Awesome job! My FI are definately going to Rock the Reception! I can't wait to suprise everyone!

We've asked my Aunt and Uncle to be our MC's! They were stoked to be asked! My Aunt is a singer and my uncle is funny. When choosing I think it's important to chose someone that knows you and your FI pretty well, is definately a funny person/people and speak/preform in front of large groups frequently!

My FI and I have discovered Wedding Wire that has a list of songs with music video links for You Tube. It's a good site becuase it breaks down song choices into the different categories of dance and is really halpful in guiding some initial song choices. Happy Hunting! I'd be interested to know as well! I just ordered Real Touch Bouquets from Plumerias Wedding Boutique and was thinking of incorperating my bridesmaid bouquets into the table centrepieces, thinking of a little double duty bang for my buck. My plan is to send the WC some pictures of the bouquets I ordered and see if the flowers they get for decorations will look similar to the bouquets for the decorations! I heard that the flowers at the ceremony are also used in the decorating the reception.

Thanks ladies! They were all mailed out yesterday! I used transparent mailing labels for the RSVP addresses and for the return address labels. My amazing mother hand addressed all the invitations in her wonderful calligraphy! On the pocket fold she wrote the names of the couple that the invitation was for! They look so great! My friend Dan designed the invitations for me and is starting his own buisness! He's getting the website organized and I'll post his details once the site is ready! Already got my first RSVP back!

Hey Everyone, Our wedding date is July 7 and our reception is at the Garden Grill. Good question about the cord and hook-up needed for the IPOD! I'd love to know as well! Also, I was wondering about the music during the ceremony. My FI has been putting together a list of tunes and the music that we'd like to be played. How did the music go during your ceremony? Were there speakers? Could we just create a separate I POd list? Thanks for the advice!

Well our invites are done and I just love them! The colours turned out to be just perfect and I was so impressed with how quickly CARDS AND POCKETS came through with the printing! Literally a three day turn around from ordering to shipping! The cost was totally resonable and saved me the headache of printing them myself! I thought I'd post picture since it was this sight where I got most of my ideas! Can't wait to send them and start seeing the guest list grow! Will post pictures later today...for some reason the photobucket pictures aren't working!

Wonderful job...I like how you made them your own by doing something a little different. Ours are going out this week! Can't wait for the Guest list to start growing!

Hey Ladies...mine just arrived in the mail from Urbane in Saskatchewan and it looks great! I'm excited to attempt the DIY to convert it into the Sand Ceremony frame! I'm thinking that I'll bring it in my carry on, especially on the way back!

I think it's bad luck to sleep with the groom the night before the wedding...although being a destination wedding, I'm not sure what we'll do about that!

Oooo...really like the idea of including the bouquets into centre pieces, the girls could still have them at the end of the night but then at least everyone could enjoy them! Oh and don't worry about the large party, we're having 5 and 5!

I've got this planner and it's definately one to go with for a DW! There are some sections that definately don't apply to AI resorts but I love the checklists, the pockets, guest list/addresses section and the organizing section! It's great to have one central place to keep all your information! HAPPY PLANNING!

Hey Ladies...in the end we end up choosing #1! I'm asking Dan to brighten up the colours a little bit to include some more orange on the flowers and we decided to go with the Watermelon colour for the Pocket to add a bit of fun too! Thanks for all your responses. I'll check with Dan about his email and website...he's such a talent and is interested in getting into the wedding invitation business! I'll post pictures once we get our sample paper from Cards and Pockets! I think we're going to have them print them for us...I've read some horror stories about printing them yourself. Love the bonfire idea! You must have had a super time! Also, love the neclaces for the girls and guys! What a thoughtful idea!

I've heard about a nice idea....if you're guests live close by then you can drop the bags off the week before departure. That way you're suitcase isn't packed full and also your guests can bring what they chose to bring and your guests are suprised having to squeeze an extra bag of items into their suitcases! I think I'm going to try that way of doing things. I like the idea of two bags but will probably go with one, do gus really carry the bag?

I'm so excited we just got some invitation mock-ups. I'm so happy with the way they turned out. A good friend of ours designed them for us as a wedding gift! He's so talented!
