  1. We thought about it, but since we only have 2 out of 20 guests coming who are French speaking, we decided to forgo it... good luck in finding that though, its a great idea!! bonne chance ma belle!
  2. oh and by the way, which IKEA?! I lived in Montreal with my FI for years, on the South Shore
  3. aww thats so cute! I like the impromptu phone call to your Mom.. what a cutie! And your ring is GORGEOUS!
  4. I plan on virtually staying out of the sun before my wedding, but thats only 2 days.. so no big deal! The baking soda trick is interesting though, gotta say!!
  5. I tend to agree with what some of the other ladies have said... if you can afford it, and truly want to do it, then do it! But it can't be an ongoing guilt trip of sorts, like roo66 said. It can't be an "I did thiis so the least she can do is..." situation. If you are prepared for her to perhaps refuse it, or give it to her with no strings or expectations attached, go for it. I have found myself in the position that my friend said she couldn't afford to go because she was moving back to our city (she lives far away) and I understood... until the other day when she emailed me to tell me she was "so excited" for two of our friends to fly out and they were going to Vancouver for 5 days! Really hurtful. So like someone else said (I think it was roo66 again) be ready for the fact that the friend just might make a big purchase or book a trip equal to the cost to go to your wedding... I never thought she would do this, and she has!!
  6. yeah no kidding! I will try to weigh in for the final while I'm down there, but for me its more about staying on track up until my wedding I'm getting exciiiiiited!
  7. Hey dear! What ebay seller did you use for the lanterns? They are awesome I have orange and white but the turquoise interests me!
  8. Oh Erin that is so awesome!! Congrats on having every piece of the puzzle fall into place like it should have all along... what a buzzer beater! hahaha
  9. Oh Erin I hope it all works out for you!! I have to agree with the judge, I think that it would be great for her to visit a foreign country at a young age, what a cultural eye-opener to how other people live, and to how lucky she is to live in America. I think that its more about vreating a fight (for your FI's ex) than anything else... since I'm sure she wouldn't mind her daughter going with HER to the DR! Keep us posted to what happens; and by the way, your hair flowers are AWESOME!!
  10. Toya that sounds like my AHR! Pretty relaxed, I will wear my dress to make the entrance and take pictures then change into a short white dress to have some fun! Nothing too formal... we too are having our AHR(s) close to when we come back. One AHR is July 17 and the other is July 24 (two different cities). By the way, I'm excited to see your pictures of this gorgeous dress!
  11. I'm getting my BD pics done in May, I can't wait! Does anyone here have any ideas for something uniquely Dominican for kissing? I mean, Mexico has maracas and the glass clinging is a little bit common... thoughts? I'm trying to get stickers printed but don't have an inkjet printer... apparently laser would melt the glue or something crazy? haha
  12. yay how exciting, and what a story! Your ring is gorgeous, great pick on the resort... how I missed this one I'll never know, I'm super jealous actually Have a great wedding, bring back pictures!!!
  13. I'm glad to hear this, since we are still looking at how many bags we have to take and were worried about coming with too many!!
  14. yeah LeAnne, you rocked You were one of the omly ones that was on a steady downward slope I think! I'm doing the same thing Renee, right after Easter weekend... hahaha LadyTrunck, thats a good long run! We will be moral support for each other along the way.... lol
  15. I suggest you wear the same outfit for both the initial weigh in and the final weigh in so you can see the difference! Are far as what the outfit is, its whatever you are comfortable in as long as Renee can see what you general shape is (i.e. no baggy clothes works best!) I'm getting psyched up for this season, since I'm getting married myself just before the end of the competition, and I'm running my first 10K race at the end of May... so I need to be working out lots!
  16. Yahoo Leanne, good for you chicky! As promised, here are this season's final results. I wish we had kept more girls on board, but it is what it is I guess! Hopefully with some of the changes we can keep more people motivated... hmmm lets all help out on this one, lots of suggestions and challenges should do it! BIGGEST LOSER SEASON 8 RESULTS!! Sgt Pepperette: -1.71% Oryx: -2.92 % Sapphire723: -7.55% SheriB: -4.29% Futuremissbk: -5.31% Bachatabride: -1.64% And our Season's winner is.. SAPPHIRE723 (aka LeAnne)!!! LeAnne lost an amazing 7.55% this season, and from wehat she says she lost her "vacation" weight, which would giver her an even higher percentage! WAY TO GO LEANNE! I hope you keep going with Season 9, I will be participating for sure, since I will be actually on my honeymoon for the final weigh-in... haha I might have to get a hold of a scale or something down there... LOL! Rock on ladies, thanks for participating!!
  17. 367.24 + 4.66 = 371.90 We are really adding them up, aren't we?! I am running a 10K in May, my first race ever! I am getting psyched up, lemme tell ya!
  18. I misplaced the results, so I have to recalculate them! BUT... the winner seriously kicked ass!
  19. hahah Erin I believe we both did, I had some wicked ones there for a while! I am interested to see Kim's thoughts about the beach too, looked fantastic!!
  20. thats a good idea for the picture... it made it hard for people! But at the same time, I think that the results should not be posted until all the pictures are in... just so we know everyone is being honest
