  4. I'm going to rave on Shutterfly. Their prices are awesome, they run deals all the time, and everything I've printed there is awesome. They seem to have a lot of options for page layouts, backgrounds, etc. I make a calendar for each of my parents for Christmas every year and they come out great. I'll probably use Shutterfly (mPix costs a lot more).
  5. Isn't that a duck? If yes, LIKE. I like ducks okay. Rabbits? (so a ragdoll cat is basically a super lazy cat? haha, cute!)

If I decide I want an arch, it would be waaaay better cost-wise to pack that and some fabric to hang on it in a suitcase, PAY for the suitcase, and bring it all back home. If it ends up being something I have to have, that's what we will do. )
  12. It is GORGEOUS!!! Will totally be worth it. Looks awesome. So exciting!!! Not looking forward to turning mine over to a seamstress ( But it is too long and I want like 1/2 of my train cut off.

When we met with Sandra to go over wedding details she did all the calculations in pesos. You don't have to pay at that point, you just have to pay at some point before your wedding. Before we paid, DH and I went back to our room with our list of charges and we made sure to convert pesos to dollars to make sure we weren't getting overcharged for anything. You already have another bride on the same day for 2011? Wow...don't let it stress you, there was another wedding on my day and I didn't really notice!! Thanks for the peace of mind! My mom just keeps saying "those Mexicans just want our money!" It's a joke, she's isn't racist, just being funny. I remind her the wedding ceremony package will be "complimentary" so of course we would get charged for chairs. Just to get the little arch thing with "basic decorations" for the beach ceremony would be about $700. I am opting for no arch because I can't get my head around that. I have no idea how someone else would already have the same date as me. I replied to her email and made sure to write 2011 like that to be sure she got my year right!! HAHA.
  14. Just for future reference, my sister is a photographer and prints everything through mpix.com including photo books. They always come out nice! Cousin made one as her guestbook (black pages all yearbook style) and had everyone sign with metallic sharpies. It was very unique!
  15. Stuff I was happy to have: *baby powder (chaffing, not just me, but especially FI in his swim trunks all the time) this can be used like chalk on a dress also! *cute hats, the sun can burn your scalp and too many times it itches, then peels about a week or two later, it's so gross *chargers: cell phone, iPod, and most importantly camera battery *waterproof camera case *those hang on the door makeup/bathroom stuff folds up to pack bags, counter was small and FI took it over *an empty trash bag (put all dirty clothes in it for trip home) *the nail polish I had on my toes, the beach can be unforgiving Stuff I wish I had: *an extension cord, sometimes only one plug is by the mirrors and I had my own blow dryer & flat iron *alarm clock (thank goodness for cell phones, we couldn't call out from them, but the alarm saved us) *those little packets in medicine bottles that keep moisture out, they would have kept my underwater camera case from fogging up *iPod dock, the one English channel on TV wasn't that run to get ready to like music would be (wedding hotel has them already, yay) Stuff I could have done without: *so many bras, I lived in swimsuits *why did I bring a pair of jeans?! *too many shoes, old pair of tennis shoes, 1 pair of cute/dressy flip flops, and 2 cheap pairs of flip flops was plenty *wouldn't bring OFF, never needed it when we went both times, guess it depends on where you are but in Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Tulum, Xel-Ha, horseback riding, and Coba ruins never got bit *won't bring steamer for dress, will just hang in BR while showering to get wrinkles out
