  1. Wow... Congrats Amanda!!! Don't stress and enjoy every moment because it flies by! I found myself taking a few extra breathes on my wedding day and looking around to take it all in, I think that is VERY important! Happy Planning! Let me know if you have further questions! ~ Erica

We also are using Ivan Luckie so I'm happy to hear that he was pleasant. We didn't have a private reception but we did have to pay for extra chairs and we just paid cash so we didn't have to pay the fee. Hope that helps!!! Good Luck on your wedding!!! You are going to have an excellent time! Please tell Elena that I said hello!!! ~ Erica

Of the pictures I have seen so far you all were soooo beautiful! I don't really have any yet but I'll try to attach one to my signature. It was a great two weeks and such an awesome wedding. I can't wait to see my professional photos... I am so excited! but a little reluctant too because it's the last aspect of my wedding before everything is officially over. I was listening to our reception music on the plane and had a little cry, lol I have been finding it tough since the 18th... a year of planning with such a quick ending! but definitely an awesome one. I'll make a review tomorrow and post the link. I think it will be easier to get on with my new life now that I can't walk past the beach where I got married every day and choke up, haha *I am such a loser... (Oh and I like the idea of whoever gets preggers first starts the thread... I think we got off to a good start last week haha TMI!!) Congrats Chris!!!! yayyy!!! You're married... join the club! I think I can speak for all of us that we are still giddy and loving being a WIFE!!!! My hubby commented he is very happy to have me back and not to have me buried in wedding projects! Although, he has no idea I've already became a member of BabyCenter | Homepage - Pregnancy, Baby, Toddler, Kids and that means I am now planning my fertility symptoms/options and such. We started TTC (trying to conceive) Feb. 1st and let me tell you, it's been a blast!!! I won't fill you in on the details but I never knew trying to make a baby could be so adventurous! Hee-hee!!! But don't worry I won't get my hopes up right away because I've been told it could take 6 months - 1 year to get prego. Also, I don't want to stress out too much because that can take a toll on your body as well. Well... take care lovely Feb. brides! It's March now!!! Awww... I really like February (sniff-sniff) ~ Erica

I agree!! We got married there 2 weeks ago and Elena was nothing but wonderful as we arrived there. She was always check in with us and she does focus on brides that are close to their dates! Just be patient... I know it's hard but she will do an excellent job for you! Mischaka - You will be very pleased with the CAT!!! It is affordable, beautiful and the staff are tremendous. We felt like royalty every moment!!! Happy Planning! joesietoms - I was urged not to use the hotel photographer because he was not very good. I booked with Ivan Luckie. Search his name in the search bar and you will find some reviews on him. He was great! Claire - I talked to a few of your family members... I was trying to get in touch with you before we left. I hope you wedding was a success. Can't wait to see pics! *hugs* ~ Erica
  6. Dear FEBRUARY BRIDES... CONGRATS to all of you!!! What a fun time we had in Mexico! We had no issues at all! It was easy, fun and our guests had the times of their lives. Even my 85 grandmother can't stop talking about it. I love being a wife and my new hubby is the sweetest man around. He calls me "Wifey" and I LOVE that.... I wish the best to all of you and can't thank you all enough for all the help over the past year! One question... when is the babymaking thread going to be made? I was trying to remember who was going to start it. lol *hugs* ~ Erica
  7. Hello girls! Sorry it's been so long since I've been on. We just flew back to China yesterday so I have some time to post a few pics! Hope these links work! I will post more later! *hugs* ~ Erica
  8. Hello girls! We made it back to the USA late Tuesday night. Yesterday we had our legal ceremony and it was so nice. My "hubby's" brother, his wife and my grandmother were our witnesses. Since my grandma can't make it to Mexico she was honored to be there for us as we exchanged vows. There are only 3 people that know and it's fun keeping the secret! hee-hee! It feels great to be a Mrs. and I'm so giddy that I was up at 4am this morning and started putting together my OOT bags. I will post pics when I'm done! We leave in 3 days. Yayyyyy!!! Brooke - you look amazing! I am also jealous of your tiny waist! Susie - Congrats on your wedding! You are glowing in your picture and I love the way your dress turned out! I would love to check out your other pics on FB but I don't have your full name. Maybe I missed out on a earlier post? Good Luck to the brides that are getting their last minute details done for the BIG DAY!!! * HUGS * ~ Erica

  10. Yayyyy Susie! How's the weather!?!?!?!?!? I'm up early on a SATURDAY because I had a terrible nightmare that my groom's front tooth fell out. He went to get it fixed and when I turned around to look at him, he was my ex ex boyfriend!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Wake up - Wake up ERICA!!!! So I woke up and snuggled with my real groom. Phewww... scary shit! LOL I already had my "bachelorette" party a month ago. Had 14 girls show up and had 16 shots, 2 beers and many mixed drinks. Someone was watching out for me because I did not get sick! I finished my scavenger hunt and had such a great time! We hit Taco Bell at 2am and luckily my sweet pregnant friend drove us around. She was a trooper! Well, it's Saturday morning and I have to work today! Aughhh!!! TTYL ~ Erica

Even my mother who is against "fake" flowers was very surprised at how real they look. They are heavy like real flowers, there are "flaws" in some petals made to look real. The only thing I didn't like were the freesia's... they didn't look as real because they are not real touch. They are silk. Get them, you will be so glad you did! Sharon is amazing to deal with, she is great at responding and keeping you informed and can do whatever you need her to do! My BM's were ecstatic when they saw the flowers! I was soooo happy! Good Luck! ~ Erica

Then she took us on a walk to the Gazebo and explained everthing step by step. I had tears in my eyes I was so happy and excited. My brother made it here... I have put him to bed for a few hours. He was like a six year old on chocolate when he arrived. He hadn't slept in 48 hours so totally wired and two sheets to the wind. Going for dinner soon.... Ladies I quickly read your post... Please stop worrying ladies... It'll come and be great. Those people that are letting you down and pissing you off... really don't matter at all..... Those we have lost along the way for other reasons like people we truely love and know would have been over joyed to be here for that special day... They will be in someway... You'll feel their enegry and love.... I 'll talk to you later lovely ladies. Wow... Susie! I can't believe you are still in contact with us during your wedding week! You need to get some sleep girly! I'm sorry you had an episode in the airport! OMG... I bet your hubby was scared!! I wish you all the best and can't wait to see pics of your special day! How's the weather if I may ask? We are leaving in about a week and I've been having nightmares that the weather is cold and the ocean and pools are freezing! A few more days and you get to walk down the aisle with the sun at your head and sand at your feet! We put on our wedding brochures "Sun requested but shade provided!" ha-ha! *hugs* ~ Erica
  14. Hello... I'll let you know in a few weeks, we booked him for our February 10th wedding! I've heard some great things about him, that is why we booked him. Check out his website! Ivan Luckie Wedding Photography ~ Erica

I feel so sleep deprived! ~ Erica

As you are walking down the aisle I will be flying above you on my way back to Michigan on Feb. 2nd. Can't wait! *hugs*
  20. Sveta - hope you're feeling better. Take some Vitamin C and get plenty of rest! That is nice that your friend is going to sing for you, so sweet!! I think she should sing before you exchange rings, as you are staring into eachother's eyes and holding hands. Are you getting married on the beach? Are you playing a song as you walk down the aisle with your dad? We just decided we are playing a song... it is "Over the rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, he was a Hawaiian singer and I love his voice/music! Our first dance song at our AHR will be "At last" by Etta James. It has a little significance as we've been dating for 6+ years and we are finally getting married. This is strange but I've never danced with my dad before so this will be the first time! I picked "My Girl" by The Temptations. I just hope it isn't too fast for us! I liked your necklace but I think you need a little more sparkle! Your dress is gorgeous and I think you can find some new bling to go along with it! No more rocking! You're gonna make yourself loopy!!! ~ Erica
  21. Susie - congrats on becoming a Mrs. - that is great you can relax a little now huh? Are you changing your name? If so, are you buying one of those kits or doing it all one by one. I'm still undecided on when I will change my name. Since we live in China my passport and my Chinese visa has my maiden name and I don't want to go through getting all the name change stuff down until absolutely necessary. Timberly - nice pics, looks like a lot of fun and very nice decorations too! Did you get some good stuff? Details... details Krista - Sorry about your last min. changes... that stinks. I had being put in awkward situations. Hang in there girl and put it behind you! I had my dress fitting last night! It went GREAT! I've lost 8.5 pounds so far and I had to have the sides taken in 2inches on each side... yeah!!!!!!! Latest picture... still needs a few things but it's coming along! ~ Erica
  22. Yes they were very reasonable. I think they were around $300 and the reasons I got them were: 1. So I could keep mine 2. So they would last longer in the hot Mexican sun for pictures/late night partying 3. So we could re-use them for our AHR a week later 4. My MOH & BM wanted to keep theirs too Hope that helps & good luck! ~ Erica
  23. Oh wow.... SUSIE!!!! I'm sooooooooo excited for you!!!! You are going to be the first legal "Mrs." out of the Feb. 2010 bunch. I didn't sleep much last night either. We watched PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.... I was so freaked out all I do all night was this... Today is big day for me.... my tailor is coming over tonight to add a loop/bustle to the underside of my dress since it has a little length to it. Then he will shorten the straps, add some beading and secure my veil to the comb. I had everything made in China and it's been so easy to tweak my dress how I want it. I haven't tried it on in 3 months, I hope everything fits. Good luck to all of you on your last minute wedding stuff! ~ Erica
  24. Hello! I used Sharon Nagassarr Designs www.SharonNagassarDesigns.com She did an excellent job and I had many green cym's in all my bouquets... check them out!! Good Luck! ~ Erica

We are still in debate if we are going to head to the discoteca with our friends and family, or make way to the honeymoon suite- Thanks for the shipping suggestions, you have all convinced me it is better to split it up in our luggage. I just hope for no problems at the airport... Hope you all have fantastic Fridays!!! Breens - make sure and bring all your receipts for the stuff you're bringing to mexico. If you get asked it's good to have all the documentation in order. I have a folder I've started just in case! ~ Erica
