I just purchased organza for the canopy. I'm hoping I ordered enough, I ordered 5 yards of each fabric based on the measurements from Aurora. Do you think this will be enough? If you took down fabric how many yards did you get?

Definitely do Cinco de Mayo! As you've already found it's not a big holiday that they recognize in Mexico as much as we do in the US. My wedding is on the 6th so we're doing Cinco de Mayo celebration for a welcome dinner.

We paid $339 for our flights but they aren't direct we have to connect through Dallas. I'm trying to shop for flights for my parents and currently the cheapest I'm finding is $417. I signed up on yapta.com to get a weekly update on the flight pricings for specific flights I'm looking at. I recommend it if you're wanting to monitor a specific flight for a few weeks.

very pretty Cherazi, I love blue nile! I'm taking my dress in tomorrow to see how much it's going to cost me in alterations, and to see if this person can even alter it. Sometimes I wish the store I had purchased it at had in-store alterations so I didn't have to go shop around. I'm undecided on where to have them hem it to though, I'm really short...like barely 5'2 so I have 2inch flip flops to wear and 4 inch heels to dance in to make me and FI's height gap a little better for pics. I don't really want them to hem it to the 4inch heel size though since I"ll be barefoot for the ceremony. Do you think it'll look stupid when I put the heels on if I have them do it to the 2 inch flops?

Just to clarify, I believe Aurora told me they use the same chairs for the ceremony as they do the reception. I'm just asking if this is how it was done because I only bought enough chair sashes for the number I need not double.

It's really whenever you want to get them like most girls have said. We bought my band about 2 weeks after he proposed, which was 1.5 years ago. FI ordered his band 3 weeks ago and it just came in today actually! Our wedding is May 6. I like to have things checked off the list so I would say the sooner the better just so it's one more thing you'll have done.

I am currently trying to get my deposit back from Julieta. I made the deposit shortly before receiving the email and seeing this post. I then emailed her and asked for my deposit due to these instances and that I didn't need the stress of worrying about this before my wedding. She agreed, however I'm still waiting for my refund. I emailed her again today saying that I hope she responds quickly with my refund because I would rather not open a paypal claim. She responded saying that her paypal account is tied up at the moment....so we'll see. I'll give her one more week because it's Christmas but if I don't have it by next Monday I'm going to have to open a dispute.

I'm still planning on toning up a bit and hopefully losing a couple extra lbs still, but I'm starting to look into alterations now. You usually have 3-4 fittings and adjustments can be made along the way. I plan on taking mine in right after Christmas to start the process.

I really want to do this during our ceremony, but I'm having difficulty trying to figure out where to put it in. Jenny I like how you have it under the affirmation, but do you have the minister make a comment at the end of the ceremony about throwing them into the ocean....or put it in the program? I'm trying to organize this correctly so it flows and will make sense and our guests will know exactly what to do with their shells.

Color choices are great! I know quite a few brides who have used this combination before and it's beautiful! Don't worry about not finding much as far as inspiration boards, I still have yet to find any with my color choices on it but just take the things I like and imagine them in the colors I want.

The dresses are gorgeous ladies! Erin - I ordered all real touch flowers from Angel's Accents. I paid $400 for my bouquet, 3 BM bouquets. groom bout, 3 GM bouts, 2 bouts for the dads, and 2 corsages for moms. I also got extra stems of the orchids to decorate the cake with.

I originally thought that white would be fine but I pulled out a white dress shirt of his and put it up next to my dress and they look awful next to each other. I just found an 'almond' colored dress shirt at Macy's online so I'm going to go tonight to look at it with a piece of the fabric from my dress. I'm hoping this will be a much better option for us.

I've been searching for this topic and have yet to come across so I'm reaching out to anyone with some advice. My dress is oyster colored and I love it. However, white looks horrific when you put it beside it. I'm at a loss on what to do about FI's attire. We are ordering him a tan linen suit, but do I just go with the white shirt even though it looks horrible or use another alternative of a natural color or something?
