I was concerned when I saw the pictures too. I do not understand why they would put the beach ceremony so close to the bar area.

Okay new concern for me not sure if anyone of you have thought about this yet. I am thinking about doing the reception on the beach. By wedding is at 6 which I am hoping I am going to be able to move it up to 5. But my concern is that it is going to be really dark on the beach during the reception. I am assuming that they will have lighting but I wonder how much. I would hate to all be sitting at tables in the dark with a couple of spot lights up. Anyone have any ideas how this all works out?

Who has put down their depoist for their wedding yet?? What package did you end up going with and why? Also are you paying for it in full or waiting until you get to Mexico to complete your payment? J/W

Sorry girls I have not been on much. My son got sick and I was taking care of him all week. Excited to see all of the brides booking at the resort. I have not booked my wedding package yet. But like some have said. I am also going to go with the middle package and just add on extra's. As for the goody bags for guest. I was thinking about getting a labeled koozie. You can have your beers cold by the pool. I also was thinking about getting some just plan t shirts and do some bedazzling for my bridesmaids. I might even find some cheap swimsuits and put bridesmaids on the bottom. I am ready for all of that fun stuff to come up. I am tired of all the booking rooms and wedding package stuff. But good news we are going to get our engagement pictures done this weekend. Lots hope for no rain!!

I am in the process of booking 10 rooms. Then hopefully more people will get interested after I send out save the dates. If you have sent out your std do you people something in them to rsvp.?

Okay girls I hope you can help me out. I am getting married May 21 in Mexico. I made a my personal wedding website. Now I am working on the save the dates. I have looked through the boarding pass and passport invites stickies. I like the passport idea. I think I want to use it as a save the date. And maybe put a magnet in it just to have it for my guest. But here is the problem. I do not have any clue how to make them. I want to do them myself. Is there some type of template that you use for them. Do you buy the passport books already made and then put paper in it with the info.? I read through all the post and they all look great. Is there any step by step ways to make them. I am not to crafty. Then after you send out these save the dates then you send out a invite for the wedding? How long after do you do this? Which I want to do the message in the bottle. Thanks so much I am kind of stressing about this all.

I know it did not make much sense putting it in that location. I can't wait to see a wedding done on the beach. I wonder what kind of decor there will be for the beach ceremony.

Did you girls see the gazebo yet? They put chairs in front of it. I guess it did help the look some. Look on facebook.

I just figured it would be easier to do it that way. Also my t.a mentioned that if I put the depoist down and guest backed out. I would not loose that money it could go towards my stay. But I dont know it seems like I cant get a straight answer anymore. It is kind of stressful. I think it is b/c the resort is not open yet. It is very hard to communicate with anyone.

Just an update ladies on girls booking a group rate. This is what my t.a. just sent me. I am pretty upset about it all. I dont understand why us brides should not get the promotion. Here is the email that was sent to me. Hi Megan, Dreams has revised the promo as of last Friday. I was on the phone with my groups department as well as Dreams trying to get some clarification. I am trying to get clarification as to if we can use this NOW with your wedding group. The revision was that it does not pertain to groups and that if your group requires special services, the resort sales manager needs to be informed. Very vague in their remarks - thus the reason we are trying to get clarification again on this. And, they just received the revision late Friday and Dreams revised the promo on their website over the weekend. Now, Dreams is saying it pertains to incentive groups, business meetings that require meeting space such as audio/visual equipment, special catering in the meeting room, etc....... We are arguing with them that you are not an incentive group, you will not have food catered into the meeting room, etc...... This promotion is only for social groups and does not include groups that need special services such as meeting space, events, food & beverage, etc, etc, etc. "They giveth and they taketh away". I did speak directly to Dreams on Friday and this weekend and I am sending those notes over to my supplier today. So, just hang on until we get clarification from the Director of Sales at Dreams. I will let you girls know how this is resolved. I do not really see any point of putting a depoist for all of my guest if I do not get anything out of it.
