We are getting married at DPC, and are doing a symbolic about 1 1/2 before the ceremony down south... only because they only do civil ceremonies here on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month... otherwise, we would have done it closer to the date!!

Good WC you got there!!! I'm waiting to hear back about our wedding date from Deyanira, since now we have to change it (La Barcaza isn't available on July 2nd) Crossing my fingers! Actually, a July 1st wedding would be cool for us... CANADA DAY!

Erin were you able to pick what time you were being picked up at, or did they assign it to you? Flori told me they would pick us up at 4:30, I thought it was a little early..

yes I would definitely agree with the other ladies. I know what you mean about reporting it, what else could happen; but the fact is it is unsanitary and disgusting. Perhaps the builder can be held responsible for the actions of his workers in another forum, i.e. an organization that oversees a code of ethics for workers or something? Take pictures of the mess they made with a time and date stamp, so that in the event the builder comes back and says "that wasn't MY guys" you can present him with some proof. I don't think they can lock you out of your own home either...

Tamara, I don't think they updated the website properly... The info we are referring to is what we have gotten from the WC; Toya got info that the gold dinner was $650 for 20 people, and I was told $800 for 20 people. I'm going with La Barcaza now anyway, cause its a price under contract and can't change!!

Adrians Mommy I haven't seen any recent reviews of girls on here... you will have to get the ball rolling when you get back! I know Deyanira told me that the $15 setup fee applies for receptions on the beach and in the Santo Domingo plaza... dont know about the music thing though!

yeah exactly... I feel really ripped off about Dreams right now... I mean I know I will be happy once I get there because the place is fantastic, but I picked it partially because it was more cost effective that other resorts' wedding packages! Oh well, something is working against me (us all) on this, is it a sign that we aren't supposed to do it or something? ? ? hahahaha Are your grandparents witnessing your wedding? We don't know who we are asking to be our witnesses yet, since our legal ceremony thing is top secret to our guests! Are you guys exchanging rings at your legal? We aren't, since for us it isn't our "real" wedding (even though it is...? haha)

Toya I thought the EXACT same thing... and there is even a little note at the bottom of the "wedding extras" page that says "prices valid for 2010" and it shows $490... I have no idea whats going on! I am seriously looking into La Barcaza... at least whatever the price is you sign a contract for that price and they can't change it on you 6548645168484 times! What is the price of the gold dinner going to be by the time you and I get married? I don't even want to know! And because of the price hikes, B and I are back to a symbolic ceremony for good... we got our legal date this morning, JUNE 18TH 2010 (hahaha Toya!) at 12:30pm. B even said we should just go in our sweatpants... haha ok I'm all about comfort but a girls gotta look good ya know?!?! haha
