I know you ladies were throwing around the group rates recently. The only one I've been offered by the resort is 10 rooms or more $126/p nght/ per person. min 3 night stay Have any of you ladies signed the contract for this? I'm curious on what steps your taking to ensure this. I am still working on finding a travel agent to help me with all this stuff.

I'm not sure if there is a thread on this yet or not! I have just started planning my wedding, October 22, 2010 in Dreams Punta Cana. After our stay at the resort, our honeymoon is going to be traveling allllll around the island and I want to see everything I can! So, I have just contacted my wedding coordinator on what excursions they know of at the resort. I wanted to see what ones all the other Dominican brides have found!! omg ive been soooo mia from the board and i can hardly keep up with you ladies! Well i finally got my date confirmed...October 22nd 2010, 6:15pm on the beach I dont know when the sun sets but hopefuly it wont be too dark! I want the reception to be at the Bourdeaux. Is anyone else doing the beach & bourdeaux? Is it possible to walk in heels on the beach? ahhh! i hope so!

id pick dreams pc bcus it seems bigger. i was considering the other one too but think about this, dreams pc was voted best pool in caribbean and also best family resort as well in like 07. Dreams pc was also recently renovated. now for tripadvisor, theres going to be bad reviews on EVERY resort. you make how you want your vacation to be. if you book your resort with the feeling of having a bad experience, you will. stop trippin! get off tripadvisor! just enjoy your time. wherever you intend to stay!

This is so exciting! I love this website! Its so nice having other people in the same boat as you! Well since i first started this post, Im pretty sure we're settled on Dreams. Its kid friendly and Ive been there before and its absolutly amazing! The reason i was considering Majestic was because it reminded me most of Dreams. I got good advice from the knot DW boards, and one bride told me that if my fiance was absolutly set on doing it at dreams, then just let him have it. This one thing, i get everything else. So i see there are other brides considering oct 2010 too!! Im thinking Oct 16th but i havent sent my info into the wedding planner yet so it might not be available anymore. im considering a travel agent. what have urs offered for u @ dreams? can any of u recommend one to me?

I'm just curious as to why the other brides decided to hire a travel agent. My sister did a destination wedding, use a TA, and she felt like it would have been cheaper and unneccessary. Do they charge you anything besides booking? Are their prices cheaper, or more expensive then just booking online? What are the perks? Just contemplating here. I feel like we will be fine without one and people who are having money issues can just book for cheaper on cheapcaribbean.com. And we can just book with the hotel for group discounts. Feedback porfavor!

karen i was just like you! i was going crazy tryin to think of all these different ways to do my stds and i finally found one that makes me happy! How are all you domincan brides doing your invititations & stds?? I wanted to send our "postcard" type stds & ive been trying to look some up online to buy from the dr but i cant find any! Or a DIY postcard w/ a cute map of the dr to print on my makeshift postcard which i cant find a cute map online either! I'm not sure how i want to do my invitations yet because i plan on including lots of info for nervous guests. I was thinking boarding pass type because i can create pockets to put more information in.
