I am in NYC and had thought of doing a wedding at a bed and breakfast in Maine. My mother loved Maine and it was close enough for family not to have to fly. We changed our mind. Realized we only wanted close family and friends there and if it was there we would have to invite everyone. There were some beautiful B&Bs there. Some were on the water, too.

We are paying for the wedding ourselves. I did plan on making a photo album for my dad and his mother. That would probably be it. Maybe print a few pictures for my father to hang up in his house. My mother had hung pictures of my brothers wedding of the family when he got married and I know my dad would want the same for ours since my mom isnt here anymore.

I agree. I think #2 is more sleek of a look, but I really like #1. That is so different. I have not seen something like that before.

I plan on doing a group photo. My friend got married in Sept 2006 in Jamaica and they did a group photo. With the thank yous she sent a group photo pic to everyone as well as one of them with you and your spouse/partner. I loved it and have it hanging in my house.

Hi I am actually planning a wedding at the Riu Ocho Rios in May 2011. I also got the same answer, nothing can be done til March 2010. I have gotten a ton of info from this site to get answers to questions I already have. We are looking to do the free package. We are probably having about 30 people and are looking to rent out the disco for 2 hours after the dinner. The dinner is included. This site will definitely help answer as many questions as you have. It looks like a beautiful resort and all the reviews from brides that already got married there seem they were very happy with the turnout. Good luck with your planning. I found my info by just searching for Riu Ocho Rios reviews. It seemed to give a bunch of info we were looking for.

Hi My niece is 10 now (she will be 11 at the wedding). I asked her what she wanted to be and do, throw the petals or carry a bouquet, and she wants to carry a bouquet like the other girls. It really just depends on you and the future flower girl/jr bm. I left it up to her.

Most of my friends and family are a serious couple. I do have one friend and my twin sister that are not in a serious relationship. My sister has mentioned about bring her daughters father that no one in my family likes. We do not want him there, so it has been made clear that he is not allowed. I figure as long as my sister and one single friend know someone at the wedding, and they both know plenty, they do not have to HAVE a guest. We, like others, are trying to leave the list to just close family and friends and I really dont want people to bring someone just to bring them. Just my view.

Hi Alison Congratulations on your engagement. My friend got married at Beaches Negril back in Sept 2006. It was absolutely beautiful! She had a reception in a hall on tehe beach on the grounds along with her cocktail hour. It was so nice. Going to her wedding is actually what made my decision on having a destination wedding myself. Hi Congratulations on your engagement. I went to Riu Montego Bay last September for a vacation. It was beautiful! We loved it. That is actually what made us decide to get married at the Riu Ocho Rios. The only thing that we did not like was that the sports bar was not up and going yet. We went about three weeks after it opened, so they probably just werent ready yet. Even with that, which I would believe is all up now after over a year, we would still go back. The whole vacation was great. The entertainment was very good and the grounds were amazing! There are always people out taking care of it. You will love it!
