Some are color, some black and white, some black and white with just flowers or somehting in the picture being color and sepia photos. So creative. We had so much fun. Here is a link to a few of the pictures on his site. Happy planning! Congrats MRS!!! The pictures are awesome! Looking forward to your review!!! Thanks so much!

Just flight florida! and Houston...where I live! I swear, all through april it says it'll rain every day and occaisonally we'll get a quick little rain that passes through.

I have emailed the resort a little while ago but haven't heard back. Thanks!! Regan Regan - we're also expecting somewhere around the 70 person rage - either location will be fine for that size. I saw in a magazine that the resort posted the "outdoor ceremony capacity" was 150...I believe Carina had 100 guests and had a beach ceremony. Also - for your reception, the deck can fit 200.

I'd love to hear your review and if you have any pictures I'm sure we'd all love to see them!!!!! Welcome back!

  6. We booked ocean view as well - and for our site visit Ana booked our room and I have no idea what she booked but I'm assuming it'll be garden view based on the rate she quoted us. It will be interesting to see the other categories...We go down May 6th for our site visit so if anyone has specific room categories or anything else that you want pictures of, let me know! Also, if there are questions you're desperately trying to get answered, let me know, I have a full page of questions and I'm happy to add to them with yours.

The true Ocean Front plunge pool rooms are the Presidential and Governor's suites. ohhh that totally stinks! We actually avoided the plunge pool rooms because we don't want to be on the first floor...but my fiance's mom just booked the ocean front plunge pool...

  9. My invitations came in today and I'm soooo super excited - I totally love them! I'm not crafty at all so we decided to order our invitations but I hope I can still share them in this section...because I'm so in love with them For the brides in the Houston area - I highly highly recommend my friend's store - Katie & Co. She totally helped us pick the perfect invitations and save the dates! Here they are!
  10. Hey ladies! I know this is totally off topic but I'm super excited...we got our wedding invitations in today! They're totally not DIY or even remotely DIY because I'm not crafty...not crafty at all and completely stressed out about the programs/welcome letters/table cards and tags that I somehow convinced myself to make...but anyway... here are my invites - what do you think?!

What about the resort photographers? And they're included in your package! I'd send them an email - someone posted Anel's email address in an earlier post - and see if they could do it! OR check with the other brides and see if they have a photographer booked for later in the day (assuming you're doing the ttd the day after your wedding in the morning...but you know what I mean!)

I hate to say this but we all know how unreliable Ana's word is!!!! I am getting super frustrated because the communication with this resort SUCKS!!! My wedding is in about two months and you would think they could respond to an email. I don't care how busy Ana is or how many weddings they have booked, they are a resort and they are providing a service, so they need to hire more people to match the demand!!!! (Sorry... I am just tired of being nice about it because it is sooooooo frustrating!!!) Before I booked I told Ana I wouldn't book unless I could have Elizabeth Medina and she responded telling me she'd make that "exception" for me. Then I told her I'd use the hotel's photographer for the welcome dinner which she said she was fine with. My advice to you is to make sure you keep the email from her that says you can have Juan and hold her to it...maybe you should contact Juan too just to be sure? I'm sorry girl - I know it's so frustrating! With two months to go you're supposed to be getting EXCITED! Not frustrated!!
  13. Ohh fun! Love this thread! Here are my reception shoes: I realize they look super bright highlighter pink but in person they're more fuschia/raspberry! And my ceremony shoes:
  14. Hey ladies - one of my friends did her first dance to a song by Tyrone Wells - so I went on itunes and just downloaded a bunch of his songs - they're awesome! I think I'm going to walk down the aisle to "Sea Breeze" but while everyone is arriving/being seated I'm going to have a few other songs playing: Happy as the sun - tyrone wells Quando Quando Quando - michael buble Looking at her face - tyrone wells All We Are - Matt Nathanson and then my bridesmaids will walk down to an acoustic/instrumental version of come on get higher from Matt Nathanson.
  15. Ohh wait I would really like to get more information on Zuniga Productions - I've been trying to figure out what to do about our welcome dinner - I don't want the standard party set up from dreams so I was looking into doing lounge furniture and a few tables but if I go through drc it's going to cost soooo much...I'm assuming you found the prices from this place to be a lot more reasonable then DRC? How did you get in touch with them? I went to the website but it's not loading correctly so if you could pass the contact info along I'd really really appreciate it! Thanks ladies!

So we're doing a cd for the ceremony, mariachi for the cocktail hour and dj for the reception. As for the tables, I'm going down next month and I'm planning to get that from Ana -it's top of my list - because we want to bring our own linens for the welcome dinner to keep the costs down. I'll be sure to post that AND the size of the arch they use on the beach for anyone who wants to bring thier own decor for that as well.
  17. I wonder if Ana was referring to Marina La Bonita - they're at the Zoetry resort down the beach from Dreams. The prices I got from them were: 6 hour sail and snorkel for 16 ppl = $2500 / Catamaran Sail for 16 people was $787 for the first hour, $385 for every hour after that. Open bar included, no food. And they have a private dinner cruise but I didn't get the details on that. And transportation is $200 for 16 people.
  18. Absolutely! Here they are! For the table card - I realize it looks gigantic but when you go to print it you click on properties, then click on features and under "sizing" change the paper size to the size of card stock you have (mine is 4x6) then check off the box that says "print to paper size" I bought paper from www.paperpresentation.com - I got the metallic Flame and I'm printing in pink ink then I got raspberry card stock in 5x7 to go behind it... I have white pearly paper for the programs and I slide them in a raspberry pocket and tie a ribbon around them. You do not need to mess with the printer paper size on these - the template is for 5x7 cardstock. I've been channeling Martha Stewart hahaha. Table Cards.ppt Program Template for Forum.doc

Just curious...I'm wondering if it's more cost effective this way?? We actually were really picky about photography, as soon as we picked Mexico we started researching locations by checking out photographers websites/blogs - which is when we came across Elizabeth Medina. So in our case it wasn't so much a cost savings as we just really fell in love with her work and were going to make it work. I've heard some girls in other threads bringing friends / photographers from home AND it is quite inexpensive to fly from Houston to Mexico it might be more cost effective for you. I've actually been looking into Christine Tremoulet for my BD Shoot but I saw on her website that she does destination weddings too.... We're inviting 150 people, so we're doing invitations and we're sending them out mid may (4 months out from the wedding date) and requesting thier reply by August 1st (just over a month out from our wedding). We're sending them to everyone. I'd say if you have a small group and you're looking for ways to cut costs, you could probalby cut this out - or make your own maybe! Also - if you haven't been to Wedding Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations & Announcements by Wedding Paper Divas yet there's pretty reasonalbly priced invitations on there that might work.
