Hello my wedding will be May 21 at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa. My question is we just booked a garden view cheapest room. I hoped that I would get a upgrade to a nicer room. We have blocked off 12 rooms and have had all our guest pay in full or about to have it payed. How do I get the resort to upgrade my room for no additional cost? Is there any tricks or does it just happen as curiosity to the bride? I know tipping helps!! But just wondering if any of your past brides went threw this or even the travel agents that have any suggestions. Also is it possible for them to upgrade all of my guest to better rooms?? Thank you

Thanks for the pictures. I would love to read a review of her wedding. I am wondering the same thing if she picked that place because it was raining. Also how did they have that many people in a restaurant? I wonder how much the price is to rent out one of the restaurants. About the golf I am pissed off about that too. I will contacting my TA to see what she can do. She thinks that they are going to have to honor it. We had a contract with them and part of that was the all inclusive golf. It just makes me pretty mad that they would do that.

Okay just wanted to make sure this is true or not. I am going to be going with the love package. Is it okay to not to have the cocktail hour and add more guest onto the dinner for the reception. We are going to have about 7 more guest then what the package offers to include. I was just wondering if this something that is confirmed for sure from Ana. Thanks girls. I hate to email her and bother her with it if it is not true.

I feel so much better now. lol I am usually a person who goes to the extreme of over doing everything. My son's birthday party last week we rented a trackless train for it. He is 3 lol But for some reason when it comes to the wedding. I just do not have the time and honestly the money to go all out. We are paying for our photographer to come and that is taking a lot out of the budget. Thanks alot girls. I feel better.

Thank you girls. Sorry that you are all in the same situation that I am or even worse that your father has passed away. I am going to have my grandfather walk me down the aisle I was really debating on him or my Mom. They have both played such huge roles in my life. I do feel in a way guilty that I did not invite my father to the wedding. But we are not on good terms at all. And my Mother and him do not get a long what so ever. I just want it to be comfortable for everyone. Thanks again ladies for all your kind words.

I have got a go that the resort I will be having the wedding at will play my ipod after the reception at the dance lounge. How much do you suggest that I should tip the dj for doing that. I think it is making the job easier for him but I want to tip him for doing it. How much is a good tip for him? I hope this is the right section for this post. If not I am sorry

Is anyone not going all out with the wedding decorations? I feel like everyone is buying and making their own decorations. I am just wanting it to be pretty simple and easy DW. lol. Is anyone just doing the bare minim of what their wedding package consist of and hope the the beautiful surroundings will make up for the not so extravagant decorations?

Is there anyone not having their Dad walk them down the aisle? My Father will not be attending the wedding because we do not speak anymore. Anyways. How have you dealt with this issue if your Dad is not coming? Who is walking you down the isle? Thanks Megan

I do not think there would be a fee for someone that is actually staying at the resort as a guest to do your makeup. We are bring our own photographer and there is no fee for that. You do not sound like a diva. I actually was talking to a girl that I always buy makeup from at the clinquie counter and I was trying to get her to go to the trip to do my makeup. lol. But with flying our own photographer we just do not have that in the budget and my FI would think I was crazy. What I am going to do is for my bridal photos coming up. I am getting my make up professional done and hair. I am going to take a ton of pics and have them with me when I am at the resort. And hope and pray it turns out good. I am pretty nervous about it too.

Thank you. It must have been having some issues last night because when I went on the suits tab was not there. Another question what is the difference between Irish linen and plain linen?? Does one not wrinkle as bad?

I am a little confused. When I went on line to buy the suit. I do not see the jackets. Am I missing something? I would like to get a whole suit for the wedding.

jfazzina FIrst off you guys are such a cute couple. Second thank you so much for your pictures. I am so glad I picked Dreams. My only question how busy was the resort when you were there? I have a lot of single people coming to the wedding and I am kind of worried there is not going to be a lot of people their to socialize with. Actually one more. I noticed that you just took a pic of the desires lounge outside. Is the bar not open every night? I have not really heard any reviews of the lounge and I was hoping after the reception to have every one go there and dance and have a good time.

I personally would have liked to do a sit down dinner and I think I still will. But I am not to excited about the food that was on the menu. I am pretty picky when it comes to food though. So maybe my guest like that kind of food. Thanks girls for the response about the buffet and the cake. Good to know I could find a picture and she could try to match it. I wonder if that is just for the ultimate package though. SD Beach girl but could you email me that attachment I guess I still do not have enough points.

Girls these are the questions that I just emailed Ana about a week ago and I have not got a response. She gave me a answer but it really did not answer my question. Maybe you girls can help. I am still a little confused about the menu's if I choose to do the love package. I would have to pay extra to get things off of the gold menu. Is that correct? As for the flowers which one of the documents that you sent is included in the love package? Can I choose between any of the bouquets and centerpieces of the pictures you sent me or do only certain ones come with the love package? (She sent me a couple of attachments but did not say which bouquets went with the love package.) Also do you have any of the pictures of the wedding cakes that are included in the love package? Also last question. If I have under 40 people am I able to have the buffet option for reception if so can I get a menu of the options for the buffet? I know those are a lot of questions girls but if you just have one could you let me know. The wedding is getting closer and I am getting a little stressed because I have not picked anything out for the wedding.
