The distance from the airport was one of the negatives for me after choosing DPC. Not sure about why there would be any negative comments on the WC, as I always had prompt responses from mine. People need to keep in mind that there are weddings going on everyday, all day and that the WC aren't always sitting infront of their computers all day. SOme of the rooms do need to be updated, for sure DPB is a lot nicer, not sure about DLR.

crap, I totally forgot about it!!! My mind is not working so well this week...

We got married at Dreams Punta Cana. The beach is not the greatest right infront of the resort is not the greatest, but to the left it is nicer. I can send you beach pics if you would like. I did hear that D. palm beach has a nicer beach, but I haven't been there and not sure about La Romana either.. The hotel was at capacity when we were there apparently and you'd never know it.. it's pretty big, has a huge pool and lots of chairs. We chose this resort as our neighbours had stayed there and raved about it and their kids program.

What a loser I am!! I never really checked the dates, I only saw the last couple of posts dates... I have been to Stephenville a few times and Lipan is where we stay at my in-law's ranch. I like going to the square in Granbury, it's cute. Small world. Where are you in-laws from?

Sorry, I pasted the wrong link.. didn't realize it was for her own products. Try this one: Paula's Books: Paula's Choice Skin Care & Cosmetics

Anyways, I would really love to hear some feedback on wrinkle cream--even if it's just what NOT to use--after all, anti-aging stuff is expensive, so I'd love to hear what to avoid too! I saw that on Dr. Oz yesterday too.. they said it was good for an OTC cream. Check out this website: Paula's Books: Paula's Choice Skin Care & Cosmetics Paula Begoun researches every cream, make up product etc.. She's the one who writes the books "Don't go to the make-up counter without me" etc...

I forgot to say, I use a lot of Estee Lauder products and one of the good ones is their advanced repair night serum... I'm only 33, so I don't use it all the time, but if I think of it, I put it on just where I think I'm getting lines... Also, Clinique has a good product for shrinking pores... can't remember the name right now but I think it's good for wrinkles too. You could always try to get some samples first from the counters too to try them all out.

My Mom uses Christian Dior 60/80... you should look up face creams on this website: Shop Paula's Choice Skin-Care: Paula's Choice Skin Care & Cosmetics. Not sure if you've heard of her, but she researches tons of different products, what's good, what's bad, high end, low end etc. Paula has been around for a long time and really knows her products. She's also on tv all the time (Dr. OZ actually yesterday) but I have seen her for years. Totally off topic, your daughter is adorable! And, I actually know people who live in Stephenville and Lipan!! My in-laws and their kids.

What's going on girls Page 2?? You all must be very busy planning!! I can't remember if Deyanira announced us or anybody for that matter... I know the trio played "here comes the bride" when we walked up to the terrace, but the rest I sadly am not sure about... how bad is that when it's only been a month.. -
Dreams, Punta Cana brides - FOOD question
Tam replied to AngMarie113's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
We had the platinum food package. Honestly I didn't think it was all that great, but I was also feeling quite sick during dinner (not because of it)!! Most of our guests thought it was good, but I expected better for what you pay to get it. The wedding cake was good though... I just thought the lobster tower was gross... it's really not a tower, but rather a blob of avocado, onion and tiny pieces of lobster. The lobster tail itself was kind of mushy (which I hate in lobster) and the beef was good, I just didn't like the sauce .. The hotel food overall, was pretty good though. Hope this helps -
Travelling with a wedding dress

The thing I'm most concerned about regarding the steamer is that the dress won't dry out - because of the humidity, once its steamed, will it stay damp? Is that a silly concern? BTW, the dress is satin with chiffon overlay - the satin is the part I'm concerned about. Has anyone used a steamer in a damp climate with good (and dry!) results? I travelled with it in the garment bag. On the plane, they put it in the overhead compartment on top, laying flat. I just hung it up right away once we got there (in the bag) and left it... You should be fine with letting it sit in the steam .... mine was. GOod luck. -
For all you Canadian girls, esp. Ontarians, we got married the day before we left with my parents as our witnesses. We didn't tell anyone else though people did ask.. I tried to avoid answering rather than lying. I also went online to apply for the marriage certificate ($15) and within a week, got it back! Pretty quick I think. We are celebrating our symbolic day as our anniversary, not the legal day...

Maybe front desk did it if everyone else's card is getting charged too... hopefully no one is going on a nice shopping spree. I never did have my card charged until we checked out and although I gave my card to hold our date, we used my DH's card to pay and had no problem. Unfortunately, we just got the statement!! We did not have any problems with any extra charges either...we looked. GOod luck buddy! -

Do you still have any left? -
Awesome looking diet,.. looks pretty easy to follow, thanks for sharing! i am going to try it.
-
I would go and get it looked at too... it could be a number of different things. Does it feel sore on the gum or more like tooth pain? If it's gum, it could just be from the crown prep (sometimes your gums get cut/ pushed around) or the crown could be too long and is pushing on your gum. If it's tooth pain, it could be your tooth/ligament are bruised from the RCT. .. or if your tooth was infected, it could still be the area is healing... often anti-inflamatories are prescribed (like advil/motrin)... or anitbiotics... either way go get it looked at and if you think it's your gums, try rinsing with warm salt water to help with healing... hope this helps and good luck. PS, I used to be a dental assistant and am now a dental hygienist just so you know I'm not pulling this from thin air!!

Jamie Jamie, You shouldn't have any problems with using the pastor over the WC, they only do it because there's no one else but the judge but I would double check on that. FOr any wedding package, they count everyone including the B&G. -
I would agree with bobbysgirl. It is pretty strenuous and intense. I would be safe and stick with a video designed for pregnancy. I saw some at future shop when I bought the shred video the other day.
-
Ok, I bought the shred at futureshop yesterday and did level one. Today, every muscle in my body hurts (in a good way), but seriously, I am sore!! I have been going to curves and work out on my eliptical all the time so I am surprised at how sore I am... didn't do it today though.. but will get back to it tomorrow.. afterall, it's only 20 min right

Thank you all! No, we didn't. We had a friend take our pics, there's enough that turned out ok, and we're going to get a coffee table book made.. honestly though, I would get a professional IMO if I got to do it again. When I look at what we have, I realize there's a lot missing of people I wanted pics with.. even some with my parents etc. and you can't get that time back... not my photog's fault, just lack of experience. I still may do a boudoir shoot too as a surprise for my DH, but I want to get in better shape for it!! -
