  1. I just wanted to share my save-the-date packages. I finally got them mailed out this past Saturday. My fiancée and I have already started getting calls from people who received them in the mail today telling us how much they love them. I didn't do a complete DIY project like some of you all have done. I just didn't have the time. But, it still took a lot of time preparing the packages for mailing. My fiancée even helped me stuff and stamp envelopes into the wee hours of the morning. I thought that was so sweet. Here is everything we included in the mailing... Our save-the-date magnet and attachment card that we ordered from "A Giftful Heart" Our save-the-date letter. I bought the paper from Office Depot and printed the letters at home on my printer. Cruise Information for the guests. Printed out the information on my home printer. We included an RSVP postcard to get an estimated headcount (a preliminary RSVP). We ordered the postcards from MagnetStreet. Back of mailing envelope. We ordered rose stickers from MagnetStreet to seal the envelopes (I didn’t take a picture of that). I can’t remember where I ordered the black envelopes from, but my Mom hates the black envelopes. She tried to convince me not to use them. Front of mailing envelope. We ordered the return address labels from MagnetStreet. I printed the white mailing labels at home on my printer. We ordered Rose postage stamps (for the postcards and mailing envelopes) from Zazzle.com. That’s it! I don’t see how some of you find time to do such lovely DIY projects with the Passport STDs and Boarding Pass STDs. It was so difficult for me to make time to put together my STD packages. We are planning to send out formal invites and final RSVPs in January 2010.
  2. Great website! Your engagement story is so sweet. I also love the idea of posting pics of the confirmed guests on the site. I may consider doing that on my website (if my guests agree to it).
  3. Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  4. I don't have any info on weddings in Aruba. I just wanted to say congratulations and welcome to the forum.
  5. Congrats and welcome to the forum. I'm also an April 2010 bride!
  6. You will definitely find lots of great ideas on this forum. Congrats and welcome!
  7. Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  8. I just sent out my STDs this past weekend for my wedding cruise scheduled for April 2010. I included a save-the-date magnet, preliminary RSVP postcard, and information regarding the cruise (travel agent contact, cruise pricing, reservation info, etc.) in the save-the-date packet. I've also set up a wedding website for them to reference for information updates. This gives everyone sufficient time to plan and budget for the wedding. I don't plan to send out my formal invitation until January 2010 after the holidays. Hope that helps.
  9. They look great! I haven't used VistaPrint yet... will have to give them a try.

    Hello

Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  11. Do you mean websites for information resources or the best site for your own personal wedding website? I use "the knot" a lot for information and mywedding.com for our personal wedding website (it is free and very easy to set-up).
  12. Congrats... so exciting! My FI and I actually purchased our wedding bands the day after we got engaged. We got a great deal on them. I will have to post pics of them on this site.
  13. I am also an April cruise bride. Congrats on your daughter's engagement and welcome to the forum!
  14. Thanks for all of the feedback! Looks like the majority vote is for the Maggie dress. I was leaning towards the Maggie dress myself (it's a little bit sexier), but my mom and my MOH like the Moonlight dress better. I will definitely keep you posted on my final dress selection. Who knows, I may end up with something completely different... More to come.

I've tried on several dresses similar to the Maggie with a sweetheart neckline and, for some reason, that neckline just doesn't look good on me. But, thanks for the suggestion. I think once it's fitted, the neckline will look better :-)
  16. I am having a cruise wedding. The wedding will be on the day of departure in Miami, FL. The cruise is a 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise and will be our honeymoon, but some of our friends and family will be cruising with us. So, we will probably take an anniversary trip a year later by ourselves.
  17. These are my cuties... A Lab/Doberman mix and a Beagle mix. The pic on the left is of my lab mix after she decided to take a roll in a mud puddle. The pic on the right is my beagle with his christmas present.
  18. I don't think 6pm is too late. It will give you more time to prepare during the day and it will also allow your guests to sleep in a little late. Plus, an evening wedding is so romantic.
  19. I love this challenge. I'll have to find some good pics of my two dogs (my babies).
  20. Welcome to the forum Sarah!
