  1. sometimes my scale does that too... so in the morning when I weigh myself I do it like three times and then take the one that shows up more than once... I hate that!
  2. I know that the ceremony is only about 15 minutes! We aren't doing a cocktail hour, simply because our ceremony is at 6:00 p.m. We will just have the supper at about 7:30 or so! So as far as a cocktail hour I couldn't tell you how I'm doing it... it depends on whether or not you are having a reception dinner because if you wanted a gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour, you might be cutting it close to the dinner. ALTHOUGH, it would be kind of neat to go from a cocktail hour to dinner! Haha there is my little ramble... so I guess in the end I would have a gap if I wanted to enjoy my own cocktail hour, but if it didn't mater to me and was more for the guests, I would do it right after. It depends on what your goal is
  3. Jocy, no I'm not Jewish! They use a very similar setup at Majestic, so I think it doesn't matter what your religion is... its gorgeous!! jmcaulay- most of us from what I gather are doing a private reception, which takes place (usually) on a terrace of a restaurant, the beach or a ballroom. What is a deciding factor is how many people you have, since they accommodate anywhere from 40 people, to 100 people, to unlimited. If your wedding party is going to be 20 people or more, it is probably a good idea to have a private reception! You can have it just like a reception at home, with music and dancing; or you can do what I am doing, is having the dinner, some drinks and then hitting the disco for the dancing until the wee hours of the morning!
  4. I think the email I just sent it to was yours Tam, let me know that you got it You are very welcome Jen
  5. Have a great wedding week Ash!! We will all be waiting for the pictures!!
  6. Ok so there is another option, its called a huppa... its like the Jewish use to get married under it, but its GORGEOUS! We found out that it costs $350 decorated with flowers, and $150 if its just the white linens.. personally i like the basic white linens, I am getting married on the beach after all and its gorgeous!! BD Pictures are boudoir pictures... you can give them to your hubby just before you get married, and they are sexy lemme tell ya! They are tastefully done, with lingerie or partially nude if you so desire! There are examples in the general information section of the site, under photos and something else! Let me know if you want to see pics of the huppa, and leave me your email so I can send em

  10. Tara!! You HAVE to do BD pics... you don't have to have the "perfect" body to do it, since obviously your FI loves you how you are and finds you sexy!! I didn't think I would do it, but now I'm excited about it!!
  11. on this website : Beach Theme Wedding Favors, Weddings Decoration Accessories, Wedding Ideas, Bridal Reception, Bridesmaids Jewelry, Groomsmen Gifts they have these things that look like sandals but they are just beads... it looks pretty neat!

I'm getting married on the beach too! Victorias Secret has some cute wedge sandals that are pretty cheap! Cogswellgrey -You could always get some from Aldo or something of you wanted something more fancy. We were going to go barefoot, but we are thinking that the sand might be too hot... so we are doing flip flops!
  13. I am considering having a family member or friend do it... dont feel like spending MORE money! haha
  14. Did you hit a plateau before you hit 20? I'm at one now and I am trying to figure out how to break through!
  15. Toya if you go to the top there is a heading that says vbPlaza Menu, and one of the options is "bank"... go in there and then you can deposit into your bank!
  16. Our stories are only going to get worse I think.. One of my friends and her husband live here in Florida and the in-laws are from Canada... and they are on no-speaking terms!! There are so many issues for them, and they havent even been married that long! The MIL is a total b*tch apparently, ad very overbearing!!
  17. I actually did it yesterday ALMOST, and by accident! I didn't know about it until late last night when I was reading in bed!! It is a lot though... we should build up to it!
  18. Ebredhawk- that is fantastic news!! I will be drawing up a plan for sure, so that I can have it as I want! It depends on how many guests we have, but it is worth doing! We can choose our setup for the tables at the reception too, right? I might do the cupcake thing too, if I don't have too many guests!!
  19. Toya that is a good plan... lol what are you thinking of for the gift?
  20. Neither did Ben until about a month ago! He goes, "Oh, REALLY?" hahaha
