    So jealous of you girls if you get to meet up! Â I did a weekend long meet up with several girls from the forum in Chicago...it was a BLAST! I also met Josie--a past riu RM bride!

    SOOOO many gorgeous dresses! Now I just have to wait a reasonable amount of time to renew my vows and get another one hahaha!

    Staicy- I did the same thing as Jen. We flew our photog from home and he stayed for four days. They didn't even bat a lash when I told them we would not be needing the resort photographer. Didn't even ask a single question. We also flew in our videographer...same deal. They just told us to send the resort videographer away if he came to tape. Â Adrienne- Hope you have a great weekend! Â I am trying to find motivation to finish my shutterfly wedding photo book!

    My cocktail hour took place at the bar in the theatre. They set us up outside and we had 2 servers taking our orders from the bar in the performing theatre area. We were all seated outside. Â I liked the Riviera Maya much better than the Mexico..

    My only suggestion would be to haul the mugs yourself because people will be so thankful to have them at the resort. We had people trying to buy ours from us because the cups the resort uses are so small. If you rely on people to pack them themselves, it probably won't happen...Just my opinion though! Â Dana- UGGHH! You are having no luck with the dresses! I am so sorry to hear about it! Hopefully Afred Angelo can work some magic for you!

    Will any of you brides be having your weddings or be at the Valentin 12/24-12/26?? DH and I are staying there for a couple of days before going to Secrets Maroma. Â If there are any pictures or anything that someone wants, send me a PM! More than happy to help if I can, since I'll be visiting!

    Adrienne- that is outrageous IMO, however it will be such an amazing day I can promise you that! I honestly think it is worth every penny! Â Jen- sounds like you have the right mindset! That's exactly what we did and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it! Â Dana- SO SO SO sorry to hear that your fitting didn't go well! I feel like bridal salons advise people to order bigger to suck them into paying for alterations at their store! I would take it to an offsite tailor. It would probably be cheaper! Atleast you don't have to worry about it being too small, but I would be super upset too!

    V- honestly, ours felt like a "real" wedding reception just no dancing after dinner....we had the mariachi band at our cocktail reception- I danced with Sam and my dad then. Are you planning to go the DJ route?

    Adrienne- why did all the prices change? Sorry, I'm sure this was mentioned before but I haven't had the opportunity to go back. Is it because you booked your wedding for 2011? Is it because of the # of guests?

    V- I can't remember how many guests you are having, but we did the semi-private reception at Chilis and we had an upstairs room all to ourselves and it was completely private from anyone else dining there. Not sure if that makes a difference for you or not, but just thought I'd throw that out there

    We had sooo much extra cake but it was sooo delicious! We took it back to our room and put it in the fridge to have for a few late night snacks! It was awesome!!!
