  1. I'd be up for drinks...really any date is good for me, except the 27th, I'm at a baby shower. Let's choose a date soon so we can put it on our calendars!
  2. These are the sandals that I bought for both the ceremony and the reception. They aren't flip flops per say but I think will be just right for the occassion. Plus, my FI is not that much taller than me and will be in sandals as well...I didn't want to be too tall! I found them at Shoe Company...they are Guess! Good luck with your selections!
  3. Personally I like the shape of the second one and the detailing is gorgeous! Good luck with your selections!
  4. Hey Ashlynn... it was designed by a childhood friend of mine who is a graphic artist! He designed our invites and monogram for us as a wedding gift! Here's a link to our invites...http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ve-them-50393/ He has his own design company if you're interested in contacting him...I believe I put a link to it later on in this thread!

I've heard that the ceremony will be in Spanish and will be translated. My FI intend on writing our own vows and doing a sand ceremony...maybe it will make the ceremony a little longer...although, it will be high sun so maybe not too long Question for my fellow Bahia Brides....what do you intend on having your guests do between the ceremony and the reception? My intention is to just tell people they have a few hours to them selves. People can snooze, nap, head to the lobby bar! Is anyone doing a cocktail reception before? Can't believe it's 5 months away!!
  6. Beautiful! Can't wait to see more pictures! Hey question for you...did your ceremony start on time? Just wondering about how the timing usually works in the Dominican!
  7. I haven't had to pack my bag quite yet but have a review about BODY GLIDE! It's amazing! I used it during my Running Clinic and my instructor told us about the great benefits for Chub Rub...I've also used it on my feet with new shoes...NO BLISTERS! You can pick it up at any Running Room location!
  8. These are a few pictures of what mine will be like...they will have coral and pink plumeria flowers rather than just the pink! Can't wait to recieve them!
  9. Awesome and a very detailed post to boot! This will be super helpful for those in the invitation phase! Amazing what you can do with a little time!
  10. Wow...beautiful dresses...looks like they have super movement! They will be great dancing dresses!
  11. Here are some tips that I just found on the internet: Wardrobe - Try to have at least 8-10 changes. Sometimes, a nice dress shirt belonging to your fiancé/husband/boyfriend is nice and makes the photos very personal. Also, jerseys from a favorite team either he himself, or both of you share. If he is into any certain sports like hunting, golf, snowboarding, etc. possibly bringing some sort of prop to identify this sport will be good. Additionally, fun little outfits such as corsets, heels, lacy lingerie are always a favorite wardrobe choice when doing boudoir photographs. Hair – Wearing hair down is always best for this type of shoot. Because you will be moving around so much and laying on your back, holding your head up by your hand (which puts your hand in your hair), and even possibly getting your hair wet in a pool or bathtub… it’s always best to wear it down so you are not constantly fixing it during the shoot. Makeup – I encourage all of my models to go heavy on your foundation, powder, bronzer, and blush. You’ll also need your powder throughout the day to reduce the shine that develops as we work. Additionally, I suggest that you go very heavy and dark on the lids of your eyes and either do light liner or no liner at all on the lower lid. Heavier than usual on the mascara is always good too. Lastly bring several different shades of lipstick; dark mattes, frosts, and glosses are the best. Most importantly, when doing boudoir photography, you want to have fun and feel relaxed. The more comfortable you are, the better your photos will turn out! I've booked my shoot for March 27th! Time to hit the gym hard and eat clean! I think I'm going to do a cleanse for the month before! Very exciting but nerve wracking a bit too!
  12. Sandals all the way! We lucked out finding ours at Macy's at an end of summer sale for $10! We will be sending the GM's a picture of my FI's and asking them to get their own brown flip flops. I want them to be comfortable and sandals are tricky for guys. Just like for my BM's, I'm asking them to get a silver sandal but chose a fit and shoe that's comfortable for them.
  13. I think I was invited before but I can't find the invite...could I be invited again? [email protected] Thanks!
  14. Wonderful photos! Congrats! It would be hard to chose the best ones!
  15. Thanks for updating me onto the list! Can't wait to be a part of this neat BDW tradition!
  16. These are my shoes...in silver! Definitely vote for these! They are super comfy...I've been wearing them around the house for the last few weeks! Would love to know what you choose?
  17. Thanks ladies...it's nice to know what the pricing is out there! For those that made their own books...where did you do it through and did you use touched up prints?
  18. I bought mine through Craig's List! I haven't taken a picture of it yet...will post pictures when I do. I got it for $50! Great tip about the white swim suit! Thanks! HAPPY HUNTING!
  19. Hey Ladies...just wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what your boudoir sessions with a book ended up costing? Trying to figure out if the price I've been given is a good one! Too me it seems like too much!
  20. I would have a couple extra...just to be sure! Personally I would hate it if someone didn't get one...you might have some people want a couple! Looks very tasty! I know at my FSIL's wedding, people were having a couple each. Although she did order a whole bunch!
