I just got an email from her as well - I hadn't asked her about the dj or my outside photographer but she did confirm that I can use deco cancun (outside vendor) and it was no problem... so I'm not worried... I feel like for new girls, rules might be a bit tougher but if you think about it when Ana first started she was pretty tough at first... Â hang in there ladies! Boo - I hope you get some sleep - it's all going to work out for you.

Girl I'm right there with you. I leave on September 12th, my wedding is the 18th - I haven't slept in months and now I can add Gabriela going back on things we were told were okay previously. Â I'm going down there prepared for a fight (which is sad because who wants to get all fired up during your wedding week??) - I have all the emails from Ana confirming the use of Doremixx and our outside photographer and we'll fight until we get what we want. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes when I get back so hopefully you can get a little sleep! Â Take a deep breath! Â

I got an email from Ivan last night saying he was meeting with Gabriela this week to "revise weddings booked by Ana" - sounds like they are not going to be the preferred dj for the resort...I responded and said that I hoped even though Ana was gone Gabriela would still honor the things Ana had agreed to since we booked Ivan through Ana back in May... Â Â

JD Hall - I purchased the ultimate package and I'm having the Caribbean trio during our cocktail hour which is on the desire's terrace - when we were there in May Yazmin showed us how it would be set up. We're also doing a welcome dinner where we're having the mariachi but since we don't know that location yet, I'm not sure of the set up. Â I'd seriously double check on that dj situation... I'm on the pool deck and have a dj from 7-11. Â

I know! John asked me if I was coming back after the wedding - ABSOLUTELY! I love it!

Don't stress out about Ana being gone - I've heard from Yazmin and Gabriela twice since Ana left - just make sure you've kept your emails from Ana so you can bring them to Mexico with you. I know it's hard, but just be patient, they're focusing on brides whose weddings are right around the corner.

Ohh I was! I'm so sorry I completely meant to introduce myself but by the end of the workout I totally forgot - I'm so sorry! I think I was in a black tank top and black pants and my hair would have been straight...I feel like the trainer picks on me more than anyone else but that's because I've been working out with him for 3 months and I'm 33 days away from my wedding. Heidi is in the Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday class too - she's on this forum as well  Oh his name is John - yeah he's tough but it's such a good workout!! Â

I think a couple things are going on here - first of all - they do a lot of weddings and the summer months are peak months so the wedding coordinators are really busy giving the brides who are getting married a lot of attention. In addition, with Ana leaving and Gabriela getting up to speed, I'm sure that's also adding to the slow responses.  I've waited over 5 weeks for a response from Ana (my TA had to call her three times in addition to my weekly emails) and although it's frustrating, I know that when I get down there next month, Gabriela and Yazmin will give me the attention I need to finalize everything and make sure the wedding day runs smoothly. So although it's frustrating to wait for confirmation, or wait for responses, in my personal opinion this resort is worth it. That's just my two cents. I'm 36 days away from the wedding, I started planning in August of 2009 and I've learned to relax and so far, Ana and Yazmin have come through for me even though it took them 5 weeks to book Doremixx  Â

I think it'll be better! I really do, Gabriela and Yazmin seem really on top of it and everything is going to be just fine But I just wanted to let you know because I didn't know how many people she was emailing before she left...and it could be confusing to just start getting emails from Gabriela...

Okay ladies...first of all - No one freak out... I got an email from Ana yesterday, this is her last week as the wedding coordinator at Dreams. Going forward it will be Gabriela and Yazmin. The email address for Gabriela is the same one we all used for Ana and Yazmin's is obviously not changing either. Â Gabriela and Ana have clearly been communicating about everyones files - but it might be a good idea to make sure you've kept all your email communications from Ana and bring them down to Mexico with you. Â

I'm doing legal and Ana told me she couldn't send the script because it was a government document or something like that...but I read on the dreams tulum thread somewhere that one girl was able to switch out the reading that's included in the script with something else. If you want bible verses read you absolutely can - but I'd suggest having a friend or family member do it...since the judge might give you push back on changing the script too much. I'm going to email Yazmin and Gabriela about the script again and see if I can get it from either of them. I'll post it if I get it. Â

I'm up for a get together whenever! I have no more travel (hopefully) until the wedding

Yay I'll be there tonight!! I'm Casey I missed last saturday because of my wedding shower out of state and then I missed tuesday because I had to fly to columbus for the day for work...ughhhh I hate missing! Â Â

When I was there in May we shared a table with the mother of a groom - she said her son had gotten married earlier in the day and then everyone went back to their rooms, changed back into bathing suits and met up at the swim up bar...then did cocktail hour and dinner later in the evening...she said it was nice and relaxed...just a thought

Hey ladies - sorry I haven't been on in a while - things are crazy and the wedding is just over a month away! So I got an email from my travel agent last night - it was an email she received from Gabriela and her title was "Weddings Manager" for DRC - she said she did not have a deposit from us and would be releasing our date on Tuesday. AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I sent the deposit back in November! And luckily I keep every email I've ever received from Ana so I have an email with an attached receipt as well as a copy of my credit card statement showing the charge which I just emailed to her. Seriously! First of all - who the heck is Gabriela? Have any of you heard from her? And secondly...I soooo do not need this right now!

Maggie Congrats on the dress!! That's so exciting! I had my final fitting yesterday yay! Angelov - I'm glad the first class was good!! Definitely take advantage of the fact that they let you use the gym and take classes while you're doing bootcamp - I really like Body Combat as well.

Allison - have an amazing wedding!!! It's almost here!! YAY!

Let me know what you think after your first one! I'm sure you will! I also do a few classes at the gym - I've heard really good things about their new class - BodyAttack, it's on Thursday at 7pm - Kelly the instructor for that class does my Saturday Bootcamp and she's AWESOME.
