RyGuysBride, I went by myself today and tried on different styles that I hadn't before. I found three I liked and will bring my friends for another appointment to get their thoughts. I am also going to another couple of shops tomorrow with my friends and will try on similar styles again. I feel your pain because I am feeling the same way. I hope I have the moment soon!
Hey Deannamarie, That is alot of people. Typically rehearsal dinners are just those in the wedding party but if your MIL wants to pay to have all of those family members involved, then I say let her. The more the merrier, right??? lol
Just looking at your dress you can tell that she does fabulous work! I will be in NYC the first weekend in August but I don't think that would help in making a dress from scratch! Bummer.
Since this person is offended by DW and AHR, clearly they do not belong on this forum and are simply screaming for attention. I have blocked them and suggest others do the same as this person is Happy planning to all the brides out there and continue to support one another!
Wow Etiquette. Your name is rather ironic. I am having an at home reception because my family is insisting upon it - not because I am screaming that I want gifts. I have actually asked about the appropriateness of wording in the invitations to request that no one gives us gifts, however, family and friends were offended that we did not want any. I am not clear who is being imposed by our wedding or reception. Your remarks and attitude are rather offensive.
With all of these threads it is so hard to keep all the information straight sometimes! lol I will do a little research to find that information. I don't know anyone who has gotten married in the DR but have you checked online because there might be a Sam's Club or a Wal-Mart that might sell what you are looking for?
