  1. ok here's mine: Welcome to family and friends: We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to cherish the words which shall unite Robin and Lindsay in marriage. Opening: Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that – through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, and to let go of the rest. What this ceremony can do is to witness and affirm the choice you make to stand together as lifemates and partners. Vows: Robin and Lindsay, I remind you that marriage is a precious gift; a lifelong dedication to love and a daily challenge to love one another more fully and more freely. If you now freely choose to be joined in marriage, please indicate this by facing each other and joining hands. (pause while they do so) Please repeat after me the vows that you have chosen to express your deep commitment to one another: I, Robin, take you, Lindsay, to be my wife. In this moment I promise before these witnesses to love you and care for you all of our days. I accept you with your faults and your strengths, even as I offer myself with my faults and strengths. I promise to support you when you need support and to turn to you when I need support. I choose you as the one with whom I will spend my life. I, Lindsay, take you, Robin, to be my husband. In this moment I promise before these witnesses to love you and care for you all of our days. I accept you with your faults and your strengths, even as I offer myself with my faults and strengths. I promise to support you when you need support and to turn to you when I need support. I choose you as the one with whom I will spend my life. Rings: Lindsay and Robin have chosen rings as outward symbols of the commitment they make today. The wedding ring is a symbol of unity, a circle unbroken, without beginning or end. And today Robin and Lindsay give and receive these rings as demonstrations of their vows to make their lives one, to work at all times to create a life that is whole and unbroken, and to love each other without end. These rings mark the beginning of a long journey together, wear them proudly, as they are symbols which speak of love that you have for each other. Robin, take the ring and as you place it on Lindsay's finger, please state your pledge to her repeating these words: "I begin my life with you today knowing that we have developed a trust and commitment that is strong enough to last through good times and bad. With this ring, I offer you my hand, my heart, and my soul as I know they will be safe with you." Lindsay, take the ring and as you place it on Robin's finger, please state your pledge to him repeating these words: "I begin my life with you today knowing that we have developed a trust and commitment that is strong enough to last through good times and bad. With this ring, I offer you my hand, my heart, and my soul as I know they will be safe with you." The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Robin, please place the engagement ring on Lindsay’s finger over her wedding band to symbolize that the love that brought you together will always protect and sustain your marriage. Unity Sand Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand, one representing you Robin and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Lindsay and all that you were and all that you are, and all that you will ever be. Robin, pour some of your sand which will represent you as an individual. Lindsay, pour some of your sand which will represent you as an individual. To symbolize this union and the importance of the individuals within the marriage, two separate colors of sand will be combined. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create and entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Please pour the sand into this common container to symbolize the union of your two lives. Robin and Lindsay, just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one life, and one family. Closing: May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries. And may you live the days of your lives in peace, love, and happiness. Pronouncement: Robin and Lindsay, having witnessed your vows for marriage with all who are assembled here, and by the authority vested in me, I announce with great joy that you are husband and wife. Kiss: You may seal your vows with a kiss. Presentation: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to present to you, for the first time as husband and wife: Mr. and Mrs. Robin XXX.
