Are you thinking about carrying them on the plane?

Basically the resort can create their own pricing because it has an on-site spa. I did ask her about make up for my bridesmaids since that is not a price in the spa menu and she said she was going to check on that for me. I asked about what type of make up was used and she said all kinds ( pretty veg). I am half tempted to call my friend that work manages a MAC store in KC and have her help me pick out color and applying, etc... I do my friends make up here when we go out and stuff so I know I could do it, it just makes me nervous. I mean its my wedding day and what if i mess up. I will throw a fit! Also, I think i am going to rent vases from the resort and then use my bride's maids bouquets as the flowers for the center pieces. Tiffany even told me I could bring my own rocks, or whatever I wanted to fill the bottom of the vases with and the on-site coordinator can help me make sure they are down before dinner. I remember some other girls using this idea for their center pieces and i think it will work out great. Oh, and I am asking them to take the hanging corsages from the gazebo to our room after the ceremony. I figure I am paying for them and might as well enjoy them as long as possible. All and all it was ok, just got to say on top of everything.

I have been really looking into the pricing for the spa services at AZ but if I am looking correctly the Vassa Spa menu prices are different (and higher) than the rates posted on the Lomas web site. So which one is correct? For example on the Lomas site make up preview session and the wedding day session are $134.00 total, but in the Vassa spa menu its $168.00. I have a list of questions for my WC about this topic. If anyone else has questions too let me know and I would be happy to ask.

Hey ladies I hope all had a great Thanksgiving. The holidays have arrived and now in full force. Its gonna get crazy. I got up at 4am went shopping, took a nap and now at work till noon. Me and the Fi are going to get out and shop a little more this afternoon. Of course its mostly for us. Hey a girl can't deny a good shoe sale. I went back to my list and see what I got accomplished and the result is 2 out of 3. I did however get a good chunk of things done that weren't on the list. I feel like I'm making progress! Things that are done since 11/13: - Thank you's for shower - Remaining details for wedding ceremony - Started getting stuff for OOT bags - AH reception invites ordered, proofed and paid for. - Ordered engagement pics for grandparents - Shoes are in and picked up.

I know there have been alot of sucessful weddings there and Im so happy for those brides AND I prob will be another successful wedding there, although im not sure I'd reccommend the resort after my planning expirence with them.... over 2months to go of planning and seriously stressing.... I feel like I cant get anything I want from them. Just heard back from Tiffany and there is no "mexican" make-up artist allowed at resort. lol. Go figure. And since Tiffany reads through this forum, Im learning that I get responses right after I post on here. AWESOME. Amy, I am so sorry you are having such bad luck with responses with Tiffany. Is there anything I can do to help? It really sucks we can't have someone come on site to do makeup. I am sure there is a fee, there is a fee for everything. Has she been able to help you with reception or wedding locations on the resort? I know the time is going to fly by and if I am correct we have to have most of our decisions made my the end of Dec. Please call if you need anything or just need to vent.

The chair cost is insane, especially when you think about how much time they are going to be used. I have been looking the scenery is still really pretty chair bows or no chair bows.

The beadwork is kind of silver... I tried on 3 other ones from Nordstrom and they were all gorgeous. The pictures online so them no justice. Nordstrom takes them back for no charge too if you decide you dont want to keep it. For example, I have a size 6 and 8 now and waiting to see which one fits better come April and time for alterations! OMG that dress is awesome! You are going to be a godess in it. Your dress really opens the door for new ideas. I could always not go traditional dress route and do sometihng more fun. Thank Amy B!

I realized after looking at everyone's pictures that I am going to need a dress to get wet and dirty for pictures. Has one heard of Cheap Wedding Gowns, Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Dresses, Discount Bridal Gowns-Lilywedding.com. Some of the stuff on here is terrible ugly but then there are lots of cute dresses too. Really want to see what everyone else is doing for this. Here is the one i was looking at: Unusual Wedding Dress - Style LWD0010-LilyWedding.com Would love suggestions.

Shanda, Your pictures are beautiful. The wedding looked picture perfect. Were there a lot of people watching you? It looks like I might need to prepare myself for an audience. How did your hair and make up hold up throughout the night? We are getting mixed reviews about the make up so would love your opinion too.

Im going to concider this and compare it with AS spa prices. Amy, First of all thank you for looking for those luggage tags for me at Michael's. I have been looking too but no luck. Plan B is going to be in full effect shortly. Second, I need full details on MAC and now you are going to get her on the resort without fireworks.

Nicole, when you get a chance, would you please add me to the list--May 28! I got my bridesmaid's dresses at Ross for $15, so I am super-excited about that. They are a really pretty teal color and are chiffon. I was so worried about finding a dress because all of my girls are different sizes, but they all loved the dress and thought it was very flattering. I got their jewelry at Sam Moon (omg, I am in love with that store!)--they each got a silver starfish necklace, and I also found luggage tags for all of them. My dress has come in, and I HAVE to lose 5 pounds for it to fit correctly. I'm a little worried with Thanksgiving being next week--any tips on how to stay fit during the holidays?! Congrats and welcome! The girls here are great help and super motivating. You are well on your way if you already have your dress, bridesmaid dresses and jewelry for your bridesmaids. My advice for the Thanksgiving, use a smaller plate. Its really easy to load up a big plate of delish carbs, gravy, turkey, etc... but if you have a smaller plate it will help with portion control. I have been doing this a lot lately for all my meals and its helped so much. Good luck.

My handwriting sucks so I'm sure they are going to look crappy now. Also the paper I special ordered for my OOTs gift bag agenda insert never showed up and now is on forever backorder. I guess the only postivie/negative is that I gained three pounds last week, but my dress still fits I think it is time for some vodka and a sedative... Ash, Keep your head up girl! It sucks when you miss your appts and things don't go as planned, but you are getting married! Its going to be a great day and no one will ever know there was a hiccup. You got your man, your dress, and getting married in a tropical paradise. What else could you ask for! Plus who doesn't want to spend Thanksgiving on the beach!

Hi ladies I have been so piled up at work, its been getting in the way of reading and writing on the thread. Nicole, Its really refreshing to know you had things to do after your dinner. What you did is exactly what I was thinking when we finish dinner. It sounds like it worked out well and you all had plenty of room to have a good time. I am going to remember bringing our own docking station for the Ipod for music. Thanks a bunch.

I never really like the idea of a guest book to be honest so I am doing something a little different. I have looked a little but haven't put much effort in looking for the OOT bag itself. I was so worried about the stuffing, i forgot I need put everyting in something :-) Are you stuffing your bags at home or when you get down to the resort?
