    playa!

Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  2. Hi ladies! I'm a 2011 bride, May 6, 2011 to be exact in the Riviera Maya. We're now thinking Dreams Tulum for our locations. We literally don't have time to get married in 2010 because I don't have any breaks from school (i'm working on my master's) and we're taking 2 weeks to go to Thailand for my best friends wedding, so there goes Fi's 2 week vacation! I figure having it in 2011 gives me plenty of time and this way I can have it all planned 6 months before so I can study and get my license and start my practice without worrying about wedding details, that's the plan anyway. I've booked my photographer, had the wedding colors picked and flowers way before we were engaged. I'm also doing passport STD's and boarding pass invites. We originally were planning on 20-25 now we're looking closer to 60 guests!! I'm planning on sending my STD's out in April and my invites in September with an RSVP date on November 1, 2010. Ok that was a little more lengthy than I thought it would be. Glad to see this thread I didn't think there were others planning this far out!
  3. Congrats and welcome to the forum! You will find a lot of great information on here about locations. If you are wanting to stick with Florida there is an entire thread dedicated to the different locations you can check out.
  4. That's a great story, I'm glad the sun came out for your proposal!
  5. I'm so sorry about what happened. I can't believe your bridesmaids would behave in such a juvenile fashion. They were supposed to be in your wedding and ignoring you and your guests is absolutely ridiculous, especially when you are providing them with a place to stay. I don't think there is anything wrong with you having one attendant at all. There is not point in having more bridesmaids if that is the way they act!
  6. I think one long table with you and your FI set up at the front so you can see down the table and all of your guests would be a good idea. If you are worried about cliques that's one way to help and you can still assign seating so they are a little more spread out around the table.
  7. I haven't done this yet but plan on doing so with my invites. I've seen a lot of other examples from brides on here where they mention it on their RSVP cards e.g yes we're attending, sorry can't make it, and then can't make it to destination but we'll see you on such and such date in city location to celebrate at your reception. Not the best example but I hope it makes sense.
  8. Congrats and welcome to the forum! For the Tulum area look into Ana y Jose weddings you can check them out at Tulum Weddings - The perfect wedding destination., they are quick at responses and pretty easy to work with. Good luck with everything!

  11. The best thing to do is contact your resort and ask them specifically if they allow for Sunday weddings.

  13. Alright thanks, we want to book everything like very very soon, we've set our wedding out so far because of our schedules and in the months of crunch time I won't have any time to do anything so I'm trying to book everything over a year out. I just can't get Xhail to respond back.
