PAST, Present and FUTURE RIU Negril Brides, this thread has been kinda of quite lately. Still looking for recent reviews and pictures of weddings at RIU Negril. Lisa, did you decide to use an outside vendor for photographer? If so who? My STD notecards and magnets have been mailed this week, and after several emails and reviews of photographers websites, I finally choose and secured one for our date next July. Two task checked off my list.

Hello Emily, I too found his info on this forum, contact him last week and got some prices, but after several emails choose not to use him cause he doesn't have a website for me to see his work. But someone gave him a good review on this formum. I have also contacted several other photographers. Here are two other than John Foster that I contacted. They both are from Jamaica. Great job, they look great. I too am using VistaPrint for just about everything, already used them for the STD notecards and magnets. Also going to use them to make luggage tags and brochures. This forum has so much info to share. THANKS!!!!

I did the same thing, I orderd the small business card magnets from VistaPrint and also some notecards with the same design and on the back included travel agent info and wedding website. Also I used removable putty to stick the magnet on the back of the card and put it in the notecard envolopes that came with the notecards. I mailed them out yesterday!!!

Hello Torywedd, Any word on your confirmation yet? I know how it is to have to wait, I place mine on a Friday so all weekend I was hoping RIU Negril had me date, it was a great feeling to get that email on Monday morning with the booking confirmation from RIU. Keep me posted. Also I just booked my photograhper for my wedding day, that was a relief. I got quotes and researched all the vendors listed on this website and finally made a decision. That Task is checked off my list. I sent my STD notecards and magnets out yesterday, another task off my list.

I agree with everyone else, I am doing 1 bag per room, each bag has something for everyone and then little things they might need while on vacation. When I send out my actual invitations, there will be a list of events, which will be meeting at the pool at a certain time, at that point I will hand out the bags and say thanks to everyone. Or another idea I had was since I am getting there before all my guest, coordinate with the hotel, to put a bag in each of the rooms. Still working out the final plan on how to hand them out.

Congrats and Welcome, I just booked the RIU Negril, for July 2010 because the first date I wanted was gone, so I suggest you book the resort now. As far as travel goes, your TA should only require a deposit, and as people book they will the fair posted at that time.

I am doing OOT bags welcoming and thanking those for traveling. In the bag there will be all kinds of goodies. The Knot had a clearence sale about a week ago, so I bought some items from them. Then I am making some favors to either put in the bags also.

Hello Tory, have you choosen a date yet? I was trying to decide between to two also before I made my decision. But we decided on RIU Negril, cause of the price difference for our guest. The RTP was about $200 more a night, but other than that you get pretty much the same in both hotels. And the other deciding factor was RTP did not have our date available. So anyway maybe that little bit of info will help you come closer to deciding.

I was also trying to decide between the RTP or RIU Negril, after looking group rates, I made the decision to go with RIU Negril. The price difference was between $250 per person. After review them both, the price was pretty much the only diffrence. There were smaller things like RTP offered room service, but we didnt' care about that.

My date has been confirmed for RIU Negril, July 24, 2010. I decided to do STD Magnets and Note Cards with Travel Arrangements info on them. Vistaprint had a really good deal so made the order with them today.

Also any brides that just got married and RIU Negril have any reviews to share? I saw smashlee,23 but haven't seen her review. Does anyone know where it is?

Hello Pearlygirl, the link does not work. I have choosen RIU Negril for my wedding in July 2010 and as of now the Royal Package. I am just waiting on confimration that the date is available. The link you have doesn't work, can you email me the link or pictures of your decorations so i can get an idea of what comes with the Royal Pakcakge. My email adddress is [email protected]. Thanks! Thanks, I decided to use VistaPrint as well. I designed the note card and magnet. Just waiting on confirmation from the Resort that my date is available, once I get that I can actually place the order. Thanks for your response.

I am thinking about sending my STDs has a magnet and including a post card with the travel arrangements info and website. Any comments on this?

Hello Lisa, have you found anything out about the Poolside Reception? Also which wedding package have you choosen? Are you doing a private reception or semi private? And if you are doing semi-private, is your wedding party going out dancing at the disco afterwards? I have so many questions?
