    The forum is good and so bad for adding things...I'm not so much changing my mind but keep getting super ideas that I want to add! All in stride and I guess it's good to be making these changes and adidtions so far from our date; although, I know it will come quickly!

    Welcome and congrats! In terms of some good tips...I'd say to have good checklists/timelines and to talk frequently with your WC at the hotel and the number one piece of advice...use this forum! HAPPY PLANNING!

    Welcome...we're getting married at the Gran Bahia in Punta Cana in July, I'm a teacher too, when we were looking this was one of the more resonable hotels when looking at the prices for our guests! There is a load of information on this forum...have fun planning and checklists/timelines are such a good thing to follow! HAPPY PLANNING AND CONGRATS!

    Awesome idea to have the first night at the disco with glow necklaces, our flight arrives later in the evening so that would be perfect for us! Sounds like it will be a blast!

    Our wedding is on a Wednesday which is right in the middle of our holiday! Also, I wanted to leave right after school ends, I'm a teacher, so it just happens that we departed and will come home on a Saturday!

    I'd say the number one beauty product to get is a good primer to go on your skin just before applying foundation. Maybeline Air Brush Perfection is really good and so is there mineral powder! I'm thinking to go to a makeup counter to get some tips too!

    I'm giving each of my girls $100...this will cover half of the dress costs and their shoes. My girls were able to take advantage of J Crews fall sale so the dresses came in at under $150 a piece including shipping!

    I will definately bring some sort of little gift and probably some appetizer/dip to share with everybody! Although the day is for us, it's nice to show our hosts they are appreicated!

    I think if I was having a small number just having a portion of a restaurant would be a great idea...we're expecting around 40 and have opted for the private reception, cake cutting and all the dances! I do like the idea of having the first dance at the champagne toast! Take a breath, relax and whatever you decide it will be wonderful! It's your day, and I guess partly your FI, but mostly your day!

    I think the fact that you're not right there at the place...having a great WC is critical. It's hard when you haven't actually been to the resort, seen the set-up and are planning from a far. I've been lucky and the WC at the Gran Bahia gets right back to me and I've had a few friends that have worked down there to help me navigate from a far. A laid back attitude is key for a DW!

    I think planning early so so critical for a DW and also having a good WC at the hotel who communicates quickly and clearly with you about what is included and what's extra!

    Sorry I don't know the designer but know I've seen it in some Bridal magazines...maybe a trip to chapters magazine section might be in order!
