Never tried to view a profile before, so I'm not too much help. Sorry! There are forums called Like or Dislike, movie game, and Pops in Your Head that may help you reach those posts sooner. Good luck

  4. Yay Mylene, thanks so much for the pics! I'll def look you up on FB to see more pictures. And you both look great, even with your husband's booboos on his face.

There are multiple threads on this forum addressing how long it actually takes for people. Maybe you can find a review from a bride who did each at your resort and get their personal opinion on the situation. I have just heard through this forum that legally getting married in Mexico is a LOT of extra work and money, but all who do it say they found it worth it. It's all personal preference really. I broke everything down to FI, explained the price difference, and he is on board with "legal day" here first. We want as little headache as possible.

  7. Gorgeous! Congrats on finally having it. ) It looks great on you.
  8. Congrats on the engagement and welcome!! You hit the jackpot by finding his forum. If you haven't already, you should subscribe to the Dreams Cancun thread. There are also some great reviews with tons of info and pics from weddings there. Good luck and happy planning!

You have to pay a retainer to (some of?) them just because they can do all this work for you and if you do not book through them, they can keep it for their services. If you DO book through them, you get the money back. But they handle all the bookings for you and you pay them, in turn they pay the airlines, resort, etc. Hope that helps!

Is this correct info or outdated? I do not know how i would get 4 witnesses to come down early with me. You have to be there 4 full days before if you are legally marrying in Mexico. So your travel day will not count. The 4 witnesses there that long is also true. If you do not have any, typically your resort will "provide" them for you, but it will cost you a pretty penny. There is a lot of extra things with translation and legalizing paperwork because it is international. FI and I have decided to get married at the courthouse here before we leave and not tell anyone. I can get everything filed in the states before we leave so that once we return home, it will be processed and I can take care of changing my name. This will save us a LOT of time and money. No one will know the difference in our wedding ceremony.

Did you fill out all of the info? I heard back within a week from TA Jill. If your date is in January of 2011, it is not too early to get with a TA. I have a retainer for Jill to book my wedding and it isn't until April 2011. The TA's on this site only handle 2-3 weddings per month, so I would try again or get her direct e-mail address from someone. There is a thread about the Wright Travel Agency that they all work through, maybe you chould check on there. Good luck! And it's never too early to get a good TA on your side.

Or you can use the actual web address where you have them uploaded and you type [.IMG.]http://blah blah[/.IMG.] remove the . out of those, no spaces or anything, just trying to get it to post without thinking that I am adding an image

I've come to the conclusion that they can kiss it. Their idea is to bring FI and myself down in hopes that we will change our minds, too bad, so sad. Our wedding, our way.
