  1. Its really crazy we have to pay for all of the additional add-on's at an all inclusive resort. One of the reasons my FI and I choose a DW is not to worry about all the wedding details and just have fun with our family and friends. We decided not to have a private event and to use the Spoon reservation. I told Tiffany already, I would like to request the curtained area now and if at all possible put in any input with the chef for the meal. I had her put all of this in my spreadsheet so its all in writing. We are having a big reception at home so we are not too concerned about the first dance, speeches,etc.. We really won't be missing any of it since we get to do it at home. I know we can do toast at the table over dinner and cake. The bottom line is, its really all about us and our special day. We know its not going to be private but with 40 -50 of us, we won't even notice there are other people around. More than likely people will want to get away from us.
  2. 27 Dress sorry you have to cancel your wedding. Its even more of a bummer you are going to be out the deposit. Best of luck for what you and you FI decide to do.

Also included in the price is our engagement session, and our religious blessing and reception on March 6th back home. Over all the price wasn't much more than a full day for a wedding at home. Katie. Defiantly try to get a few snap shots of your dress in the store. The store I bought my dress form doesn't allow cameras either but I just did it and then never said anything about it.

My colors are coral and brunt orange, I'll just keep an eye on the pricing. Thank you Meghan! It really is wonderful to get other bride's opinions.

Like someone else mentioned, it is $100 -150 for each piece of fabric, however, Tiffany told me I can get 2 pieces (green and turquoise) for a total of $150 which is better. I also asked her about bringing our own fabric for us to set up ourselves, and what the dimensions are. Here is her response : "Unfortunately, you will not be able to assist with the set up of the ceremony location. You can bring the fabric with you but there will be a set up charge of $100. The length of the fabric is 3 meters which comes out to around 9 feet. " To me, that seems like a rip off as well. If you purchase your own fabric, you still have to pay them $100 to set it up for you. I have decided to get the 2 sheets of fabric from them for $150. Tiffany is my WC and quoted me $100 per sheet as well. Do you think I should ask her about $150 for both sheets?
  7. Katie, Wear whatever dress you feel like a princess in. Its your day! Just because you are having a destination wedding doesn't mean you have to wear a "destination dress". Also, ask the store you buy your dress from for packing tips. They will know the best way to pack the dress; they might even pack it for you if your bring in a suit case or carry on.

Is it your impression that 1 piece of fabric drapes over the front 2 poles and the 2nd drapes over the back to poles? I know that is very confusing lol. If i knew how to post a picture, I would!! Anyone know? 2 or 3 pieces of fabric should work. I sent Grace a photo of what I wanted and then asked her to incorporate my colors. Tiffany who is my WC now, has copied the picutre into my spreadsheet. wedding decor.doc

If I were you I'd buy a bottle of $2 wine and ship it down to Mexico, just to see if it makes it there. That would be more of an accurate test I think than just an empty box and you could see how many days it takes to get there. I'd love to hear back on your test because I did plan to ship champagne as well I would also like to know if the box makes it to Mexico. Our Photogs are planning to ship equipment down to the resort.
