Hey ladies, i missed a couple days and just now catching up, Tam congrats on the legal wedding day and soo excited that your big day is tomorrow. Jocy excited that you leave tomorrow for your big day on the 25th Can't wait to see all the pictures and read the reviews, everything is going to be wonderful and soo beautiful !!!!

They haven't charged my card either from what past and current brides have said they don't charge your card until you get there. Like Erin said, I'm actaully surprised they charged your card Nat. I thought they only keep the cc info incase you cancel and have to pay the $100 deposit fee.

melbeern, me and FI choose to get the Honeymoon Suite because we wanted a bigger room for all our stuff and for getting ready, and we want to feel like were on our honeymoon after lol.... but we did not opt to get ther preffered club room because we didn't feel it was worth the money, some of the past brides who had preffered said it was cool to have but not neccessary, you do get upgraded toiletries and access to the preffered lounge, hot & cold hordorves, and free internet but thats pretty much it, we plan on hanging with our family and friends so the private area or upgraded toiletries wasn't that important to us.

hmmm i know for Delta and American airlines I could still bring my purse/bag and my dress, plus I will make Mike bring on a carry on for any other stuff we need to have with us. Yeh I have been reading all the new travel restrictions and some of them just suck, I am getting ready to send out an announcement to all our guest informing them to purchase airline tickets and to read and be aware of all the travel restrictions. so there are no surprises when they get to the airport. I am still going to try and disburse some of our items to family members hahaha and hopefully it can cut down some cost

I don't even want to begin to think about what we will be paying in extra baggage fees, I know with just our clothes and things for both of us for a week thats alot of bags then to think about all the wedding stuff wheewww were going to be paying a couple extra hundred. I am soo excited for all the January brides Tam and Jocy you guys are less than 2 weeks away from your special days

I too had the same problem at first because I am close with my step dad and dad, and I am going to have my dad walk me down the first part of the aisle and my step dad meet us half way and then they will both continue to walk me down together , this kinda symbolized when my step dad actually came into my life.

Hey ladies, hope everyone had a wonderful new years. I do agree the review is a bit discouraging, however I'm going to just roll with it and hope for the best. I think most resorts have some room problems unless its brand new. I even been to hotels here in the US that were 5 star rated and the rooms were not the best. The main reson for us to go there is too celebrate our wedings and have a good time with friends and family. all the reviews I have read for alot of the resorts in DR had some sort of room problems other than the new resorts like the Moon Palace, the Iberstar hotels but they are alot newer than DPC. I don't plan on being in my room alot anyways and if its a bad room I will have them switch us. I also requested that all our immediate family be placed in the same building.

I have to email Flori and ask her is she can accomdate 72 guest on the boat, I know I saw somewhere that the max was 50 people for a real dinner meal, so I'm going to see if she will allow more guest.
