Wow I didn't even know you could make your own stamps!! How cool is that! I'm obviously not going to be any help right now but I'd be interested to hear what you come up with for when we're sending out thank-you's!

The best way to do this is by using photobucket or picasa... both those applications will give you an IMG code that you can insert here as a text string for your images. There are some other threads the mods have generated that explain in more detail so read through: Posting Photos and see if that helps you out. It is a thread from the "Bugs, Issues or 'How-To' navigate forum questions" section that you can quickly find using the Forum Jump dropdown near the bottom of most pages.

Hahahaha I like your little dueling smilies there Good luck this morning when you meet with your TA! I hope it goes well and you can walk away happy again!

Dee, or anyone else needing swim suits.... Victorias Secret still has a bunch of clearance stuff and their bikini pieces are all around the $5.99-9.99 price. My sister managed to find one or two pieces at $2.99 even!!! Between the two of us we ordered about 30 pieces (yah might've been a little overkill!) but shipping was only about $25 because of the price bracket we were in. They have some really cute summer dresses that would be great for coverups too. Worth checking out since I know they're still advertising delivery for Valentines day which would give you just enough time.

awesome thanks beth!!! -
Okay have I mentioned before that I LOVE having a trainer?!?! I've been going for three weeks now and my hour-long workouts aren't enough! It goes by so quickly every single time. I'm also doing a set of six-week running programs during the rest of the week (5 days at about a half hour per run) and my trainer said tonight that I'm definitely in a good position to be seeing results by the wedding!!! I know I'm lucky that I don't have a lot of weight that I'm trying to get off but he said that because I'm doing toning and have a small margin of change to make, it's going to be a lot of hard work for me. The strange thing is that I'm actually REALLY excited about it! Hope everyone else has been keeping on it!

Forum Maintenance 1/31/2010: feedback please
echo2_62 replied to TammyWright's topic in Forum Suggestions & Feedback
I'm having the same problem that Vallarta posted above with a thread being "stuck" on a page, despite showing new posts on a new page. It happens to be the same thread but I've had the same issue on others before. thanks for all the hard work to keep things running smoothly!! -
We definitely did have a few weeks of NASTY cold weather but had some warm weather roll through a few weeks ago and since then it's been a pretty decent winter. Sadly though, I'd really like to have more snow than we've been getting. I enjoy my skiing and snowboarding and we haven't been out nearly enough yet!! I know it can be just as brutal where you are Tracy!! Oh I'm curious for those of you trying to get labels to stick on your mugs... have you tried liquid cement glue? I was thinking that the old Elmer glue that comes in the brown glass bottle and smells NASTY might work well. I had the idea because I just bought a wonderful glue invention - it's in a Spray Can!! I've been using it on my current projects and as far as permanent adhesives goes, it seems to be doing the trick on my fabric, balsam wood (thin stuff) and ribbon. Might be worth a shot!!

Not sure how much everyone else has looked at the site but you can print out a booklet with the complete workout for the pushups. Down the left hand side, click on the link that says "Complete Program" and it gives you a pdf. There is also a program set up for 200 situps and 200 squats that I'm printing up right now too! I am on a 6wk running program just like this so I'm really excited to combine all of the programs for a full workout!!!

wow cool site! Thanks for posting... I'm game to give it a try

Custom Linen Suits $99!
echo2_62 replied to FoxyBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
thanks for adding in the cost to seattle! If I remembered correctly from ordering the swatches the price difference wasn't too great from the US price anyways and you aren't too far from us either. Hopefully that will work for us! -
LOL nope!!! I had NO luck with finding a good TA or one that could get me decent prices. If I'd gone through a TA we could never have afforded our resort and neither could our guests. I'm a little insane and am on the westjet sites ALL THE TIME (flying back and forth to ontario & winnipeg enough will so that to a person!) so I knew there were better prices posted there if they had a sale on. It's just the tricky times right now where they don't have any sales for my resort but about 97% of our guests are booked. I'm not personally a fan of Air Canada at all so I was happy to avoid them for my own flights which was why I ended up travelling on the Monday (westjet) instead of Sunday (A.C). There's nothing wrong with wnating to be at your resort the same day (or even a day or two earlier!) than your guests. That's just what you want and it's okay... you just have to know how much you're willing to compromise and negotiate in order to get that! I mean for me, the money you'd paid on your deposit is too much to lose completely but I'm okay with different arrival dates. Now if someone told me to give up the money or I couldn't have a DW and had to do a local wedding... then I'd be saying GOODBYE to that cash because having a local wedding would be devastating to me. LOL, I hope that analogy makes just a little sense!! It does in my head If you want help figuring out some options for your resort stuff, send me a pm with some of your details and I'll see what I can dig up!

Also, FYI I stopped in at Cameo and Cufflinks (Dalhousie) and they are having a huge sale. Up to 70% off Feb 3-7 If anyone is looking still for a dress or bridesmaids... We could get $150 per person back from whoever books with our Signature package but we are seriously considering just starting over. I'd really like to be on the same flight as my family from Regina and also arrive and depart on the same day. Signature and AirCanada fly on different days. Not a huge deal but I really would like to be all together. Hahaha, well if it makes you feel any better about your whole mis-aligned flight issues... half my group is heading down to Mexico on sunday with Air Canada (and one on continental) and they're all from Calgary then the rest of the group will be heading down on Monday. Those traveling from Winnipeg arrive earliest, then Toronto and FINALLY my flight with a bunch of friends arrives Monday evening! LOL! So yes, basically I'm going to be the last to arrive for my own wedding, and some guests will already have been there a full day It's completely messed up but every guest has a direct flight and was able to travel on the day that suited them best. That was enough for me!

Boo - check out Custom T-shirts, Personalized T-shirts, Custom T-shirt Printer Toronto That's where I'm ordering my mugs from and you can get them in lower quantities at good prices. One caution - they have a TON of merchandise and it takes time to go through. They will have lots of offers for the same style mugs, just at different minimum quantities and different per item costs. I wanted a closed handle mug so I think the ones we're going with are PT88 which is very similar to most that people have ordered from discountmugs.com in the US. I can send some more later if you like...

Custom Linen Suits $99!
echo2_62 replied to FoxyBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
This is a question directed at any of you that have ordered your suits into CANADA.... can you give me an idea of what your shipping costs were and how many suits or pair of pants that included? I'm worried that with the high cost of shipping just for the swatches that it might be Unreal for the suits themselves. THanks!! -
Just curious about your deposit... can you not use that money towards your own flights or say a parents flights?? I thought I remembered my TA saying something like that when she'd been trying to figure out packages for me (although her prices still weren't good enough!). You couldn't get your money back like a refund but it could be directed elsewhere for flight costs. Worth asking about if you haven't already and it might save you having to rebook??

Turns out this is more of a headache than anything! So because of all this craziness, I've had to cancel the order on my beautiful dress. I need to try to make up all this money I've lost out on I've opted to just find a white sundress instead. Thought even about looking for bridesmaid dresses in white! Any suggestions of where to go in Calgary. "Project: cheap dress" is starting today! AWw, I'm so sad for you that you have to cancel your dress order!! That just doesn't seem fair. If it helps you any, we really didn't have too many questions from our guests about booking. And we had guests flying out of Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary (plus one routing from Nanaimo, BC) so we had pretty good coverage! I guess it just depends on how saavy you are with the websites of all the booking agents. P.S. Check your prices at itravel2000.com to see what they offer. I had to book our photographers room through them and when you PHONE your booking in, they can most often give you a discount of $100 plus off whatever the web price was. The girl had said that if we'd booked our wedding through them that all of our guests would have received a discount, although I'm not sure how much. So perhaps you could use them as your travel agent?? Oddly enough, go check Sears ONLINE because they've just added some new wedding dresses to their catalogue which are seriously nice, and look perfect for a DW. The bonus - they're only like $150 or something! Otherwise if you can manage a road trip down to the US, it seems like David's Bridal is always having really good sales so it might be worth the gas/hotel costs? Otherwise try checking Macy's and JCPenney online as I'm pretty sure both ship to Canada and also have some really pretty dresses. Not the usual place you'd think of looking but it'll save you the bucks!!

I will need to call and find out, but we were hoping to find something in the city so we can see if it is too shiny or not for FI. Do you happen to know if they will customize a bit? Thanks for all the info. you provided on that thread. It was your posts that made me check it out in the first place! Yay! I'm glad that I could help you out! To be quite honest I'm not sure what custom work they would do but I would definitely be calling them to ask. We got: Black Tungsten with inlay and even though it's not a matte finish I think the black colour makes it seem less shiny over all. Now when it comes to being able to ship it back, I can't comment on custom products but I do know that with the engraving option, it is a one time fee that you pay. Period. If you need to get your ring re-sized or if anything is not right, you can still return the ring. I was really shocked because we'd been planning on waiting to have it engraved until we were sure about the fit and everything... but they said why bother with extra shipping since that it the policy they have! Sweet! P.S. it looks like they have a decent sale on right now so it may be worthwhile to take a look

well the funny thing with his bach. party is that I totally don't even care that they're taking him away for the weekend. He absolutely needs it and I really want him to have lots of fun with the guys. I just don't get why my friends think it's SO amusing to keep me in the dark when it's not even my own party! It isn't like I have a history of ruining surprises or anything so they have no reason to think that I wouldn't be able to keep the secret myself. And I didn't think that they'd hold even the most basic of details from me too. GGRRRRR!

dress too short
echo2_62 replied to midnight24's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Hey I just noticed that you're in Burlington... is that the Ontario one?!?! If so I'm hugely curious what bridal shop it is that you're dealing with! I've got lots of friends around there and it'd be good to be able to warn them if possible! -
arg, I can't seem to post without it doing a double... sorry!! So to make use of it... I need to rant for a second. Okay so I get that it's fun to plan surprises for people for their bach. parties but I'm a little bit frustrated with my friends right now. They've got FI's bachelor weekend all booked, invites went out this weekend I believe and that's all fine and dandy but they won't tell me a single detail about it, they just keep saying don't worry, he'll have fun and that's all you need to know. I've gathered that they're staying in the country (ie. not going to Vegas) and that he'll be gone Friday - Sunday but that's all. And the worst part is that I've told them that while I don't need every single detail, the general idea would be appreciated - and they seem to think it's more funny to watch me get frustrated and worked up by it!! They've even told me straight to my face that they're laughing at me because I can't stand not knowing and that they know I'm not going to find out. And the stupid thing is that I have no idea what the girls are planning for me even and I completely don't mind that I don't know for myself... except that not knowing his plans is making me *really* not want to be a part of anything for myself either!! Am I completely mental?! And all I keep hoping is that whatever the girls have planned is on the same weekend so that for at least part of the time I will be distracted enough from everything the guys are doing. Otherwise I'm going to just drink the entire time myself. UGH, yes this is seriously getting to me and I can't whine to anyone here because they're all in on it!

Hey Suzy - where did you order your flasks from? I was thinking about this for the guys, but also trying to leave it up to FI to take care of the guys himself. But that also means accepting his last minute way of doing things... I'm not so good at that. Michele - the other idea I had for the back of your timeline is maybe the menu if you're not doing something separate for that OR any special thank yous that you maybe didn't have included elsewhere? We're not doing any sort of program or whatever and that might be a good way to sneak it in if you need to? Otherwise, and I can't remember if it's possible, but you could turn the postcard upright which would let you create that longer look for listing everything down? Just random thoughts anyways, feel free to ignore them if you want I sent a pm to Tonya the other day after seeing her posting about the cancelled wedding. She sent us all her best wishes and said that she's slowly getting through things. I'm still not sure what happened though but wished her luck. So sad though, I can't even imagine I got started on a small project for the wedding this weekend... I figured that since we don't really have much along the way as keepsakes that our parents or grandparents will really want, maybe I should do a little something. Keep in mind that we've had issues already with FI's family and I'm anticipating more when they realize that we're not doing any speeches or really any dancing etc... I can't remember who it was on here but someone had posted the hankies that they had an etsy seller make from the extra fabric from their dress alterations. I thought it was a super cute idea and even though I'm not quite sure how much dress fabric I'll end up with, I figure it's worth a shot. I bought these little wooden boxes from dollarama and then some fabric and ribbon that I'm going to cover them in. It's a bit of a headache to do them but I had a girlfriend helping yesterday so that made it better. I'll try to take and post pics along the way!!
