Where did you get that information regarding DJ? I've never heard of the $200-$400 per hour? I don't believe the hotel even has a preferred DJ Vendor...

How did you print the table info on the umbrellas?

Let's just all agree that when we are somebody's mother or FMIL, we will not pull this crap ;-) Seriously...our invite list hit 207 (I don't even know that many people)...MOST of whom would definitely come to a local wedding. There is a reason people do destination weddings, why is that so hard to understand!!

OMG!! For a second I thought that I had written an entire post and didn't remember it. After I designed and made our own passport invites, FMIL constantly adds people to the list. But it gets better - she now says that we don't need to send invites because she just forwards our website as the invitation. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread but it's just identical to our situation. Try not to let it stress you out (I know easier said than done). Just try to explain that unfortunately you already purchases everything and can only make a certain # of invitations and would like to keep your guest list at a certain #. Besides, you sent the initial list months ago so it's not your fault she NOW wants to add people. Good luck!!!

Marak - where did you hear about that vendor policy at Barcelo?? I'm only asking because I was told that as long as they are a guest at the hotel, no # of minimum nights. Most people that our bringing in outside vendors are just booking 1 night and then there is no additional cost.
