I wanted to start this thread, bc I was part of the 2011 bride thread, however my wedding had to be bumped to January 2012 due to family having issues with our date.....Im sure there are more of you out there just like me and I know how maddening it was to know my wedding wasnt going to be until 2011 and now thats its been moved its even worse! Will my time ever come....lol I have competed a few DIY projects already and am trying to not buy anything right now bc Im afraid I might change my mind in a years time when its really time to get one this wedding soooo....Im checking the BDW forums to keep up with what is going on and keeping my eyes open for deals and picking the brains of fellow BDW's to make try and make this a success and maybe avoid some of the mishaps some of the ladies have gone thru on here. Wow Im gone for a week and I can barely get up to speed on everything..... Welcome Jessi....Im sure you will bea ble to find whatever you need on this forum...I know I wouldnt be where I am without it. Does anyone have a DIY STD layout or template they wouldnt mind sharing I cant see to find one that I like and that isnt too difficult...ugh! Anyone do the Cameo and Cufflinks sale....I missed it ??

So I am trying to figure out if I am justified in feeling how I am bc I know I will be walking into an arguement when I get home tonight.....I need to vent to you ladies and gentlemen to see if I have a right to as upset as I am. So heres the scoop..... Yesterday afternoon Riley stayed after work in Calgary to meet up with a freind of ours to pick up some supplies for our renos in the basement. He said that they would have a couple of drinks together, he would then go to home depot to pick up another box of our flooring and be home. Throughout the course of the night I spoke with him a couple of times bc it was getting later in the night. At 8:30pm I suggested that he just stay at his friends house as he already had a few drinks and we were over an hour drive away. He said he was fine and that he would be home around 10:00pm. At 9:30 he called me again to say that he was not in any shape to drive home. I was like "what, your still there? What happened to being home by 10:00?" and he said that he stopped drinking an hour and half ago, but bc he hadnt eaten really it hit him when he got up. So he was calling to make sure it was okay to stay at his friends house for the night. So up to this point Im not mad or upset bc he doesnt see his friend very often bc we live so far out of town. A little irresponsible, but not too bad. This is where I get pissed off. So I know that Riley is drunk, which guarentees his friend is smashed too - bc the guy is an alcoholic almost. So I ask Riley how they are going to get home and he says that he is going to leave his truck there and going to ride to his friends house in his friends work van. And I was like - uh no your not...your both drunk, take a cab. If he wants to drive home drunk, fine, nothing I can do about that, but you can take a cab! And we kept going back and forth on this bc of course hes drunk and keeps bringing up all mushy crap that he loves me and he doesnt want me to be mad that hes not coming home to sleep with me and all this other crap. I told him I dont care that he isnt coming home, and am okay with him going to the friends house to sleep. HOwever we are stuck on this cab thing....I told him I would pay for it if he was going to be a cheap bugger. In the end when I asked him for the last time to clarify what he was doing, he said going home with his friend in his van......that is where I said good night and hung up on him. I was so mad I was almost crying! The only reason I was mad was bc he was being an ass and making stupid decision he wouldnt normally make if he wasnt drunk to ride home with the friend that is also drunk. The friend who just got charged last year with a DUI (2nd one in his life), the guy who just paid off his lawyers fees to take care of his court date this july and worked all this overtime and had no life for a while to pay for. Yet that friend again gets behind the wheel drunk!!! So not only is Riley in jeopardy, but so is everyone else on the road. And bc he doesnt want to pay a cab and also bc he doesnt want to look like an ass in front of his friend, he is going to get into a car, drunk, with another drunk to frive 10 mins down the road. Now that may not seem like a far way to go, but most accidents happen close to home and ANYTHING could happen here. So Im pissed bc he has a jackass friend, that he is a jackass for doing such a stupid thing and bc that decision he made last night to get in that van, didnt just affect him; that decision he made could have just changed my life too. It could have left me single, or made me choose to be single bc he was put in jail or whatever.....I know he is probably fine and they are both nursing a hang over...but that isnt the point. Oh I am so pissed I could scream! I still havent heard from him and its now almost 10 am my time on friday morning, and I am assuming he called into work and said he wasnt coming in. So he is probably still sleeping on his buddy's couch waiting for his friend to get up so that he can drive Riley back to his truck. I dont even know how to approach this when I get home....I dont want to be a major bitch...but I also dont want him to think its okay either. I commend him on making the right decision not to drive home last night...that was good....but that was it! Oh please help me my fellow BDW's....am I wrong to be mad

LIPSTICK AND LACE: Ok so I spoke with Carla At Lipstick and Lace and I know many of you are trying to plan a session to bring down the costs. I wish I could do it now too but Im not ready, but I thought you guys might want so more info. I got the breakdown of some of her packages and wanted to share: The first package I requested info on was for her 8x10 album, which comes with 30 photos, retouched of course, and includes the session fee and comes to $835.00. She refers to Astrid Woodard for hair and makeup and she charges $150.00 plus gst. The second package is for the 10x10 album, which comes with 20 pictures, and includes the session fee for $1071.00 plus tax. Both packages are available on her password protected gallery and she gives you 100-180 images to choose from. There is a deposit of $150.00 which will be put towards your package when you arrive. Pictures are usually ready within a few days to a week depending onhow busy she is. Once the pcitures have been chosen, it will take approx 2 -3 weeks to get your final album. To purchase your photos on DVD is $300.00, however I am not interested in this option and Carla does not recommend it either. PURE FORM SALON - Liberty is the photgrapher and they do this out of their salon in DT calgary. The only info I have so far is that they have a session fee of $195.00 which covers your 2 hour session. You will receive 75-100 images on a proof sheet that are touched up to choose from. I am waiting for liberty to call me back about costs for DVD's and books. Will update when I hear from her. As for makeup and hair - well ther is no set fee - its all dependant on the stylist you get - so thats a no go for me. If I go with liberty, I will be getting my hair and makeup done somwhere I can get a flat fee. Her website is : Pure-Form Salon and Studio - Home Hope this helps some of you out!!!

So I just emailed another BD company and will give you gals the info when I get it. As for TAIT and Sarah Pukin...I loved the pics Sarah did of Tanya however I want a 10x10 book and I want all of my pics retouched. So to pay $400 for a CD and then have to make a book on my own....well I just dont see myself having the time or enegery to do that. I saw Timberly's book (Vdaybride) and it took her a really long time to get it together and a lot of work too...I dont know if I want to do that. If I go with Tait in total I would spend $700 to have my session with 20 pics and a 10x10 book. I dont know yet what Sarah charges for a 10x10 book, so I will email her too to find out more and see if she is more reasonable then TAIT. Lots of different people to choose from...hopefully we all can narrow this down and soon. Good luck ladies... Oh and Tanya...your photos were fab!!

My Dearest Sparkles, My heart goes out to you....so disheartening to hear this. Speaking from experience, I feel your pain as does a lot of other women on this forum. Many of us have been cheated on before and it still stings to this day. Trust is a huge issue in marriages....and if you dont have that...well you really need to re-evaluate your situation. I would def confront him and make him put everything on the table. I dont know if requesting his passwords is the right thing to do, bc if he really wants to continue this affair, he will make sure he communicates with her regardless of what passwords you have...he will find another way. What I would suggest is a "key stroke" program. If you are looking to really find out the truth, and I wouldnt suggest this unless you are sure you can live with what you might find out, you need to purchase this software and install it on your computer. If you dont know how to do it, find someone that will and it will basically record everything he types on his computer. That way you dont have to check emails and worry about passwords. You can check the program whenever you want. Its a sneaky way of doing it, but it would be the only sure fire way to know that he isnt persuing this when you have asked him to no longer have contact with her. By asking for passwords for his accounts, well, he will just find another way to talk to her if that is what he wants to do. This way you can monitor that. It will show you his passwords as well as what files he goes into. I have never done this myself, but my girlfriend did when she too thought her husband was cheating and he kept lying to her. However you need to be ready to deal with whatever you find out a head of time prior to doing this, otherwise this may put you in a tail spin. I really hope this isnt what is going on for you and so new into your marriage, but just remember its never okay for him to have a relationship with another woman when you have asked him not too. Regardless if he thinks its stupid that you feel threatened by her or their relationship, if he loves you he will respect how you feel and not want you to feel that way and stop the relationship - whatever it is. Always go with your gut, bc its rarely wrong...womens intuition is usually right to some degree. Regardless of what you do, be strong and I am thinking of you.....let us know how you are doing and making out....Just remember that so many other women have gone thru or are going thru what you are right this second, so your not alone....we are all right along with you.....and we will help you thru it too..... I spoke to the owner and photographer of TAIT at the wedding fair this past weekend and she seems great. I'm not going with her for my wedding photo bc my mother in law is a photog, but I will be using TAIT for the BD pics. The sitting fee is $150 plus $80 for hair and makeup...they now have a studio and no longer need to use hotel rooms. You can get a large BD book (not exactly sure of the size, but it kinda looked like 10x10 and it costs $550.00 and it consists of 20 pics. You can also get a mini book - which I felt was too small, and it was much cheaper...cant remember how much exactly...oops! but it seemed like a better value for the bigger book. ALl the shots were fabulous from what I saw and everything is touched up. I am def going the touch up route, bc I saw the before and afters and it makes a HUGE difference. Im a size 12 right now and there is no way Im going without the touch ups. LOL THe wedding fair wasnt a huge sucess as we all noted but I still had a good time and enjoyed the fashion show. Some of those dressed just made me laugh...bc I could never imagine any bride wanting to wear some of those dresses, but Im sure there are some out there that would.... The travel agents at Uniglobe and romantic travel were fabulous. Will definitely be booking with one of these TA's. So much info and so much help and I was only with them for like 10 mins. If you were looking to have an AHR, this was def the place to be this weekend. Def not the bride just looking into a DW unless of course your just going for the atmosphere...none the less, I had a good time and walked out of there with a very pink heavy bride bag....lol

Oh really? Hmmm I was kind of looking forward to going to the wedding Fair this weekend. FML - Aww....yes that makes me feel better, but also bad for you bc your joining my 2012 group.....lol We should make a 2012 brides thread....lol - but stay with the 2011 brides as well, bc I do feel as though Im still a part of this thread, regardless of our change of plans.
