  1. Hey Ladies...so I've just put together our mailing that we're sending to our guests 3 months before the trip. We sent our invitations in September to give lots of notice. I thought this would be good timing considering final payments are due at the end of April. Of course...much love and appreciation to all those who posted pictures and templates! Couldn't have done it without you! In the mailing, I've included a brochure that tells a lot about our trip, important details about the timing of the wedding and travel tips. Also, I made luggage tags for the guests using VISTA PRINT business cards. When I received them tonight I used some of the extra invitation paper I had to back them to make them a little bigger to fit the name badge holders which I bought from Staples. The luggage tag loops came from a dealer on EBAY, Clear Luggage Tag (worm) Loops for laminating pouches - eBay (item 230451322160 end time Mar-25-10 21:37:10 PDT), and I totally wish I had of used this guy for the tags too! I probably paid to much at Staples but you live and learn right?! I have 50 of the loops that I'll be selling after the wedding for you ladies out there. To add a bit of detail I printed our monogram on sticker paper from Staples and cut them out to make a seal on the back of the envelope. The flip flop stickers came from Michaels scrap-booking section. Here are some pictures: If anyone wants bigger pictures of the brochure...send me a PM! Cheers!
  2. Awesome job! Love how detailed you were with everything! Congrats and good luck with the big day!
  3. I think she means creating a sticky for each common DIY project where people could post their various templates.
  4. My shoot is coming up this Saturday! I can't believe it's come so soon! Thanks for all of the great tips ladies. Here are the outfits I'm planning - Black Bustiere with Garter Belt with Thigh High Stockings and Tall Black Boots - Black and Pink Nightie with matching thong with black pumps - Leafs Jersey with white thong - Midnight Blue Nightie - Black one piece (reminds me of a Lady Gaga outfit) with red pumps - DIY bride tank top with white thong I think I'm set...here's a link to the photographers site! He's doing a marathon and there are four other BDW brides doing the shoot this weekend too! http://www.renaissancestudios.ca/#im...nk%20Boudoir/1

  6. Great idea...it would be really helpful! Especially because the templates don't always come up in your searches!
  7. I'm still searching...too funny! I bet if I just created something myself I'd be done by now! Come on ladies...I know someone has made a sticker template!
  8. Hey Ladies...I just searched through this entire thread, the DIY, and couldn't find a template that someone has posted for creating DIY Tissue Packs. I've bought the packs of tissue from Dollarrama and would now like to make stickers to put on them to personalize them. Has anyone done this? I would really appreciate any help here...I'm on a DIY roll right now! Mailings are ready to go out this week! Thanks in advance!
  9. I wanted to make some shirts for my girls and I to wear the morning of the wedding and here they are. I found the Iron Ons at Michaels for $1 a piece and just found the tanks 2 for $10 at Old Navy in the states. The colours are perfect and match the colours of the girls dresses. I'm really happy with how they turned out! Now onto the Mothers shirts...for those I got white t's ($5 from Old Navy), a butterfly decal ($2 from Michaels) and iron on transfer paper. I just messed up one of the shirts...our iron had some black stuff on it but I will post pictures once I buy another t-shirt
  10. The shipping that I've recieved so far has been pretty much right on the estimates...in fact usually a few days before! It's great to be able to got with the 21 day option for the price alone! I just ordered our welcome letter for our OOT bags and tags which I'll be using for luggage tags and gift tags for some of the items in our bags. Gotta love VISTA! 11. Hey Ladies...I voted for the last week in April but on second thought earlier in the month would be better. I just can't do the 16th as it's the date of my first Bridal Shower! All the events are going to start coming up quickly! Looking forward to choosing a date and seeing you all, and some new faces, again!
  12. Okay you Toronto/Canadian ladies...just got a message from Sue at H2 Promotions and she said that I could pass on her email to those interested brides! Her email is [email protected] and let her know that Sarah from Toronto sent you her way! She is really excellent to work with and we'll search out what you're looking for. Good luck!
  13. That's right! Guys just don't get it! You're so right though...we are going to look so hot in our dresses! Feeling better now! Just one more sleep till holidays!
  14. For sure ladies and I have relaxed about it. We are going to buy an outfit for him and whether he comes or not it's no skin of my back. I guess if I reflect on why I'm being a pain about this situation...at the root is probably the fact that I just plain don't like the guy. He's a jerk to his wife and kids. I've never hung out with them once without them fighting or overreacting towards their kids. In the grand scheme of things, this means nothing and there is not point getting worked up about it. Being honnest, the planning process is all consuming (in a great way) and it's hard for me to keep hearing about the "possibility" that things are going as planned. Thanks for the advice ladies...sometimes it's just nice to get things off of your chest!
  15. I'm so sorry to hear about this! Whenever a child is sick, it's so devesting! I'll be keeping you and your friends in my prayers...it really does make all the little details and annoyances in wedding planning seem so insignificant. I hope she gets better soon!
  16. Alright ladies...here it is...my first BDW vent! Here it goes (so glad that you're all here to listen to me): Last summer when we got engaged my FI and I had decided to have 4 people each in our bridal parties. This would make things nice and even and wouldn't be too hugefor our DW. We asked all of our friends and things were rolling along nicely. So one evening I come home in the summer and my FI starts talking about how he is so happy that his friend is going to be a GM! Pardon, I said? So frustrating...he had asked another guy! I was pissed for a moment but we got over that hump and I ended up asking one more girl friend of mine to even up the sides...I bet you can see where this is going! Last week, my FI got a call from this GM, they live in Edmonton, saying that they most likely will not be able to attend the wedding because of family troubles. No problem...I was a bit annoyed but I really don't like the guy and his wife and over the last couple weeks had gotten pretty used to the idea that they wouldn't be coming. We're shopping for the GM outfits next week while we're down south, so we wanted to make sure that he knew even if he did come he wouldn't be in the bridal party. So tonight, my FI says he's got good news...he just talked with the Ex-GM and there is still a chance they will be coming. At this point, I'm so tired of having this discussion and my FI was like well he could just get his own outfit....am I being a b***h? I said no way....I want them all to be matching! Just any pair of khaki's simply won't do! After a bit of a shouting match, I finally suggested that we will buy him an outfit and we'll just have it in case. Being a type A personality and someone who likes things to be planned in advance this is killing me! Alright...I feel better now! Just Breathe!
  17. Only 2 more sleeps till MARCH BREAK! Heading towards warmer weather!
  18. Opps...sorry! I will try contacting the lady I was dealing with and see what's up. I'm going to also check and see if helping out other brides is something she'd be interested in. As I mentioned she does do all the promotional stuff for Rogers and Labatts so she might not want a bunch of little jobs...will let you know though! Thanks for your patience!

I'll definitely be checking out the new Toronto store. How exciting! Thanks Renee! Can't wait to see what dress you choose! I'm so happy with my choice!
  20. Thanks for sharing the lipbalm stickers...we're making a trip to Sam's Club next week...hopefully we can find bulk chapstick w SPF! Thanks again and everything looks superb!

I know...I laughed today when I had a little peak at where you live...I know I'd seen it before but had forgotten! We've been going to Hilton Head for years...it will be nice to see green grass and flowers again after a cold Toronto winter! Just like you I don't fill out the top; who do they make these dresses for, Pamela Anderson? Also, the length is way too long! I think I'll take it in a bit at the hip too because when the corset was tied it wasn't super tight and it was all the way closed...have to see what the professionals say. I want to see some pics of your shoes!
  22. Hey...sorry I should have attached their website. They usually deal with really big clients but you could always contact them to see if they could find something for you. I was put in touch with them through a mother of one of the kids I teach. Here's the website: www.h2team.ca
  23. We're doing our own photos! My Mom has a wicked camera and one of her good friends has taken up photography...I've sent her links to a bunch of great DW photographers slideshows and I'm not too worried about it! Everyone I've talked to that is my age, 25-30, says "how could you not have a professional take the photos?" but everyone of my parents generation says don't waste your money! Really you end up putting one or two of the photos on the wall and the rest stay in an album or on a computer disk. I've seen a bunch of friends wedding albums who had professionals take the photos and they're nothing too special! My FI and I are fairly photogenic and with the beautiful backdrop I'm sure we'll get a few shots that we'll want to frame. That's my rationale for not spending thousands on a photographer...anyone else?
