  3. This is my girl Bella (not vampire name related...lol. I've had her for almost 8 years)!! She was digging a hole this day and instead of getting in trouble, I grabbed the camera. I don't know if you can see it, but her nose is covered in dirt in the last shot....lol. I luuuurve her smile. I just found out on Friday that this set of images is a finalist in the International Photography Awards 2009!!! So exciting!! Bella might be famous! lol.
  4. How beautiful!!! I LOVE the shot of your friend writing advice on the board. How creative and fun!!! Beautiful ceremony and reception. congratulations!
  5. I agree with Nathaniel....find a photographer in your area whose work you love. If they stay a few nights with you, then you can say they are a guest. A lot of photographers in the DC area are just getting started and would LOVE to have the chance to do a DW. Plus, you can see their work....lol. The only downside, is that since you have to fly them in and pay for their hotel, they may ask for more than $2000, just to cover expenses. Check out some photographers at bridal shows, and if you find one that you love, ask them if they do destination. I guess it just depends on the photographer, though. Good luck with everything!!! Hang in there!!
  6. Absolutely gorgeous!! I love all of the details!! Congratulations on a beautiful wedding day!!!

  14. Hey guys!! Me again! I forgot to mention in my bio above that, while I've been in the industry for a while, next year is my first OFFICIAL year diving into abroad wedding photography!! So that means.....drum roll please.....my prices are pretty dang low and my quality is pretty dang high! My prices are only staying on the low end for the first five brides to book me for a DW, so shoot me a message if you want the 4-1-1. (Wow...that sounded totally 90's.)
  15. Heck yeah!!! When a photographer is just trying to get a great abroad portfolio going, most of them will be willing to shoot for just travel expenses. What you have to watch out for, are the photographers who don't know what they are getting into. Make sure that they are incredibly experienced in weddings. You certainly don't want a newb abroad wedding photographer in addition to having that same photographer be new to the wedding industry. So, if you are going to go this route....seriously (but super politely, of course) give your potential photographer the 2nd degree. Find out what their processes are for portraits. Look at their portfolio and ask how those weddings went. Ask for references!! Other brides are always willing to rave about their photographers if they are awesome. But, don't settle. Seriously. A lot of photographers will jump at the chance to shoot a first destination wedding. Just make sure those photographers are who YOU want to hire. Good luck!!!
