i totally applaud you for making that decision. I should have done that a whileback but thought it was too late- too many ppl who are traveling from other countries have already booked their flights. I am still fighting with beaches negril about the whole flower situation. I am only paying whenI see the flowers at the resort. I will pay in advance only for my bouquet and grroms bouteniere.

I am getting married at BEaches negril but they do not have any more rooms available for my guests on my wedding days so most guests have to stay at BEaches sandy bay. I have seen mixed reviews on tripadvisor? HAs anyone stayed there who can tell me what its really like?

They are not so much upgrades as totally different. The flowers and colors they had before are changed because everyone who gets married at BEaches/sandals from JAnuary has to have a martha stewart beautiful beginnings package- i.e purple or white orchids and table settings etc. or choose one of the other themes. Any other color except those in other themed packages are extra and have to paid for 30 days before the wedding. IS that what they told you too?

I am bringing in my photographer as well. HE is staying for 4 nights and I only have to pay for his flight and accommodation and $200 for his supplies! Are you kidding me? I will definitely not be using the BEaches photographer. Another bride last month at BEaches negril said that she and her photographer were respectful to them and did buy a few pictures from them afterwards so there was no stress at all.

Okay, now I have several questions ( can you tell I've been just dying to ask these questions?) 1. Where did you have your rehearsal dinner and what was the set up? Just tables set in a circle? What was the food you asked for? It looked scrumptious. Did you have music hooked up? 2. Did you have a dance floor at the reception? 3. How much did you have to pay for the flowers on the cake? I just spent an hour with Amber tody and they are charging so much for flowers that are not martha stewart's.The cake is also 2 tiered square and plain , not even with a trim like yours. 4. Did you have the option of going to the night club- liquid - after the reception? I notice you went to RIcks and was wondering if the night club is lame. Thanks. Lots more to come for you and Sherri. Your pictures are absolutely beautiful! What time did you get married? I was thinking of getting married at the beach gazebo but is it as beautiful I wonder?

I am really regretting my resort choice right now. We did Beaches Negril because of the travel coordinator's suggestion and I chose some certain things for the wedding decor and theme, but now that all weddings are martha stewart weddings from JAnuary, I am being nickeled and dimed for every single thing beacuse my color scheme is not the same as hers. Would have been better to go to RIU in my opinion :-( Also, the resort is sold out for the days of my wedding so most guests are at sandy bay and that is getting sold out too. Amber says she will ask her supervisor but if guests stay at another resort, I dont think that they shoud have to pay an entry fee because they could not get a room at my resort? Just stressed.....

We thought about that also but a lot of the very nice resorts in NEgril on the beach are pretty expensive. So, we decided to get married at Negril and spend another 3 days at the beaches resort, and we will go to couples tower isle in ocho rios for our honeymoon. The beaches in NEgril are nicer but there is much more to do in ochorios. At couples resorts, all activities are included- scuba diving and snorkeling, trips to dunns river falls,shopping,, horseback riding catamaran cruise, au naturel island , free massage for honeymooners etc. We had a choice between couples and sandals at dunns river falls but chose couples because they offer more. The cost for 6 nights was $ 2,300. Depends on what you like though, my FI was a little bummed out as he prefers NEgril beaches but I persuaded him ;-)

Your photographs are really beautiful Sherri, It gives me a lot of hope that my wedding will be just as nice. Did you do the preston bailey sunset collection or did you choose your own flowers? I know that its Martha Stewart now but your colors were really beautiful and striking. Were there people surrounding you on the beach during your ceremony? My main problem now is that both Beaches Negril and Sandy bay are sold out for most of their rooms on the days around my wedding date and my guests have to book elsewhere now, but Beaches charges people to come in. It's not their fault that there are no rooms, I just am not sure what to do now. Finally, I am bringing in my photographer from Minnesota. He is fantastic and he only charged me for the cost of travel and board and $200 for supplies!!. If anyone wants to use him in January (he says he may be there for another week or so after the wedding), let me know. You can email me for his info.

She says she will see them herself soon, check up on the details, , let me know asap if I can incorporate those colors and elements from before, and how much it would cost. Sigh.... and my wedding is to be one of the first for the new year. I wonder if I will have any hair left by then..........?

I am panicking a bit because my wedding will b one of the first next year and I wonder if all my plans will be affected. They do say that all the weddings will be martha stewart weddings so will I be able to plan what I want/

Some guests are getting better rates elsewhere. Do you know if i can call Beaches and still add those guests to my total rm count to still perks? I guess this is directed to the TAs out there?
