We got a room upgrade with 10 rooms booked, a free rehearsal dinner, 15 dollars pp off the seated reception ( or free one hr cocktail reception), and every 10th person free. I think we also have a free mai and pedi, and a massage as well as a free honemoon breakfast. The resort is a little expensive so Im glad they have these perks.

I dont know the rehearsal dinner options, but for the wedding at BEaches NEgril which should be pretty much the same for Sandals I think, I am going with the carribrean buffet. THey didnt even list it as one of the options,, but I found out...... TO me, it appears more exciting and there is more variety.

Wow, i guess quite a few of us needed to vent!. I feel better now cos there are stories worse than mine; the groomsman backing out on the departure day... Anyway, I like some of the ideas. I have 3 little boys, and 3 little girls coming out first, then I will probably have the groomsman walk out with the 2 bridesmaids. Thanks a lot guys, you really helped.

Wow, I envy you a little. My Family and friends yes, but most of FI's friends and family not coming, and co workers are keeping mom and not saying a thing.....akward...... But for your problem, I think you need to be firm with your FI and MOH and say that if anyone else iwants to come, they have to stay at another resort. Dont let them stay with you. OR you could move to another resort with your friends and family right after the wedding. IS there any way, you can get the message out that they have to pay extra for something for booking so late, their reception meal or something like that, or is that too militant?

I dont know if anyone has put up a similar thread but I just needed to vent a little. My FI's bestman backed out at the last minute. HE had agreed to come all this time, and then suddenly said it's too expensive . He sent the message in a text, can you imagine....! He can definitely afford it, I think it's just because he had tried to get together with my MOH ( we all met at the same time about 6 yrs ago)and she rebuffed him in a bad way so I think he feels humiliated. But not to go to your friends wedding because of that..., he's married with a kid now, and she hardly even remembers him! So we have a MOH, 2 bridesmaids, and two grooms men ( one will be the best man).I cant ask anyone to back out now. How does it work when the numbers are uneven? Do the bridesmaids walk down the aisle hand in hand with the groomsman, or one by one? I just dont know.

I know what you mean. My in laws are separated and have not seen each other in about 3 years and at that time it was not so amicable between them......... I hope they behave themselves at the wedding. I am going to have them sit separately at the reception- my mom with his dad, and my dad with his mom,. But at the wedding, they have to sit together right?

THanks, The wedding is on the gazebo but they want freeze dried or real petals. I think I have narrowed it down to the bubbles and the petals.. But I looked at the price of freeze dried petals on the internet, they are not so cheap.....?Are there websites with reasonably priced ones?

What are your guests throwing? I am getting married at beaches negril and they would lke something environmentally friendly- so freeze dred petals? Pretty expensive for just throwing? Rice? Biodegradable confetti? Nothing?

Agree. My TA with DW.com is OK. I feel that she should have given me more information beforehand about my venue though and that would have swayed my decision not to have it there I think. She has also been a litte snippy withsome of my quests but in general has been nicer and is avaibale most of the time. Dont like the fact that she is sending me the travel documents for people abroad as she says its too expensive for her to send- should have told me as most of my guests are abroad. If I had to do it again, Id have chosen jennifer the TA from here.

I have attended quite a few weddings and looked at the wedding ceremonies of the brides on this forum, and it appears that the grooms vows come first in most of them. Check out the threads on the ceremonies and vows on this site, you should be able to make up your mind . I dont think it really matters though as long as you both are happy with it.

I think you should keep insisting. You had booked your wedding before MArtha came onboard and they should honor your requests. I think they will change anyway the more brides insist and argue. Its our day, and we have had visions of they way we want things to look for quite a while. They CANNOT insist that we get married in pink, green etc in the martha collections. I really think theyll change before your wedding. TK, all I can say is that I LOVE YOU!! I have been looking for an explanation as to how to get these bags together and now I have it. I will try to make up these bags this weekend. I guess I have to go to walmart or Sams club to buy the bulk items? All have found so far are individuals and I did not want to actually handle the pills and such myself. I would like to know where to get these items for the bags. At my dollar store, the tylenols, etc in the oh Sh***t bags were all separate buys. . Thanks for the info. I wont be home to see the show but I will check out the magazine.Amber just sent me photos of some flowers in my color so it appears that they are allowing some a la carte stuff. I will need to confirm how much they all cost though. I am going to get it all in writing as the costs seem to change with each phone conversation.

Thanks , perhaps I do have some hope then. I am just a little annoyed that my TA did not tell me that Jan is a busy month and that I should reserve a block of rooms.
