Mylene! So exciting. Can't wait to see your "unique" photos, and a hospital visit? I'm sure there's a good story/review brewing.

You can pay people there to be witnesses if it's a must. For symbolic the bride/groom can just get there whenever before.
  13. I am sorry for whatever has made you second guess getting married. I hope that whatever has come between the two of you can be worked out. Follow your heart and do what you know is best. Sounds like it can only get better, try to stay optimistic. Good luck.
  14. Welcome to the destination wedding world! We all feel your pain and totally understand. There comes a point when you cannot please everyone. Do what you and your FI want! Honestly, FI's immediate family has been completely UNsupportive. Especially his mother, she's a control freak and we are just out of control, lol. I will be SHOCKED if any of FI's immediate family attends besides his father. We will wait and see. I live in Louisiana and I know hurricanes, you do not want to worry about that at the time of your wedding. All of your reasons for wanting November sound perfect. FI's mother is a school teacher, we tried to choose a spring break date so she doesn't have to miss school like your FSIL, well guess what... now that we have a deposit on our date... the school board changed Spring Break to the week after Easter. We are not going to change it for her. It's what we want. Do what you want. Do not feel selfish or bad about it. This is your wedding and you deserve to do it your way. You want to look back and know you had exactly what you wanted.

There is not pricing yet, but I have a deposit/contract with Dreams Puerto Aventuras for April 21, 2011 at 5:00 pm. It was $100 to reserve my date and I did it all through the WC there (e-mail). That money can go towards your wedding expenses there later on. I'm a crazy person that wanted to be sure my date was mine ASAP. haha.
