  1. That is amazing and a great dye job! Giving me some food for thought. Thank you so much!
  2. Thank you Marlena. I think I will go check it out this weekend.
  3. Maybe just stand in the bathroom after a hot shower to see how it stands up...lol.
  4. Avens, that is lovely and thank you for another site to search!
  5. Thank you ladies! I have been searching like a mad woman for ideas related to this color scheme - I have thoughts in my head and have liked a few things I saw but nothing concrete. You have helped me out immensely!
  6. Thanks for sharing. Question - are most of you brides wearing a white flower or is anyone going with a color? I want a colorful bridal bouquet and was just thinking that having a white flower in my hair when most of the flowers in my bouquet will be bright colors might not go together well....
  7. Hi Kellygrrrl, I would like to be added to your clear starfish list. We are getting married February 11, 2012 and will be in the Riviera Maya from February 8th-15th. I live in Minneapolis, MN. I think this is such a sweet and wonderful tradition and would very much so like to be a part of it. Thanks!
  8. There are some great ideas here. One word of caution when using tall vases, keep in mind that guest will have difficulty conversing with one another across the table with the vase and flowers in the way. I was at a wedding several years ago and could only speak to the individuals to my immediate left and right as the huge vase full of hydrangeas obscured my view of anyone else at the table. I have seen several questions as to how the decorations will be transported to the wedding but maybe skipped the pages where this was answered. Are you bringing them with you or are you sending them to the resort in advance? If shipping then how much will it cost and if bringing with you, are you packing a separate box/bag and checking it? Thanks everyone!
  9. We will do fuschia, orange, green and yellow. I have seen some ideas for bouquets, centerpieces and bridesmaid dresses with these colors but am still stuck on how I will incorporate them into my STD's and invites. I have a crafty friend whose skills I intend to use in this area though. lol
  10. Marlena, what kinds of colors did they have or were they neutral like brown, ivory, etc...?
  11. There are lots of wonderful ideas on here that are very helpful! I have a better idea of what I want. Thanks ladies!
  12. I hear ya which is why I love Ceiba. I did some price comparisons and Ceiba was cheaper than Dreams Riviera Cancun so that made me feel much better about the costs. I am hoping it adds up to being the one!
  13. The dye didn't rub off on your dress or anything else? I like that idea to reduce costs...Thanks for sharing!
  14. I am going wedding dress shopping Saturday with one of my bridesmaids so I want to look at some bridesmaids dresses in the colors we are considering. I am getting really excited!
  15. Tweets and KP, good luck! I hope you both have the wedding of your dreams! Enjoy yourselves and come back tan, relaxed and happy! Also, please bring back lots of pics to post!
  16. I find that so funny that there is no set price for anything. So typical of everything I have come across thus far... lol
  17. Ashley that is lovely! Where do you live? If it is warm and humid in the summer where you live, then see if you can do a trial of your hairstyle to see how it holds up for a day.
  18. We are put off by the party-vibe in Cancun as well which is why we are looking further south. I hope you find the perfect location for your wedding. It is difficult but I hear it gets a little better once you make that decision - lol!
  19. These are great tips! Thanks as we want a beautiful wedding without a huge price tag!
  20. Harkatea we are going to keep it on the less expensive side. We are looking at buying a house and with a wedding to pay for as well, spending lots on an AHR is not really a possibility.
  21. Hi Sunshine! We were considering Dreams Riviera Cancun but it is very much so an assembly line with no really private area for a wedding. Barcelo Maya does have several weddings each day, however, they do have areas that are private for ceremonies so you don't know that other weddings are happening at the same time. We are deciding between Barcelo Maya and Ceiba del Mar. Good luck planning!
  22. DSW has some new shoes in and they are on sale. Not sure if they have what you are looking for but might be worth checking out!
  23. Definitely pastels. I plan to check out dresses next weekend when I try on bridal gowns. Thanks Ladies!
