Up until then we hadn't even talked about getting married. Once we saw the price for the wedding packages, it was basically decided. Wedding Date: early July 2010. We recently contacted the WC, so we're hoping to book a date pretty soon! What made you choose this date? I'm working on my PhD and July is probably one of my least busy months. Have you decided on your wedding colors? If so, what are they? Different shades of blue, brown and orange. What is something unique about your wedding? No one in my family has ever dreamed of having a destination wedding, so we'll be the first! Tell us anything else about yourself and/or your wedding: I moved to Minnesota from the east coast 3 years ago and already have the typical Minnesotan accent!

I was considering using a Bose system as well, but we'll have a few more people, probably 20-25. Do you think yours was loud enough for everyone to hear while dancing?

I attended my brother's wedding a few weekends ago. I caught the bouquet after my new sister-in-law threw it in my direction and all of the other ladies took a step back. For the garter toss, my brothers were worried that one of their friends would have to touch my leg, so they literally threw my boyfriend (now fiance!) at the garter. They still claim that it wasn't rigged at all! The following Wednesday morning, I got up and let the dog out as usual. I saw a note on the front porch with a trowel next to it that said "Go check your garden. You'll need this." I walked back inside because I had to think about what that note meant and what was in my garden. I was still pretty sleepy! So I went about my usual morning routine, and about 1/2 an hour later decided to go check it out. There was a rose sticking out of my flower garden (I don't own any rose bushes) so I went over and pulled it out of the ground. A container was attached. Inside there was a note that said "Marry me?" and a beautiful ring! It was a good thing I didn't wait any longer to go check it out, it started pouring soon after! But overall, it was a great week! First my big brother got married to an awesome girl, I passed my preliminary exams for my PhD, and got engaged! All within 4 days!
