    A diamond necklace?!?!! That's just hilarious (in a slightly tragic sort of way). I will just echo everybody else, it's beyond ridiculous. She's not contributing, you are paying for her trip and she wants a gift...I'm just curious, why exactly does she think she deserve another gift in addition to you paying for her trip?

    Hi Dani, We are getting married at Barcelo. While they do not allow outside photography, they do allow it if the person is your guest. We are flying out our photographers so they will be there for a few days but if you get somebody local, I believe you can just book them a room for one night, and they are your guest. I'm not 100% sure that this is still the policy but it is for us so I would double check. I don't know about the other resort so can't compare

    For those getting married at the Grand - are your guests staying at the Grand as well? Do they just get a pass to go to your wedding?

    Apologies as I'm sure this question may have been answered (the 179 pages of the Paraiso thread scared me) but the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso is adults only correct? So are there other hotels right around the property that is not adults only? Thank you!!!

    My understanding is the same. Our photographers are allowed as long as they are staying with us at the hotel. We are looking at videographers as well and will just book them for 1 night at the hotel.

    She wasn't there when you needed her on several occasions. As a friend she should have been there through the breakup, through the time when you were out, and when you were looking for a job. The fact that she kept information from you and actually lied to people about talking to you...to me that's not a friend and not worth your effort. I have similar "friends" but at the end, life is too short to waste your time on people like that imo.

    Thanks everybody! I talked about it with my FI and he said he understood and that he will talk to his mom. I don't want to take that moment away from her if it's something she had always wanted, but I'm hoping they won't mind making it unofficial.
