  1. Funny because at first when I read your post, I thought for sure you should not pay for anyone who chooses to stay somewhere else. However, with your cousin and the one extra person I think it's a very kind gesture on your part and may even alleviate some stress off your cousin.... good luck.
  2. I'm going to assume they are sold, but if for any reason they are not, I'll take them and can even pick them up. Just starting to look on ebay now for them.
  3. Klee, where did you get your spanish for dummies books?

Did you lose any or have any of your own lashes rip out?
  6. I love mac too. I think I am going to go anyways so I have the exact makeup I want.. and besides, a new life should at least deserves new makeup right?? That way I can just have my guest apply it if I need to... Have you guys ever tried false eyelashes?? I was thinking of getting them for down there or at least that day.

I am not sure about who's doing my hair yet, if it's going to be simple than I will do it or have help. I am going to my hairdresser in Dec to decide what I would like to do. I am still trying to decide too if I want a veil or flower. I bought a veil, but now I am rethinking it... As for makeup, one of my guests works for clinique, so I am going to ask her, otherwise, I was going to go to Mac and have a consult/lesson.
  8. Ashley, do you want the one with the wedding packages and food?

I might have to replicate it..
  10. Hey, does anyone know about the $300 surcharge for the judge? Does that mean that that is really just the judge's fee?? or is that ontop of the fee?
  11. Thank you Toya! I haven't had any problems getting emails back from Deyanira ... usually within a few days, infact, just got one today and I had forgotten I sent her one. She confirmed that she's going to perform the ceremony at 3 and get the judge to sign the papers later on... Are any of you doing that??
  12. I think a lunch or dinner is a great idea... we are doing a rehersal dinner too. Don't pay attention to your WC. If you have loose ends, get them done during the day and enjoy your evening! It's your day, not hers.

Is this in the attachments you sent me Toya??
  14. Hey Ladies, Just an FYI from an email I sent to a woman from tripadvisor about DPC: She just got back from there for her daughter's wedding, so I asked her a couple of questions..here's her response: Hi We did the disco after dinner - the wedding party celebrated till after 4:00 a.m.!! We had the free package and added on the dinner & extra champagne - there were 27 of us, and there is only enough champagne for 10. Same with the cake...however, they served it to everyone and we were not charged extra. We had the gold dinner - the food choices at that level were more appealing to us than what the platinum level offerred. The reception was on the Himitsu terrace - it was beautiful - they had a private bar set up (no charge), and wait staff poured wine throughout the entire meal (no charge). They also had beautiful cocktails waiting for us when we arrived on the terrace! (nice touch!) They had the ceremony on the beach ($300 surcharge), and the ENTIRE bill came to U.S. $1264!!!! Totally a great deal! Enjoy your wedding!!! My daughter had the exact wedding she had always pictured! NOt sure if this will help anyone, but just some more ideas for those (like me) trying to keep costs down.
  15. Good!! I didn't check the dates and was wondering what happened when I saw the post.. I even just went and was looking on tripadvisor for wedding pics for the iberostar bavaro!! Now I am going to go and look at OUR hotel for any new pics..
  16. We have been dating just over 3 years, living together for 2 of those 3.

Toya and Nat, That's what I was thinking of doing too... I don't want to have to pay the extra esp just for an hour..It would be different if you didn't have time constraints, but I would rather just do the basic, I think??
  18. I haven't even started on my AHR!! Kinda forgot about that. My hotel is booked, dress bought and that is about it... really got to get on this... maybe this weekend when I'll have the house to myself.. starting to panick again!!
  19. ebredhawk, I love your bags!! Was it expensive to get done?

Less expensive and you know what you are getting...especially with some of those super ugly linens that DPC offers...YUK!
  21. For all you brides in Toronto, there is a place called "the bride's project". They take new and used donations and all proceeds go to women's cancer research. They also have a website, but I'm not sure what it is exactly.
  22. Toya, I can't see any of your links... do I have to sign up for that website? I received my confirmation from Deyanira tonight... our ceremony will be at 3:00, I guess she will perform it and then the judge will come after to sign the papers... to which brings me back to if that's how it is going to be, then I could just get married at city hall once we're home and save a little more $$$.... I could drive myself crazy with this...
