Be prepared for some adjustments if you've never lived with anyone...it's a big change. i'd been living alone for 7 years when FI and I moved in together...it was a big change for both of us. My kits are per bag. so if there is a couple, like husband/wife - they get one OOT bag, one hangover kit but i'll put 2 tshirts in there and 2 of the cups i bought. the single people each get their own bag, so FI's aunt and cousin who are sharing a room, will each get a separate OOT bag. That made sense in my head - if it doesn't to you please tell me I finally got a dress to wear to my "night before" dinner. I have very few clothes from losing weight and everything I own is black, so I've been needing to do this...the problem is there's been hardly any spring/summer stuff out and dresses are hard for me because I only look good in things above my knee, and i'm only 5'4" so things tend to be long. I tried on about 30 dresses today and bought 1... That's funny. My FI snores too, but his snoring doesn't bother me for some reason. I sleep like a baby when he's with me, even if he is snoring. It's everybody else's snoring that bothers me. Weird huh? I know it's going to be an adjustment living with someone. I've lived alone for the past 10 years, ever since I got a job out of college. Except for the few months that I lived with an ex-boyfriend. So, it's definitely going to be an adjustment. But, everything just feels right when we're together. I'm going to do the same thing with my OOT bags. I'm going to give one Hangover kit (I'm gonna call them Survival Kits) in the couple's OOT bags and each single person gets their own. Your dress is very cute. I've done a little shopping while I've been on my work trip here in Florida. Since it's warm here most of the year, they have swimming suits and summer clothes in the stores. They don't have spring or summer stuff out yet in Atlanta either. I've found few things here in Florida (sun dress, swimming suit, swim shoes, capris, short sleeve tops). That's more than a few things isn't it... I just shipped it all to my house today cause I don't want to carry that extra stuff on the plane with me Friday.

I think it'd be more $$ to ship it over as suppose to paying $10 per kg when your over he 44lbs, but it's definitely something to look into, thank you for the suggestion I will look into that now! Michele, did you give your hang over kits to each couple, or each person? Wow, $30 to ship to Canada. If you are going to Wal-Mart, check their travel toiletries section. You know, where they have the small bottles of lotion and hand sanitizer. Occasionally, they have travel size packs of advil or tylenol.
  3. Tracy, Have you tried Minimus.biz for the Tylenol packets? I ordered a bunch of stuff from the site yesterday. The site says they do international shipping, but of course there are the extra fees. You may want to check it out. Glad to hear your room situation is finally taken care of. But, that sucks about the luggage limits on the airline. Can you ship some of your stuff over to your resort before you leave?

We get along really well when we are together. He's stays over lots of weekends and we haven't had too many issues, an occasional disagreement. But, he's a pretty laid back guy.
  5. I bought the Avery clear address labels for my invites and printed them on my inkjet printer. Here is a link to the labels I used Easy Peel Clear Address Labels. You can buy smaller quantity packs at Office Depot or Staples. Word has templates for the Avery labels. I did a mail merge to put my addresses from an Excel spreadsheet onto the labels in the Word document. You can search the help menu in Word on how to use label templates and how to do a mail merge. I suppose you can put clipart on the labels too, but I just chose to do a nice font.
  6. OK… I’m playing catch up again and it’s only been a couple of days since I posted. You girls have really been posting! Suzy, Martez is too cute! My mom slaved in the kitchen for days making seashell cookies from sctarch as favors and homemade Mexican food to eat. Oh and did I mention I got sooooo spoiled! Congrats on your shower. And the food sounds sooo good. My cousin threw a shower for me when I went back home to Illinois over the Thanksgiving Holiday. It was only about 15 of us. I got some very interesting gifts. Two of my cousins there were pastor’s wives (they happen to be sisters); one of them gave me some sexy lingerie and the other gave me sexy lingerie along with a pair of erotic dice. I was shocked to say the least and so was everyone else. It definitely made the evening interesting. We had a great time and the shower was something I was not expecting. Also, most of the ladies there will not be able to make it to the wedding, so it was a way for them to be involved in the wedding stuff. Also, I'm curious what color your wedding dress is. Mine is not white and not a dark ivory, but somewhere in the middle... it's like a creamy colored ivory. FI is giving me such a hard time about what he's wearing and he totally doesn't understand that he can't be more white than me. Congrats on your shower and you should not feel guilty. Glad to hear you got so much done with your Mom too. My dress is also a creamy colored ivory, more like off white. I still have not decided what color shirt my FI is going to wear. I have my first fitting this Saturday, so I’m going to take a piece of the fabric from the dress with me to some stores to see how it looks next to various colors of white and ivory shirts. Then, we'll decide on his color shirt. Quote: Originally Posted by caribbeanLover sasse75 ShortNSweet, your honeymoon sound so perfect. You two will have so much fun just relaxing. It will be nice I am sure to have him for good in your neck of the woods. It'll be so different I am sure, have you guys lived together? I love dolphins (I have a tattoo!!) your so lucky to be going to the cover, pls pls pls take lots of pic and lost them when you get back!!! i'm looking forward to them lol (I wont go swimming with them if they are locked up, and they all are) what if the 2 of you blocked vistaprint until after the wedding!! to hard for you guys? Tracy, no we have never lived together. The longest we’ve stayed together in the same place is maybe two weeks at a time. If we go to Discovery Cove, I will definitely take pictures and post them. I was actually good today and did not order anything from VistaPrint, but I did browse the site for those window decals (waterproof stickers) to use on mugs. I hope things work out over time with your FI’s ex. Maybe she will come around eventually. It’s never warm enough when you go to Disney for Discovery Cove? What time of year do you normally go? Go in August or September, it is definitely hot enough then. Oh, and $1 is a great deal on invites. Pleas share pics when you get them. I’m thinking of getting a beach theme stencil from Michael’s or Hobby Lobby and using some paint (not sure what kind yet, have to research) to stencil the design on the mug. It won’t have our names or anything on it. I’m sure our guests will be sick of things with our names on them. Off topic… I am on work travel right now and staying in a hotel room. I don’t know if I will be able to sleep tonight because I can hear the person in the next room snoring loudly! I have the TV turned up and the AC fan going and I can still hear them. Ahhhh!!!
  7. Welcome to the forum! I'm also a cruise bride getting married in April 2010. Are you getting married on embarkation day or in one of the ports of call?
  8. Mel, I wish we were getting "special days" for getting married. I'm using up most of my vacation time for our two-weeks off. I know it will be soooo hard for you to go back to work after your long break. Quote: Originally Posted by SuzyQ76 Shortnsweet, it must get hard sometimes being away from each other a lot! We are 37 days away from our wedding, the guest list has been sent to Princess, so we are good to go! Also, whoever didn't call to RSVP (ie: give us the info), is not getting on the ship. Sorry for those that didn't read the insert and will show up at the pier... LOL Thanks again for posting! Glad I could help. Isn't it amazing that people just won't read everything you send them? I have to make phone calls and email people because they either left information out on the RSVP or their writing is so terrible I couldn't read it. You are right... whoever does not RSVP on time just won't get on the ship. LOL!

Hopefully, my case was a rare case and you get your flowers right on time. I wouldn't worry too much.

Everything I have found online (so far) doesn't fit with a beachy wedding theme. Does anyone have any that they would be willing to share? I also did pocketfold invites. My template is attached. It does not have a beachy theme though. You can use it for formatting purposes. I printed on both sides of the RSVP card since I needed to collect so much information. I've also attached a template I found on the web with a beachy theme. The font will look kind of funny if you don't have that font loaded on your computer. Try doing a search on this forum. I know I have come across a lot of RSVPs with beachy themes, but did not bookmark those threads. You might also want to look at using some items from VistaPrint for your RSVPs. Hope this helps! Like you feeling like the first week wont feel like a honeymoon. That'll be so nice in Orlando. Will you do Wilt Disney? lol I love that place and is dying to go again, especially universal studio's Not too lonely... Talk to the FI everyday and I keep myself busy working on wedding stuff and stalking the BDW and Cruise Critic message boards. Oh, and spending way too much time on VistaPrint, Discount Mugs, and other wedding favor sites ordering stuff for OOT bags and wedding favor bags. I need to stop. My FI and I live apart right now anyway. He lives about a 2.5 hour drive south of me. He will be moving to my city after the wedding. We usually see each other every other weekend. We will probably do at least one day at one of the Disney Parks. I really want to do Discovery Cove (where you get to swim with the dolphins). I've been to most of the parks though already, but not Universal Studios. We are just mainly going to relax. The resort has pretty much everything we need... pools, a water park, water sports, a beach, a golf course, restaurants, etc. So, we really don't need to leave the property very often. I can't wait!!!

You would need to find someone that really knows how to do a good press with the straightening comb or a good flat iron. It really depends on the texture of your hair and how it reacts to humidity. I know my hair would frizz right up if it weren't relaxed. Or you could try getting a full sew-in. Not sure how that would work for you since your natural hair is so long.

I know we are leaving in a month and 17 days and all I can think about is how much I am going to miss my 4 cats, and their usually sleeping, so I know it'll be worse for you guys with the dogs, as they are usually always around you guys. I will definitely miss them while I am gone (like I am right now). We are doing two weeks. Just recently decided to add one extra week. Since we will have 13 people going on our week-long cruise with us, it will not be a "true" honeymoon. So, we've decided to spend a week alone in Orlando, Florida at our timeshare resort when we return from the cruise.
  15. Thanks for the compliments ladies. I can't wait to see how they look with everything on the wedding day. Only 2 months to go!! Yes, I am glad I ordered in advance too. After being about 3 weeks late on delivery of my order, she forgot to include the rose clusters that go with my cake topper. But, they arrived within the next couple of weeks after I let her know they were missing. The "real smell" has worn off though. She must have used some sort of floral spray on them. lol... 17. It's too bad you are having so much "baby mama" drama Erin. It has to be super frustrating. You are so right... your situation sounds sooo much like my friend's situation. But, it sounds like you and his daughter get along just fine despite all the drama. My FI doesn't have any children, so luckily I don't have to deal with "baby mama" drama.
  18. I would like all 4 iron-ons. The luggage tags ($1 ea right?), and all 24 lanyards with retractable cords if you still have them. I will PM you now.
  19. Everything looked so beautiful! If these are the non-pro pics, I can only imagine how the pro pics will look. Congrats girl.
  20. They look great Michelle. I know you are glad to get that done... and stop shopping already. LOL!

  22. Ladies, thanks for all of your kind and supportive words about my dog’s situation. It’s so nice to hear that others understand what I’m feeling. Meghan, My dog did not appear too traumatized after the attack. I think I was more afraid to go back outside than she was. I let the doggie daycare staff know she had been attacked, so I am sure they will call me if she displays any aggressive behavior. She will probably have forgotten all about the incident after her two-week stay at the doggie daycare. They are literally outside all day (or in the inside play area) with other dogs except for naptime and bedtime when they are put in cages. Suzy, They don’t have webcams at the doggie daycare, but they do take you tube videos of them occasionally. I’ll probably call them tomorrow to check up on my babies. When I do finally have children, I know I will be super protective of them, seeing how I am with my dogs. Tracy, Glad to hear your BD session went well. I know you are so anxious to see the pictures! I am with you… I would not believe the room issue was resolved until I had the revised invoice in my hands. Erin, I hope your future step-daughter’s mother comes around and realizes that she should let her daughter be involved in your wedding. The magistrate is right, her daughter could end up resenting her for it. My friend and her son’s father are constantly in court over visitation issues. His father is always dragging my friend to court to complain about his child support payments or he thinks my friend needs to always put her son on a plane or drive him from Florida to Virginia so that he can visit with his son. He never makes an effort to travel from Virginia to Florida to see his son. Anyway, long story short, her son has become really resentful of his father the older he gets because it’s becoming apparent to him that this back and forth to court is more about “getting back†at his mother than actually trying to spend time with him. By the way, your centerpieces are gorgeous!
