Here are some of the "templates" I used for the items that were specifically mentioned. Keep in mind I am using the word templates loosely! My DIY work is not an exact science and I would have to mess with things to get them to work a lot of time! First, I attached the file for the map I used - I just put it in word and then you can edit, resize, add text boxes, arrows, etc. as you wish! Second, I attached the file I used for the chapsticks. I just bought generic chapsticks that came in packs of two at Dollar tree. I took off the labels (came off easy!) and then printed the attachment out on blank sticker paper from Staples. Then I just cut them out and adhered the sticker label to the chapstick. You may need to resize a little if your chapstick is a bit bigger/smaller. Also, you can ungroup each square and add in your monogram, colors, etc. Third, I attached the files (one for orange mints, one for blue mints) for the Mints/tic tacs. Again, I just bought generic tic tacs from Dollar Tree. I *think* there were three per pack - they were orange and blue in color so I kinda worked with that theme vs just sticking to my monogram colors. Same process as chapsticks - print out on blank sticker paper from Staples, cut out, and adhere. The tic tac labels were a little trickier to get off - I just did the best I could and even if there was white paper still stuck on, I put the label over it. Hope this helps! Will post meet the guests in the next entry! Nikki Nikki you are soo awsome for posting that file of the map!! thanks a million for this!! -

So, unless you plan to make Puerto Vallarta your next residence, you’ll need a passport to get back home! If you don’t already have one, visit Passport Home for detailed information. Allow 4 – 6 weeks for routine processing and 2 – 3 weeks for expedited. Climate Historical Temperatures in May average 77˚F, with a High of 85˚F and Low of 70˚F. Humidity averages 87% - 68%. Water temperature is around 79˚F. Getting Around With more than 1,000 taxis in town, there is no problem hailing one. Taxi fares are set in Puerto Vallarta; the average fare is around $30 pesos or $3 USD. A trip across town is about $60 pesos or $6.00 USD. If you plan on doing any day excursions to some of the surrounding cities and beaches, renting a car is an easy and inexpensive option. There are many rental establishments at the airport, in town, or near your hotel. If you would like more information, just ask us! This is great!! Thanks soo much working on mine too

So kinda related to first dance song. How much is too much for dance lessons. Me and FI have been going to dance classes for almost 4 months. Our dance instructer has offered to choreograph a dance to our first dance song "Love Song" 311. To choreograph hes charging $145 and its like $40/per class...roughly 450 dollars...Its a little steep. Wondering if anyone else has ever taken dance lessons.

Thanks girls! I just really dont see him asking him 'till the day of and I don't want to have a bridezilla moment on him. I've completly avoided being bridezilla because I'm honestly lax on everything. I'll wait patiently. Ill keep you girls updated

So my fiance for whatever reason (he has given several) still has not asked his brother to be his best man. I have tried to encourage and gently ask. He still hasn't. I have contact with his brother's girfriend via Facebook, but I don't know if it would be inappropriate to kinda tell her the situation. BTW we are getting married in June, which I know is still 130 days away, but he is the only one standing with him along with my sister (MOH). Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We do live like 5 hours away, and he insists on asking in person. HELP!

So just to clarify, Only invite those that are invited to the wedding. We are having a rather small wedding around (25 or so from the US), and do not plan on having a AHR. I would like to invite some friends that aren't invited to the wedding. Im still up in the air about who to invite. It sounds like the predominant feel is only invite those invited to wedding.

Alternatives to OOT bags?
Naye84 replied to KJT1985's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Im in the same boat as all of you. We are paying for our wedding as well, and not all of our guests are staying at the resort with us. A favor sounds like a good option. We are making wine charms and putting a little pendant engraved with Puerto Vallarta 06-12-10, and putting those in little gift boxes we bought at Hobby Lobby. The thing I don't know if that is enough or if thats too cheap. My FI and I love wine, and we think its a good detail. Let me know what you think. Thanks -

June is definitely not my first choice either because oddly I can't stand to be hot! But being from Wisconsin I'd definitely take it over the snow/cold we've got going on right now. I've got my dress and am working on getting my invites out... they're DIY so I'm about half way done... really need to get them out in the next week or 2. FI and I jsut went shopping to pick out his outfit this past weekend... he's wearing a plain white oxford with a tan dress pant... will probably roll the sleeves.. he's also going to wear a fuschia/orange tie if I can find one. We also went ring shopping for his band... and found one that he likes and it's a steal - so I'm really happy about that! Next on my list is the OOT bags... even the thought of that is overwhelming... but exciting too! June can't come quick enough but will be here before we all know it!! YEAH! Im getting married on June 12th as well!! At Le Kliff, Puerto Vallarta. Im so excited and nervous all at the same time. I am working on my DYI invites myself (well my sis/MOH is doing them). I was thinking about mailing them out in February, so i guess that is two weeks. Goodness!! So far I have my dress, a photographer, some party favors, and that's it. Post your DYI invites!! I'll post mine when they're ready!! My FI refuses to wear a coral colored tie, i think it would look cute. Good luck planning

Thanks for all your recommendations...I really appreciate it!! -
Hello fellow Puerto Vallarta Brides!! I am getting married this June at Le Kliff. Well we plan on doing a spiritual wedding at Puerto Vallarta and applying for a marriage certificate here in the states to save the hassel of blook work and expense abroad. We cant figure out if we should go to the courthouse before or after our wedding. We both agree that our real wedding is on June 12th, but its confusing because if we go to the court house like a month before we will technically be married for a whole month. I feel it may take away from the special day doing it before. AGGHH anyway just wanted to get some input from fellow destination brides. Wondering how you'all are doing it. In the end I know its up to us. Thanks!! Joyce
