Wow that's a tough situation to be in. I mean I would probably tell her that if she wants to be there you would appreciate her coming but you don't want her to ruin your wedding, and that if she can't be nice she should keep her comments to herself because this is your day not hers. The thing my mom has always said about my sister's husband and my fiance when people ask her if they like them (which fortunately she does) is well "yes I do, but I don't have to like him because I'm not the one who has to live with him". So remind your mother that you love this man and want to marry him, and it doesn't matter what she thinks because it's not her relationship. -

That limit per person is not crazy at all. I had originally looked into St. John and Croix in the beginning but ran into the same problem, there was no way I could ask my guests to spend what they were asking so we moved to Mexico. I'm not sure about Jamaica but I know a lot of brides on here will be able to help you. Try checking out some reviews on brides who have had weddings in Jamaica.

That's way to soon after you get back, you need time to relax first. We're planning on having ours a month after the wedding. It gives you some time to get settled back in. It will allow you to have your wedding photos ready and everything to so that the guests that didn't make it to Aruba will be able to enjoy them.
