Oh that's a bigger group so you'll be able to see them! I hear they meet by the tennis courts - but I would just park in that little parking lot across the street from the 3 mile loop and you should see them.

Try Ventura's Bridal - they're not intimidating at all or Houston Bridal Gallery on I-10 - I went in looking for hair flowers and they let me just try stuff on, no pressure

Yes absolutely! I do the Tues/Thurs/Sat evening boot camps - which ones are you doing?? So excited!!!

She gave me a quote of $15 per chair and she won't move them from the ceremony site to the reception site - so if you have 25 people coming - you need to rent 50 chairs...25 for the ceremony and 25 for the reception - that was her email to me a while ago. I am renting those chairs from Deco Cancun and it's $8 per chair which includes a $2 fee to move the chair from the ceremony site to the reception site.

I haven't heard of Cleopatra's secret either...BUT...I used to hate waxing and then I found European Wax Center which uses the purple wax which is a lot less painful (still painful...but less painful) AND I go every four weeks on the dot so it seriously gets easier every time I go. My bachelorette party is this weekend!! I'm going to Boston though because that's where all my closest friends are...I moved to Houston from Boston about 3 years ago. Chong - I live in the Heights too - actually a little further up, right around the corner from Cedar Creek. I heard there's a new place on 11th - Bistro something - that's supposed to be good. I spend most of my time in the Heights and Washington.

And a day of beauty of course. getting my eye lashes done at Nancy's Lashes off of Fondren & Richmond. She charges $30 and they stay on for up to 2wks! And you can wear them in the water ladies!!! Then I am getting waxed over at Cleopatra's secret off Kirkwood and Memorial. Then the Gel OPI Axxium at Q Designer Nails off Westheimer and Fountain View... I am gonna be all over the place! Ohh yay!! Sounds like an amazing day! If you go to RA and it isn't super busy - request to be seated in Van's section - he's the best waiter on the planet. I take clients there a lot and I always request him

Does this mean this is my actual appointment or do I need to go ahead and book that myself? Also, my TA contacted the resort about the free nights with 6 rooms being booked. She said that she has to submit all the info the week before and then she'll find out what we get. Does anyone know how this works? We are staying for a week, but 3 are staying 4 nights, 1 staying for 3 nights, and 1 staying for 6 nights. How do we get comped if we've already paid thru our TA? She doesn't have the details of how this works. OMG... less than 2 weeks to go!! YAY TWO WEEKS!!!! It's going to be amazing! To answer your spa question - I'd just shoot the spa an email, they're amazing at getting back to you right away and I told them my ceremony time and they sent me a list of appt times for the 7 of us - I talked to my photographer and she suggested we have 2 hours for pictures after we're all dolled up, so tell them your ceremony time and you want to be done by x time and they'll do all the rest

AHHHH I keep promising myself that once I get to Mexico I will let go and relax and not worry about anything.

There's a DRC Thread on here - and we've all posted pictures of the various locations. there is the Pool Deck (wood deck between the infinity pool and the beach), Pool Terrace (concrete area around the pools), Beach and Jacuzzi Terrace (holds about 30 people/garden grassy area in the middle of the resort) Check out the DRC Forum for pictures.

I want some alone time to get ready.. and enough space... and not to have to share bathroom/mirror/counter space with a bunch of other women.. its my wedding day!! =( It says per availability.. but you know how that goes.. i'm trying to prepare for the "sorry mam, we dont have another room available" and then i freak out lol. We actually just booked a regular room and may upgrade when we get there, not sure yet. We just didn't want to spend the extra $ for a plunge pool or anything because we will have 40 guests at the resort, many the same length of time as us so we won't have much alone time. We're planning to take another separate trip by ourselves next summer for our honeymoon. It's best to have a backup plan - it is based on availability/occupancy at the time you're there. Can your fiance go to a friends room? Are you and your wedding party getting your hair done at the spa? If you are, they have a little bridal suite that you could probably request and there are mirrors and sinks and chairs in there to get ready.

Hey ladies – thought I’d share my first real DIY project with you. I found this picture on Martha Stewarts website : Then I decided to re-create it in my own colors. I bought the scrapbook from Katie & Co here in Houston – it’s Rag & Bone size large for $119.00. You could certainly use any scrapbook from Michaels to be more cost effective. The pages can accommodate 4 4-Bar envelopes from Paper Source. Here’s a picture of the book & the first two pages. I went to Paper Source here in Houston with my book and a picture of Martha Stewarts version. They helped me pick out the colored envelopes: (16) Fuchsia, (16) Poppy, (16) Antique Gold, (16)Chocolate. (Come in packs of 10 for $3.50) Total of 16 pages and 64 envelopes Each page would have one fuchsia and one poppy then I’d alternate using two chocolates and two golds. Once I had the envelopes picked out, I bought 4-bar sized cream note cards (Packs of 25 for $4.95). And then the woman at Paper Source showed me how to make envelope liners. It’s super easy, they have envelope liner templates for $10.95 and the papers range from $2.95-$4.95. I was able to get 16 4-bar sized envelope liners from 1 sheet of paper. Then you use about three strips of double sided tape to affix the liner to the envelope. Here’s an up close of the lined envelope: I am the most uncreative, uncrafty, impatient person on the planet but I think it turned out really well and it was sooooo super easy. I spent 1 weekend on it – a few hours on Friday afternoon and a few hours Saturday morning and I was done. If anyone wants to try this – you can order the materials from Wedding Invitations, Envelopes, Stationery, Crafts | Paper Source or visit a store if you have one.

I agree with Roxmysox - it is what you make of it. My fiance and I went down for a few days and we weren't bored at all. We met plenty of people our age and spent time at Desire's and in the lobby bar. There was a comedian one night and live music the first night. Also there was a band on the beach but it was cut short since the wedding on the beach complained about the band interfering with their dj. Good for the wedding because I was about to complain for them hahaha! We are planning to take a bus into Playa (you could also do Cancun) one night. That might be an option for you ladies who are worried about the nightlife. Both Cancun and Playa are short drives away and you can arrange for private transportation for your group. We're looking at Blue Parrot Beach Club in Playa. I've also heard that cancun discounts does a bar crawl for groups in Cancun. I'd look into that for one night and then leave it open to whoever in the group wants to go. Just a thought

that's crazy ladies! Body 3 Fitness is a small gym located at TC Jester and Ella (kinda behind rainbow lodge) - I do their boot camp - they have one at TC Jester and Ella (Tues, Thurs, Sat) and they also have one that meets at Memorial Park on Mon, Wed, Fridays. It's an awesome workout. It costs $197 for 4 weeks but if you buy more sessions at a time it's cheaper. I bought three months and it was $140 a month. Totally worth it if you want to tone up before the wedding. They asked myself and a few other girls to go and do a few shows at the bridal show yesterday which was a blast. Hey Nikki - you'd get to choose to have your guests order off the Portofino Menu or Bordeaux's Menu. Both have been raved about so I'm sure either one would be excellent for your guests. I think maybe on facebook someone posted a picture of a few menus so you could see what each restaurant has.

You're right - it's not for sure - as far as I understood from my site visit. It is based on occupancy and she stated 60% or less occupancy and they will allow it. I'd double check with Ana before and also, Ana really doesn't have any control or say in what restaurant is closed down, the hotel's management would make the decision so I'm not sure how much consideration they'd give.
