Never heard of it, the only one close to that I know of is Eldorado Royale.... Will have to see what I can find on it. I do have a question for you though....I have been reading trip advisor again and the most recent posts on there are not great...make that alot of the pages arent great. Talking about food poisoning and bad rooms and too far to walk and that the food wasnt that great.....too many to list.....did you notice or have any of these issues?? Knowing what you experienced now with your wedding, would you do it all over again at the same hotel or would you do things different I am just starting to play around with the idea of moving my wedding bc of the trip advisor notes. I know that the good usually out weighs the bad and some times there is no pleasing some people...but there are a lot of not so good reveiws that have recently been posted.... Thanks!

  3. Thanks for posting this....if all else fails I will get Rebecca to do mine...but its worth a try to do on my own.
  4. Has anyone stayed there for their wedding and honeymoon?? The reason I ask is bc we were planning on going to The Eldorado Royale for our Honeymoon, but Im afraid of prices and I havent even found out yet. I have never stayed at the same resort for more hten 7 days at a time and Im wondering if it would get boring and whether or not we should change. Even if it doesnt end up being the honeymoon resort we want - we could pick another one if that makes more sense then staying at Sandos. Any input would help :0 Oh and does anyone know of a cottage or something along those lines that you can rent that is on the beach? Maybe do that instead of a resort for the honeymoon....hmmm... THanks!!!
  5. We were booked at Sandos Playacar Beach Resot and Spa and our guests were to pay $1800 per person......A little better then the $2000 everyone has been quoted on here - but we have people coming from all over Canada and some from the Detroit area Welcome!!!
  6. Welcome everyone! So gald I started this thread bc I thought myself and one other bride I know were the only ones! So hard to be looking at a 2012 calendar...however we do have a lot of time to plan and get a lot of great advice from the other ladies and gentlemen on here. J88 - Where are you planning on going? Mexico, Jamaica? The resort I picked is in Playa Del Carmen and it is very family freindly, but I used to work in Mexico with a tour company and I know of a few resorts I would reccomend if your thinking the Mexico route.....let me know Congrats to all the newly engaged....I will be joining that group very shortly ......
  7. The DYI's look fabulous Suzy...you did a great job! Would you like a job?? lol

Im sorry you have been so stressed lately - it sounds like on thing after another for you...I really hope things get better for you and all you receive is good news from now to your wedding!! On the bright side it sound like you have a great TA working for you, thank goodness for that! Who are you using BTW? Good luck with this and thanks for posting the review of Signature!

I am actually dying to go to Kleinfelds and was thinking of doing it in June anyway but maybe I am cutting the whole November wedding too close, cause if I get it in June to get it by end of October is 4.5ish months Boo, Betty at Ethos is sooo great! I bought my wedding dress from her back in 1999 and I just bought my 2nd wedding dress with her this past october. You will love her! She is sooo sweet and is just like another mom, but in a good way! Good luck!
  12. Thanks ladies...I have bought from other brides on here since then and haven't had a problem, so dont be afriad to purchase from people on here. I would just make sure you look at their status and possibly stay away from someone who still has "noob" status. Now that doesnt mean it cant happen from anyone else...but atleast you know they are somewhat of a veteran on here. It was an unfortunate experience for all of the ladies involved in this, however we have learned from it and in the end, hopefully put the word out there to be cautious and ask all the right questions prior to purchasing. Thanks again for all your support throughout all of this and your words of wisdom. Im sure many brides will learn from our mistakes!
  13. LX - love the black one - all the pics look fabulous!!! He is gonna L-O-V-E it!
  14. Jackobelle - I bought my MOH a completely different bag from the rest of the oot bags, but I actually plan on giving her two bags. The regular OOT bag as she is coming with her hubby and two kids, along with my bag just for her. I actually got my bag from Biotherm in the Bay and its this almost metallicy blue on light blue colour...I dont really know how to explain it to make it sound nice, but it looks really sharp and it doesnt have a huge label on it saying biotherm. It has a tiny label attached at one of the seams. Its a great looking bag that she could use for the gym later on if she wanted to. Alexsbride - great finds at dollarama btw! I will have to go look for the bath puffs when Im in the area next time. Anyone looking for wet bikini bags for a really good price? I bought these pink wet bikini bags from AVON of all places for $3.99 each. Amazing price and they are really cute. It was just in this last catalogue so I know they are still available. If anyone doesnt have an avon rep and wants some, let me know and I can let my patient know and order them for you. I can email you a pic of them as well if you are interested. They are a light pink bag with a ligth brown bikini on them, with a drawstring closeure and bobble. Completely water proof. I put a soaking wet bathing suit in there to see how it would hold up and it worked famously! Just thought I would let you all know as the only ones I could find were from the states and were anywhere from $9.99 to 19.99 US not including shipping! Have a great day ladies!
  15. Kris - lol - love the pic with the O. mittens....what a great idea! That will def be a keeper! Cara- Im so sorry to hear about your loss....my thoughts are with you and your family. Nadine - love your new pic - no kidding about those arms...I need to get those arms...you could break a walnut with those muscles...high five! This Calgary forum is definitely hitting some hard knocks right now...I really hope both of you are doing okay....keep your chin up both of you. We are all thinking about you! I know this is kind of far from Calgary, but does anyone know or is going to the wedding fair in Olds this weekend? I just heard about it and I wasnt sure what it was all about or even worth going to? on a side note: I wanted to let you all know that I did an at home lingerie party a couple of months ago, and the prices were fantastic, way cheaper then la vie en rose, la senza or V. Secret. I was doing this bc I was having a hard time finding some outfits for my BD shoot that didnt cost me a fortune. So I booked with a girl from Calgary name Tamara and she is with Undercover Wear. If anyone is interested let me know and I can get you her info. She was really great and I got a ton of great outfits for half of the price it would have cost me from the stores. Just wanted to let you know. Plus it makes for a fun night with the girls too. Have to jet...going to go and pick up our new travel trailer!!!! YAY so excited...I want to go camping this weekend.....I really must get to work on my impulse control...lol Have a good day ladies!

Well, that's the very short version of it all- but we are no longer together anymore. Mel- as for your dress, I would get re-measured, but I ordered from Parisian (same builiding as Cameo), and I am a street size 4. My dress (which oddly came in the same day my FI broke off our life together) was a 10. That is the same size as the sample, and it was even tight on me. Wedding gowns are not usually indicicative of your street size. Still, an 8 sounds stupid. Depending on the designer, sizes are super weird. Mine by the way was a Pronovias. Dress for sale! HA. I try to be funny when I am hurting. Anyways. Good luck to you all. Oh Christina, my heart is breaking for you I can't even imagine what you might be going thru right now. I know everything seems horrible right now and all you want to do is stay in bed and cry possbily, but I think things always happen for a reason. It sucks to say that, but this might have been a good thing from what your FI had said. It would have been nice that he thought of this prior to proposing to you, and definitely long before you being 3 months away from your wedding! But on the better side of this whole debacle, atleast you found out before, and not after your beautiful wedding. I have read some threads on here from brides who are having problems and big ones right after their wedding...atleast you dont have to go thru that. I know it sucks and this porbably isnt helping at all right now, but down the road you will see, that it is better now then after. So.... your going to stand tall and be strong bc you cant allow what he did to bring you down, keep you chin up and allow those who want to support you - do so, and after sometime the fire will go out and it wont hurt as much. I really hope you have the support you need outside of this forum, but if you dont, you dont have to look very far to get it from the ladies on here. We will all be thinking about you and hope that you are okay?! I thought when my exhusband and my relationship of 10 yrs was over, it was the end of the world, and it definitely felt that way initially and for some time, but eventually, I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I felt so empowered. My life is soooo much better now and I always thought I knew what love was.....well I had no freaking clue....that was until I met RIley and now I know how a relationship is supposed to be like. You will find the person you want to be with and the person that wants to be married to you soon enough....he just wasnt it. And unfortunately your FI will probably realize the mistake he made when it is much too late. It is scary getting back out there after 10 yrs as things have changed....let me tell you....but it doesnt take long to figure things out again and boy is it a lot of fun, when your ready. Second time around is a charm they say! When your ready, enjoy the freedom that you once again have, enjoy you - always take care of yourself, and when you least expect it, Mr. Right will be right around the corner waiting for you. PLease keep us aprised of how you are making out....I really do hope you will be okay....I know you arent right now and thats totally okay and understandable....but you arent alone that is for sure. Take care of yourself!!! Catch the hugs!
  17. They are totally amazing Timberly!!! You looked so beautiful and your daughter was so cute! I loved your flowers, table settings, huppah...I could go on and on....what a fabulous day!!! Congratulations! You must be so happy with how things turned out!
  18. All I have to say is that he is going to have an uproar with all the women watching this show if he picks Vienna.....oh he better pick tenley....I just dont get a good feeling from vienna. As for Ali, I really hope she isnt the next bachelorette bc she had her chance and made a her decision regardless if she was right or wrong....give the chance to someone else.... Can't wait to see the finale!
