  1. That is beautiful! And so lucky that they sold you the sample! Congrats!
  2. Hi Michelle, I sent an email to the photographers and they said that they do not go to Barcelo, however, we could use Anel. Is Anel part of their photography group or is she separate from them? Their email was confusing so I just wanted to hear from you to find out how they work. Thanks!
  3. Michelle, were their prices different for you since your wedding was not at DRC? Did they charge you more?
  4. One thing I have to say, I went to 5 bridal salons and EVERYONE was so nice at every salon. You hear about people having back experiences but I never experienced that. Everyone was excited and happy for me as well as the other brides who were in each shop. It made for a very lovely experience while performing my search. I hope every bride has that kind of experience!
  5. Hey Starfish! My fiance comes onto this site so I cannot post a pic but it is a Casablanca 1918. My fiance won't look it up online!
  6. I never would have thought about using another resort's photographer! Thanks for the tip as we are researching photographers as we speak!
  7. Ordered my dress today and I am so excited! I love it! Now to find my shoes!!!
  8. Pictures never do a dress justice but you can see the details that you are describing. It will be beautiful on the beach!
  9. When you look at the money you pay for the iPod Touch versus the money used toward paying a dj and the fact that you get to keep and continue to use the Touch afterward, it kind of becomes a no brainer! Thanks Pucca!
  10. Congratulations Micaela! 120 guests - wow! That will be nice to have so many people share in your special day!
  11. That is a beautiful dress Shahlo and if you tried on similar styles, than I am sure that it will be exactly what you want!
  12. Congrats Melanie! There are many threads for different destinations. We chose Mexico because it is an affordable destination for our guests, there are many beautiful resorts that are experts at having destination weddings and because the flights take less time than flying to other tropical locations like Hawaii or the Mediterranean. We were in Mexico (Cancun specifically) when we got engaged so we did site visits that week to narrow down our search. Our criteria was based in part on a destination wedding we attended last year for some friends. 1. Private ceremony location as our friends' wedding had strangers on the beach roaming near and around the ceremony. 2. Reasonable prices for rooms and airfare. 3. Beautiful resort with many activities and options for our guests to entertain them. 4. Wedding packages that included everything we would want for our wedding. 5. Lots of dining options at the resort for our guests. 6. Resort that was all-inclusive so our guests would not have to leave the resort when they wanted to eat somewhere or have to bring money with them every time they wanted a snack or a drink. I would recommend looking at threads and reviews of resorts on this site but also take a look at Trip Advisor to see what others have had to say about the overall stay at various resorts as you will find more reviews there. Hope this helps to give you some ideas. Happy planning!
